‘Chuck’ Off to a Good Start

The premiere of Chuck got off to a good start last night, edging out the season/series premieres of CBS’ How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory, with a second-place finish in both total viewers (9.28 million) and adults 18-49 (3.6/9). But comparably that was off by double-digit percentages from the first half of a two-hour edition of former occupant Deal or No Deal one year earlier. Chuck led into the second season-premiere of Heroes at a healthy 14.12 million viewers (#2) and a first-place 6.5/15 among adults 18-49 from 9-10 p.m. Comparably, Heroes debuted on the year-ago evening with 14.09 million viewers and a 5.9/14 in the demo.
