That’s right, we’re getting THREE episodes of Chuck in two days to kick off the third season! I don’t know about a fanfic, but this scene was part of a leaked script a couple of months ago. Perhaps that’s what you’re remembering, or perhaps the fanfic writer incorporated parts of the leaked script into their story.

The video is awesome. You see a bit of Chuck in training, Chuck dancing with Sarah much like Bryce in Breakup, and all sorts of other great stuff. It was a little choppy for me, I think there are just too many people trying to watch it right now. I will watch it again in a day or two.
I am so excited right now, but boy am I going to be busy the week before Chuck. I will only have 5 days to get through the S2 box set before S3 starts.

I don’t like Sarah intimating to that thug that Chuck is her ex, but it is just one scene and we don’t fully understand the context.

I don’t think Chuck was supposed to be there. He has to communicate with Casey by mouthing words at him, while Casey and Sarah have ear pieces. It also explains why Casey tries to have Chuck taken out with the tranq dart.

kg, I am not worried about Chuck & Sarah nearly as much now, as I was before.
Mainly because of Gord’s little tidbit to us from another thread, where he said that Yvonne said Chuck & Sarah will slowly be moving from ” Like To Love”!

All of us C&S relationship fans will just have to ride it out & get through some rough patches until hopefully, we finally get what we are hoping for regarding these two.
I am now anxious for season 3 thanks to Gord but still a little leary if the writers will come through fully, with what I & others are hoping for.
(Real Feelings Expressed between Chuck & Sarah & the beginings of the couple I hope.)
The question that I have for season 3 is this:
Some of Chuck’s innocence was taken away in season 2 in Santa Claus with Chuck witnessing Sarah shoot Mauser in cold blood. It was necessary, & Chuck did not know til later the reasons behind Sarah’s actions.
I think that shocked Chuck back to reality in season 2, that his relationship with Sarah, while obvious that love was growing between them, was not going to be all fun times & sweetness.
The relaionship while great & something I think they both want had its dangers because of the job & the situation they both were in.
I am wondering, now that Chuck is a full fledged spy, if he will have such a watershed type moment in season 3 & a choice to make that possibly is against his original nature. Possibly to save Sarah or maybe a family member?
Interesting question to ponder as season 3 draws near!

If you look carefully, there is one short clip with Chuck in a long hall way pushing someone out of the way then leveling 2 guns (I’m flashing back to Chucks comment to Cole – “2 guns you really are a bad ass}.
I am pretty sure that the guy he pushes out of the way is Capt Awesome. So we might see Chuck kill to save Awesome.

So, then, it appears as if Hannah and Shaw aren’t really love interests as some feared.
It appears as though they’re selling this as Chuck choosing to be the guy he thinks Sarah wants, he’s becoming a super spy to ultimately impress her. And it’s not really working out well.
She actually loved the innocent, sweet Chuck, but never assured him of that. It appears as though she doesn’t like this Chuck. She’s annoyed by him and I would assume is pissed off that he downloaded this new intersect.

Yes, I agree, it appears that the writers are going to have Sarah be a little annoyed & angry at Chuck for putting the Intersect back in his head.
At least for a short time anyway.
However, i don’t think Chuck making the choice that he did has anything to do with him wanting to impress Sarah. Yes Chuck has been jealous of men like Bryce in the past & fumbled his way to respond to Sarah, with suave agents like Bryce & Cole around. He mistakenly did this, because he thought these men were better than him & the type of men Sarah truly wanted.
The choice he made to put the new Intersect back into his head had nothing to do with trying to impress Sarah, rather it was his desire to protect her, his family & friends & a feeling that he could help, that led to his choice.
Think back to the Ring ep. Chuck is in the Intersect room with a dying Bryce. Chuck I believe is upset for many reasons. He wants Bryce to live. 1 Because he believes him now to be a friend again. 2 Because Chuck believes wrongly that Bryce is the man Sarah truly loved. 3 Chuck believes that if Bryce lives,Bryce, Sarah & Casey could defeat the Ring.
However,what was Bryce’s dying request of Chuck?
For him to take care of Sarah, destroy the computer & get out of there.
Now Chuck has the ultimate choice to make.
Bryce is dead. Chuck does love Sarah & his family & friends.
However, the dream of having a life with Sarah he felt might not happen but he still felt he needed to keep her safe & help her fight the Ring.
It is also Chuck’s nature that even when he is advised against it to want to help the people he loves.
Chuck did a selfless act. Not to impress Sarah, because he felt she would love him more if he were a spy but to help Sarah & Casey fight the Ring & help protect Sarah & his family & friends.
Chuck standing at the computer, with all of the conversations with Sarah & others running through his mind, finally realized he was a Hero & the right man for this job.
He put the Intersect back into his head not to impress Sarah or anyone else but because, he felt it was the best thing to do to protect Sarah & his family & friends because, these are the people he loves & as Chuck always does, he put aside his own wants & needs of a normal life because he felt he could help them.
Sarah, may be angry at Chuck at the start of season 3 because she was ready to be with Chuck & give up the CIA for normal with Chuck.
The writers will surely play this angle up as well.
I do think, that Sarah will come to realize however, that Chuck superspy & the Chuck she loves are still one in the same man.

It was just Chuck being Chuck.

I undoubtedly agree with you BMB. He downloaded it to protect the ones he loves, including Sarah even though she can take care of herself. He finally realized he IS a hero. He IS that guy and frankly, has proven he has the aptitude and intellect to handle the intersect. I believe you that his motives were good. He always does the right thing.
I too, think that Chuck and Sarah will eventually end up together. It is enevitable unless one or both are killed. No way was I implying that her anger with Chuck would last forever. I was just generalizing based on the short clip we were provided. I was just thinking about the Charah fans. Ultimately, I don’t think they/we have to worry so much about Hannah and Shaw. The Ring is huge. You’re right Chuck had to do this. Shaw will help.
But I also believe I’m right about Chuck’s second reason for downloading the new intersec. Think about who Chuck was before Bryce sent him the email and Sarah and Casey came to town. Very insecure. Underachieving.
He knows Sarah cares for him. But yeah, take your pick, he either doesn’t know or doesn’t believe Sarah actually loves him – the sweet, innocent, caring, loyal geek. He thinks that she can only love a guy like Cole or Bryce. He’s seen the attraction. Repeatedly.
So absolutely, in the back of his mind he’s thinking that Sarah will never come around and love him unless he’s a spy and not just an asset. I’m not disagreeing with you. Great analysis. I just think he had more on his mind than what you allege in that vault. He wants to impress her some and show off a little.
And let’s face it. He has become a spy slowly but surely. And he tells Sarah that in one of the promos I saw. Bryce and Cole have been friends. Everybody likes Chuck. He’s learned something from everyone he’s met. The only thing those two have been guilty of is digging Sarah. Who wouldn’t?
Chuck understands that. Why wouldn’t Cole and Bryce be attracted to Sarah? What Chuck sees more clearly is how Sarah is so easily attracted to guys like Cole and Bryce.

Your right, Chuck has seen how easily Sarah’s head is turned by the “Mans Man” spy types like Bryce & Cole.
It is also understandable for the Chuck of the 1st 2 seasons anyway, to want to be perceived as more of a “Mans Man” himself.
Your perfectly right, Chuck has always wanted to impress Sarah.
& see what kind of reaction he would get from her by doing that.
What Chuck has not seen & to this point still does not believe, is the deep & profound affect that his (Chuck) being in Sarah’s life has had on her & how much she truly does love him. Chuck still does not see it or believe it.
I would love to have a scene or 2 in reverse in season 3 of the ones we had in season 2 of Chuck seeing Cole kissing Sarah.
I would love to see Sarah see a video of Roan & Chuck talking in the courtyard & Chuck telling Roan that Sarah was worth dying for.
I really think that something like that would be the final push Sarah needed to tell Chuck her true feelings for him & that is what I want to see. The Real feelings that C&S have for each other to be spoken of face to face.
Thanks to Gords news to us about what Yvonne said would eventually happen between Chuck & Sarah. “Moving from Like To Love” I’m optimistic something like this can happen.

That is the irony of this entire show. Just about every character, major or minor and we the fans, can see how Sarah feels about Chuck simply by her facial expressions, reactions, the way she looks at him and the way she talks about him. Everybody, of course, except Chuck himself.
You hit the nail on the head. Probably my favorite scene. Chuck’s admission to Roan that yes indeed she was worth dying for. More powerful than Chuck telling his dad he loved her, more powerful than “yeah you do,” more powerful than any of their kisses, more powerful than the charm bracelet moment, more powerful than covering shielding her from the fulcrum intersect. And then he goes ahead and jumps off a building for her.
Giving up his life for hers. What more could a woman want from a man? What more could he give her?
Your other post made me think exactly when Sarah fell in love with Chuck. There were a lot of tender moments in the first two seasons, many of which could be argued that she did indeed fall for him.
I think it was that moment in his room after the sprinklers went off. He gave her the check and asked “if she had time for one more mission.” And her retort was a wry smile and “That’s not what a normal guy would do.”
And then of course the romantic wedding on the beach played out. And finally her mind was made.
Just curious what you thought about that.

Your probably right kg. Ring is when Sarah made up her mind that she loved him & wanted to be with him.
However, I think Sarah has loved Chuck for a much longer period of time than that.
I think Sarah has loved Chuck since early on in S1.
Possibly I think she knew she loved Chuck in wookie, with the pizza box at her hotel & breaking down & muttering my middle name is Lisa under her breath.
Chuck was having the “Weak In The Knees Effect” on Sarah very early on in this show.
Sarah’s biggest problem, I think has been that it has taken her this long to admit her feelings for Chuck to herself.
Sarah has taken this long to admit to herself, just how deeply she loves Chuck. Now, If they could only tell each other! LOL!
I have a question now for you kg. W e know, that their will be rough patches this season for Chuck & Sarah & that things might be strained for a time.

Wow. That’s a tough question. Don’t we agree that she loves him? She’s just angry? So, you must mean when does she actually admit it?
It could be something like taking a bullet for her. Or something simple and sweet by or from Chuck. That’s truly the Chuck she fell in love with. And I bet Awesome plays a role in that.
We know Awesome is going to assist on a mission or two. Word has it that although Devin learns that their relationship is a cover, he sees what everyone else sees. She has real feelings for his bro.
I would guess he has a big talk with Chuck reminding him who he is, to cut the cocky spy crap and that Sarah is a 1-in-a-million girl worth fighting for.

Don’t you think that the reaction Chuck would have to killing someone would say more than the actual act.
I think if Chuck has to kill someone, even to defend himself or others, it will have a profound effect on him and will likely be a very dramatic, powerful scene in the show.
But at least you are not saying you wont watch if Chuck kisses another girl, or is that another condition of your viewership?
Frankly, from the clips I saw, S3 will be fabulous and if some fans are going to be short-sighted and switch off the TV if there is one scene that makes them uncomfortable, than I really feel sorry for them.
Feeling uncomfortable, sad or confused are emotions that writers usually want us to feel. Then they hit us with a special moment where that goodness comes – the moment of relief, happiness and clarity that makes us feel so great.

Killing someone doesn’t make you an assassin. Awesome was the guy Chuck pushed out of the way. If this happens to be the episode where Awesome is being targeted for assassination that might put Chuck’s actions in a different light. Still, there’s no way of telling whether he killed or simply incapacitated them with shots to the hands and limbs.

Looks to me as if Zac has been hitting the gym- maybe it was just for the ill-fated role in the THOR flick, but I’d like to think he was making a commitment to the character of Chuck.
