STRIKE NEWS: Progress Made but Nothing’s Settled

You may be hearing rumors that the writers’ strike is “almost over”, that it could be wrapped up by the end of the week. Well, progress has been made, but the strike is NOT over. During talks late last week and over the weekend, negotiators representing the writers and the producers hammered out some important points. Now the lawyers are writing up the official language which will have to be agreed upon by both sides. Once the WGA negotiators feel they have a viable contract to present, they will take it to the WGA members for approval. Until that contract is agreed upon and ratified by the WGA, the strike will continue. The writers are still on the picket lines and they still need our support.
