More fabulous Chuck casting news, courtesy of Ausiello at EW: Captain Awesome’s parents have been cast! Mama Awesome, aka Dr. Honey Woodcombe, will be played by Morgan Fairchild, while Papa Awesome, aka Dr. Woody Woodcombe, will be played by Bruce Boxleitner. Chandler’s Mom and the Scarecrow? AWESOME! They’ll first show up in episode 2.09, “Chuck vs. the Sensei” (spoilers).

Also guest starring in this episode is Carl Lumbly (formerly Marcus Dixon on Alias) who will play the titular sensei, a man Casey knows well. Carl is the second Alias alum to guest star on the show, following Kevin Weisman’s turn last season.

This season is shaping up to be a goldmine of great casting!
