Congratulations to Chuck, nominated for an Emmy! Nominees for the 61st Primetime Emmys were announced this morning, and while Chuck didn’t get one of the “big” nominations, the stunt work is being recognized again this year:
- Outstanding Stunt Coordination – Chuck – Chuck Versus The First Date – Merritt Yohnka, Stunt Coordinator
The Emmy awards will be presented Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 8/7c on CBS.

I’m disappointed that more of those involved with the creation process didn’t get nominated.

The lack of recognition is not a suprise. However it really lights a new fire under my hind end to do what I can to get this show more attention because the cast and crew deserve recognition.

These award shows have a time honored tradition of honoring the average/mediocre and blowing off the significant.
Shows like Seinfeld or Everybody Loves Raymond, or any other solid, well rounded show tend to get slighted, IMHO.

I can’t believe the show didn’t get a Best Pic and that in the very least Adam Baldwin didn’t get a supporting nom. Very disappointed in what was nominated in a few areas.

It would’ve been kinda hard for AB to get a nom when apparently he didn’t submit an episode this year. Least that’s what I heard/remember reading someplace.
But I have to agree – the fact that Chuck and/or Zach were slighted really super bugs. Or that there were no writing noms. I thought Entourage was weak this year, and Two and Half Men is just the worst! (but I’m happy for FoTC!!)
Oh well, better luck next year Chuck fans.

Come on. Chuck deserves more than that. I mean Family Guy (ye I know! wtf right?) got a nomination and not Chuck. Come on. At least we got one.

@mizenkay – I agree with you on the writing noms. I think vs the Seduction and vs the Ring should have gotten nominated for writing.
