EW’s Ausiello confirms that Chuck’s dad, aka Steven Bartowski, aka Orion, is coming back for several episodes of Chuck. Josh Schwartz calls Bakula’s return “the biggest thing we’ve ever done on the show.†Could this be a prelude to the appearance of…Mama Bartowski?

I will second your thoughts. Wouldn’t it be great to see a Bartowski family reunion. Maybe Dean Stockwell could play an Uncle.
Also, they might get mileage over bringing in actors from Enterprise series to interact with Papa B.
If I’m not mistaken the doctor from Enterprise is Gen Beckman’s husband in real life. Talk about keeping it in the family.

well since we started the speculations about a possible mama B making an appearance, i would like to further the speculation by saying that i remeber having a bad gut feeling that mamma B was the shadow lady figure they showed in the Ring during season 2. Let me add that i hope im wrong.

By the way, I was just talking with some people on JTV as we re-watched the first 3 episodes of Chuck from this season and we came up with a doozy of a relevation about Shaw. What if Shaw is actually Bryce Larkin with cosmetic surgery? It does make sense with everything they have talked about with Shaw and Sarah and the fact as Chuck’s new boss he gets to watch over Chuck due to the new sector. The question then becomes who side does he work for? The Ring or CIA?

I’m so excited! I loved Bakula playing Chuck’s dad, I was worried that he wouldn’t make a return due to being on Men of A Certain Age like Bomer having scheduling conflicts due to being on White Collar which is a great show, I’m having the stars align and he returns as well, but at least we’ve got Scott Bakula returning to the show!
As for Chuck’s Mom I kinda want her to be a bad person. Not Fulcrum bad but just a bad person. She leaves the kids with their Dad, never calling them back. I can understand her leaving Steven due to being consumed with his work but to leave the kids and remove all contact from their lives is bitchy. Steven Bartowski left his family to protect them what was hers?
