Chuck In 3-D Gets a Ratings Boost

With massive promotion during the Super Bowl, we were expecting to see the ratings go up this week but we have to be honest, we were hoping for something more impressive than 8.35 million. Still, that’s a season high for Chuck and we expect to see that number go up significantly when online viewings are counted.

  1. I think the last nights rating is as good as it gets. If Chuck surpasses ABC is pretty much a win for NBC and Chuck. Maybe we have expected a lot form Chuck we never consider that Chuck was off for 6 weeks and before the long hiatus we up against TSCC, Big Bang/How I Met and Dancing with the Stars. We were ok with that set up. But this time everything is pretty much overcrowded. Not only was The Big Bang Theory gaining more viewers, but we are up against HOUSE. NBC should be happy that Chuck has reached 8.35 M, i think this has been it’s best rating since 2007. I think that if NBC’s hasn’t put an hiatus on CHuck, i mean sure a hiatus is good for about 2 weeks or 3 but 6? That’s just bad planning for NBC, they should have sticked with CHuck and Heroes on Monday they could have made a following on that 6 weeks. Well anyways I would expect for a renewal for Chuck. THis is the best rating they could have gotten. And I do think house isn;t much of a threat to Chuck, The Big Bang is. But House and Chuck pretty much has different target audience. NBC should just renew Chuck so that writer’s could plan for next season, I mean that’s one thing to renew a series early, but it’s more on the creative side. Last years early renewal and hiatus did not just made CHuck better, but bigger, funnier and explosive. It’s by far one of televisions best scripted shows.

  2. This is like the third or fourth week that numbers have gone up, right? NBC can’t ignore that. Chuck WILL return.
