  1. This must be where Awesome tackles Shaw.

Sounds like a great episode. I’m looking forward to it. I wonder if its Chuck’s idea for Morgan, Casey, and Awesome to team up and help him get Sarah back or somebody else’s. I bet Morgan is behind it all.

  2. Looks like it’s gonna be awesome episode !
    GO CHUCK .
Hope he wins her back (:

  3. It’ll be funny to see Casey try and get them together. This also could be the episode where Chuck asks Sarah if she loves him.

    • If it is the episode where Chuck asks Sarah I pray that the answer is not “its complicated” I would toss my remote at Josh Schwartz.

  4. Wow this episode seems like it is going to be so good! I think I’m most excited about seeing how Casey participates in Chuck’s attempt to get Sarah back. Should be pretty funny.

  5. Casey is starting to show grudging respect for Chuck’s spy abilities, so it’s only fitting that he should do a 180 on what he once derided as the most “annoying romance” he’d ever had to endure.

  6. i kinda do not like the feeling about this =/ I feel like its going to end up really bad for Chuck. I guess we’ll see

  7. I think that all the other guys try to help Chuck get Sarah back but they only make things worse. Sarah will be kinda mad and then Chuck asks Sarah “do you love me?” from the promo. What I really want to see though is the bond with Sarah and Ellie growing stronger. Ellie finds out what the boys are up to and Sarah seeks comfort from her when things go wrong.

  8. The way it’s phrased makes it sound like Awesome, Morgan and (?) Casey decide to team-up to get Sarah back for Chuck?

Ha, although i could see Casey wanting Chuck and Sarah to get back together so the intersect will work properly…not because he believes in love and all that mushy stuff. 🙂

  9. Casey will help Chuck cause he may find the Sarah/Shaw romance even more annoying.

    • Lord knows I have.

    • You stole the words right out of my mouth. (That, and I think Casey’s starting to respect him a little more, so he has plenty of reasons to help Chuck out in this situation.)

    • I’ll agree with nick and before casey became a civilian he has a lot of respect for Chuck more than people think he be more than happy to help him win Sarah back.

I really like it start it off with Morgan, then Devon, and Casey bring up the rear becuse he is a civilian now which means he can give Sarah a piece of his mind on the way she has not been supportive and a friend to Chuck since he wanted to become a spy. Casey needs to tell her that Chuck did eveything he ask you to do for the past 2 years and now when he needs you the most you’re going to bail out on him for some James Bond wanna-be super spy like Shaw who was planning to blow up castle with Chuck in there.

That Shaw is a manipulating pyschopath who hits on emotional women when they are down.

He needs to tell her the realities of life. Get Eliie involved too.
Sarah has fail to realize that Chuck lost his innocence years ago before she met him. his qualities and characteristics like he is perfect person nobody is perfect Sarah views of Chuck like some kind of fantasy than realitly when she first met him.

  10. SOUNDS SO EPICCCCCCCC.

  11. i really wonder who the girl is. I dont think it is ellie

  12. Prediction? Not gonna work this episode, simply because 13 episodes were originally ordered and I think this kind of reunion won’t happen until 3.13. Still looking forward to it!!

  13. I’m so happy right now that Chuck’s BFF knows his a spy. I can feel the bromance right know.

  14. In season 1,2,& part of 3, is always Chuck trying to get Sarah. Its about time the action should be the other way round ie. Sarah trying to get Chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Well said but you know its never gonna happen. Remember chuck is the puppy that keeps coming back after getting kicked =) The last episode was the best yet because it had no love triangles and angst… MAYBE THEY SHOULD TAKE A HINT… Just my thoughts T_T

  15. Hurrah for the three Musketeers for the good ship Charah.:D I think Adam, Ryan, and Joshua are going to have a ball working together and bringing the most laughs of the episode I’ll bet. Can’t wait.

  16. great!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. sounds awesome just from the team up 😛
morgan’s comedy, casey’s seriousness/grunts, awesome’s….awesomeness? lol and good old chuck
    season 3 has been great

  18. Am i the only one that thinks sarah told a fake name or something? Cause the epidsode is called the fake name lol. I mean this would mean that she thinks shaws up to no good, and i really dont agree with that theory at all.

    • Ali Adler said on Twitter that Sam is her real name. I think the fake name here is John Casey. That’s why Chuck flashed on Alex Coburn. When Chuck asked Casey about Alex Coburn, Casey got very angry and defensive and told Chuck to mind his own business about it.

      • ‘Fake Name’ would also mean the assassin that Chuck was pretending to be.

      • The Assassin’s name was real. It just wasn’t Chuck’s. Sam could very well have been the fake name. Ali Adler had Sarah revealling her name to Shaw, not necessarily the one that ultimately turns out to be true. How could Chuck ever look at her and call her “Sam” after the traumatic way it went down for him? For Chuck to be able to tell her he loves her by her real name, it would have to be something other. I can’t believe she would tell Shaw her real name after knowing him for less than 2 months, and not tell Chuck who she’d known nearly 3 years. She used this as a means to pacify Shaw, who was getting leery of her obvious moping in front of the closed circuit feeds of Chuck having dinner with Hannah, Devon & Ellie. The minute Shaw asks her if she’s OK with Chuck & Hannah, she goes all intimate on him and drops a “name”. She’s playing him and does not need to arouse his suspicion or things could get dangerous.

      • Ali Adler confirmed that Sam was Sarah’s real name. It was actually Yvonne who picked it herself.

      • I believe Sarah used her real name”Sam” to pacify Shaw. But she did not mean for Chuck to find out that way and Sarah regrets that mistake.

      • yes because Casey don’t want to talk about the past is very angry he need to let his family and he is right he chose the right decision

      • I wouldn’t say very angry just defensive is more likely.

  19. I think it’s highly likely that there will be no Chuck and Sarah as a couple at all… it might just be all a ploy by Josh Schwartz trying to boost ratings while the opposite might happen at this point.
He already destroyed both Chuck and Sarah characters with the awful 3.07 and 3.08 episodes up to the point that the only way to continue with the show would be to get rid of Sarah and hope that viewers will just accept another possible season with just Chuck, Casey and some new female agent.

    • I really think your being too critical of the show, if they keep doing the same thing again and again with the characters it will be boring. Loads of people keep saying the writers are screwing everything up…. so what if sarah and chuck are not together yet? They might be later.
Also – yea forgot about the alex colburn thing.

Personally i think season 3 has been amazing. I hope they renew chuck for a 4th season. But I think they should keep the same characters, bring new ones in, but dont take old ones out. Specially not Sarah or Casey.

      • well he is right because no one can be like them a great team Chuck always funny and dummy, colonel John Casey always mad but very right at all he says and Shara Walker she is great but a little sensible for Chuck so what to say a great team and no one no one are like them

    • The show writers may enjoy injecting a little angst into the plot, but your suggestion is show suicide. They know they’ve milked the WTWT angle for all it’s worth. If they do as you say, they might as well not try for a S4.

      • I’ll agree with you VIPERFX and ARMYNURSEBOY.The writers and producers of the show knew what they were doing before season 3 got started. They knew season 3 was the begining of a journey for Chuck and Sarah that leads them to their destination and the journey will not be easy for them.Sometimes you progressed and sometimes you regressed as well but thats relationships is all about and the road is not always smooth.

In the case of Chuck and Sarah, in the spy world they must evolve emotionaly and professionaly to be partners and as equals before they even think about the romantic part of the relationship.

Zachary said it best! without Sarah(yvonne) and Casey(adam) there is no show.

What you have is chojin9996 voices his opinion, he just angry about the direction of the the show and the characters of the show. If he had it his way Chuck and Sarah will be married by the end of season 2

But we are not going to let one person view ruin the show for everyone else.

      • If you really think that it’s just me seeing how bad the show has been trashed thanks to Josh Schwartz will to turn it into a soap.. then you are absolutely wrong.
The characters of Chuck and Sarah don’t make any damned sense anymore. After episode 3.06 aired it’s like watching another show.. the characters aren’t themselves anymore, there is no masterplan .. the character of Hannah has been so useless that served only a pathetic soap purpose… Chuck having sex with her… and even more.. a rich girl like Hannah going to work at BuyMore for a nerd like Chuck met on a plane.. it didn’t make any damned sense.. if she was a spy and was working with Shaw and so on it would have been good writing.. the way they wrote it it’s just a very very bad work, the worst possible writing for the show.
And then the character of Sarah.. all of a sudden from episode 3.07 she can’t fight anymore, she became so weak all of a sudden.. and she gets in a relationship with Shaw that until episode 3.06 she clearly disliked..
What the heck is this? This is not Chuck anymore!
Where is the show Chuck ?
Shame on Josh Schwartz, he doesn’t know what to do with shows other than forcing a sudden destruction of characters and plot.

      • You are entitled to your opinion about the show. You are entitled to like or dislike as you please. Just don’t be surprised if there are some folks who disagree with you.

    • Zac Levi said it best: without Sarah and Casey, there is no show. For me she is the standout performer in the show. As an actress, Strahovski is a gem. The chemistry between her and Levi is unique, and not easily re-created. Just look to the Strahovski-Routh pairing as evidence.

      • I totally agree that without Sarah and Casey, there is no show. I can’t wait to see that sparkling chemistry between Chuck (Zac) and Sarah (Yvonne)be revived again. I have not seen too many TV couples with that kind of chemistry.
This episode looks as though it has the makings for some great comedy with Morgan, Casey and Awesome trying to work together. HAHAHAHA Can hardly wait.

      • I totally agree with you Doctor Bob. For me, it is ludicrous to even imagine the show without Chuck, Sarah, and Casey. I read some of the other comments on this site that indicated the writers’ interpretations of what they heard about the finale and its involvement with a major death. They were thinking that it might involve either Sarah or Casey. Let me just say, the show “Chuck” is the show “Chuck” because of Chuck, Sarah and Casey. Take away one of them and you kill the show. I ask you, would Zachary Levi acting by himself be enough to draw the number of fans the show has now? The answer is emphatically no!

      • I beleive it is Orion that my best guess.

      • Rumor has it that jill Roberts will be back on the final ep. of season 3,maybe she is the major death.

  20. YEAH SUPER TEAM SMACKDOWN ON SHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. I suppose it will be really funny with the three running around trying to be cupids. It’s just… I wish Sarah wouild appear to be more pro-active in her own reconnection with Chuck. Sarah has always seemed very passive in regards to their relationship. Even trying to run away with him is, in many ways, passive. She has never once ‘fought’ for her man. I would love to see her look at the way Chuck is attempting to heal and find himself. And then re-evaluate for herself the relationship she has with Shaw. That he’s just a rebound, a fall back to old habits of falling for the James Bond wanna-bee’s she’s partnered with. Something she warned herself against(in a fore-shadowing), before hooking up with Shaw. Frankly I want Sarah to believe in herself and Chuck enough to take a chance. That is what would make me cheer rather then just be happy that they’ve reconnected.

    • Don’t read too much into the synopsis, they love to play with words to confuse us. We have no idea how C/S will get together, for all we know it can be Sarah that goes after Chuck 🙂

    • I totally agree with you 100% evilredknight Sarah is too passive when it comes relationships, Especially when it comes to Chuck. Sarah revesrts back to old habits of falling for the Jmaes Bond wanna-bees she has partnered with. season 1 Bryce Larkin, season 2 Cole Barker and now Daniel Shaw.

Thats what I called a Superficial Relationships meaning its showing affections on the surface but it is not real emotional love. Something Sarah warned herself against doing unless she was ordered by Gen. Beckman to do to keep and eye on Shaw.

  22. does anyone know how long brandon is supposed to be on the show for now?

  23. I really think Shaw is a needed character in chuck, i mean as a guest star i think he was awesome. So wht if he is in some weird spy relationship with sarah…. Its not like they hug and kiss every episode is it?
You guys seem to bite at every guy sarah or chuck even looks at apart from each other. A character like shaw was a good choice for the show to keep it interesting, and to make him all this mysterious guy who knows all about the ring (still not buying the double agent idea – i think hes legit).

Im thinking that chuck will ask sarah that question when he is on that special mission (ep 12?), not sure if shaw is killed off but I really think hes added more to the show than u give him credit for.

Ofcourse i want sarah and chuck to be together…… its like the main part of the show, but seriously like many of you have said if they do it now it would so pointless the spy element of the show would need to be toned down somehow, and i really think that would degrade the show.

yet again im thinking way too much into this….. dam you guys!

    • Various sources say that the DYLM question is not until the back 6 eps and not what it appears to be. Keep in mind however, that that does not mean Chuck and Sarah are not a couple by then.

  24. we all know Chuck will win Sarah back…
that’s just how the story is and should be…
the thing is the producers do a great job with will they, won’t they thing
i guess we all agree that the constant setbacks between Sarah and Chuck are one of the reasons we keep watching the show…and they know it
anyways i hope they don’t get together again too soon…that would just spoil it

  25. The reason why I don’t like shaw is the way he provokes chuck into using the intersect, remember that chuck only wants to have it in the first place was to be with sarah and to prove to sarah he is worth something, because he doesn’t believe in his ability in the beginning and he always think that sarah deserves a guy that can save her, not the other way around.

    • And shaw has this habit of giving the authority like he is God, and doesn’t think much about the team play. I believe shaw would just be a nuisance to the whole story having to add another character that doesn’t have any bearing with chuck and his family, because that is what the story is all about, chuck his love for sarah and his family.

  26. I’m guessing that after Chuck vs. The Tic Tac that Casey will have more than grudging respect for Chuck. Chuck has saved Casey’s life more than once and this time will show Casey that for all of his idiosyncrasies Chuck is as loyal a friend and team member as they come. Loyalty is huge with Casey and, along with Shaw’s blunders, it will likely set the stage for Casey’s efforts to get Chuck and Sarah (and their team) back together.

As for Sarah’s questionable choices with regard to men we have to remember her own damaged relationship with her father. Despite Chuck’s heart to heart talk with her about the sins of her father not being her sins, Sarah still has some relational healing that needs to take place. She has been more used to running from her emotional issues with men than dealing directly with them. Shaw’s near termination of Chuck and Morgan in the Castle is one thing that will hopefully help her to see that Chuck is worth fighting for.

  27. I am a big fan of “Chuck”. I understand the basic story “arc” for season 3 and the reason for bringing in the characters of Hannah and Shaw. However, I have found that these characters detract from the entertainment value of the show. This is especially true of the character of Shaw which was badly cast, in my view. I have found the writing for this character to be clumsy and mostly annoying, and I will be happy when Shaw departs from the show. Hopefully, we can then return to missions with Chuck, Sarah and Casey primarily. These are the characters (and actors who play them) that have great chemistry and make the show entertaining (together with the Ellie, Devon and the BuyMorons).

    • See i agree with that. I do think shaw character is a bit too serious, i know hes mean to be all special agent and stuff and his wife died and hes seeking revenge on the ring bla bla bla. But this constant bashing of new characters and how they repel chuck and sarah is just BS.

I do miss the tri though, it used to be so funny when it was just chuck, sarah and casey. “CHUCK STAY IN THE CAR”…… “The Cars never safe!”

But i think the show has evolved for the better, and i really hope they have the script ready to continue with season 4, and they not planning to just tie loose ends with the characters and just end chuck.

      • I totally agree, Shaw was never part of the help regarding keeping the intersect in stable emotion, he in fact was the one who is messing things up with sarah who is the stabilizer…

  28. Shaw is a heap of trouble, and not just from a PLI standpoint. He has undermined the team’s unit cohesion. He criticised Sarah & Casey’s method of training Chuck as too coddling. He accused Sarah of being a ring agent. He took over command of the unit from Casey and did it with needless brusqueness. He sent Chuck into situations for which he was ill-prepared, arousing the objections of Sarah and Casey. He hit on Sarah in full view of Chuck, and drew her into his orbit. When you are the commander of a unit, these are unpardonable actions. Eroding unit cohesion weakens the unit. He’s a termite and he’s bad news.

    • a) They WERE too coddling
      b) He didn’t accuse, he asked.
      c) Casey was never in command.
      d) Perhaps
      e) So?

    • A 100% right Dr.BOB! Shaw being a special agent and a mentor to Chuck is a joke. He’s also unprofessional. As a special agent there is rules and regulations that he must go by as it retains to spy/spy relationship.

If Shaw is any type of man,a mentor, and a friend to Chuck he would never hit on Sarah no matter if she is still in love with Chuck or not especially in front of Chuck. That creates conflict within the team and in the work place.

And if Sarah does the samething to Shaw, he should put Sarah in her place.

That’s what I’m saying Shaw is a viper. There more going on here than we know and no matter what she thinks Sarah is not safe around him.Shaw bosses her around.

In THE FINAL EXAM when Shaw told Sarah that Chuck has to kill perry she said Chuck is not going to do it and I’m not going to ask him to do it.
Shaw repplied yes you will because he’s listens to you Sarah if you ask Chuck to kill perry he’ll do it.Sarah did even know that killing perry is part of Chucks Red Test.

Shaw did not tell her this earlier because he knew that she wouldn’t do it. Now you can’t tell me that he’s not using Sarah to control Chuck and he’s manipulating her as well to mske her feel miserable just like Shaw and to make Chuck into cold blooded killer just like him to make sure that Sarah don’t love Chuck any more.I beginning to wonder if Gen.Beckman knows about Chuck’s Red Test coming this soon.

Sarah Red Test came years later after in been with the CIA,even Casey were suprised when Chuck told him about it.

Now!That’s a man that She thinking about having relationship with professional or not.No wonder Sarah is so miserable metally and emotionally
and she feels and thinks that she is responsible for Chuck’s destruction and Shaw is taking full advantange of no matter of the cost to Chuck or Sarah as part of his revenge against the Ring.

When you start to think and/or feel unworthy, not to be loved by anyone and to top it all off don’t love yourself first, you will let anybody mis-treat
      bad if you let them.

Chuck’s new mission is to save Sarah Walker from Shaw.

  29. I love it how Chuck has his own private army: Casey, Morgan and Awesome. And, of course, they’re probably not going to tell him what they’re up to. Morgan’s going to help (or possibly even plan?) the event because of the bromance between himself and Chuck and his excitment toward going on a ‘mission’. Awesome’s going to enlist because he probably feels bad for ditching Chuck when he needed someone to lean on. And Casey’s going to have a hand in it because, as stated previously in the post, he’s gained a bit of respect for Chuck and because the ‘romance’ going on between Shaw and Sarah is probably starting to annoy the heck out of him.

I love this show. Hope it goes down well for Chuck in the end.

  30. Do the writers and producers read this? i for one want more Chuck/Sara missions together. Sara needs to see Chuck as a love interest and true partner. When Chuck asks if you love me I think she will say no, and turn around with tears streaming down her face. The back 6 episodes w/o Shaw will be better. I want to see Chuck/Sara take up their old cover as a couple. If I was a writer I would put them into closer situations where they need to have a romantic ccover leadiing to a true romantic situation. He could be her new Bryce Larkin her spy lover. Any take on an under cover romance for Chuck/Sara?

    • This lead up to episode 13 is killing me! These next episodes are incredible so far. I just finished watching 3:10 and I was blown away. I think when everything finally comes to a head, it’s gonna be more than we could ever want and I personally cannot wait anymore! These weeks cannot go any faster!

      • Agreed. I’m a Chuck junkie. And just for the record I am rooting for the Chuck and Sarah couple to get together sooner than later. I just hate the wait.

  31. Judging from next week’s promo and this synopsis here, I’m going to assume Chuck does pass the test though Sarah goes to D.C. to be with Shaw… =/

why couldn’t next monday be back to back new episodes…

    • Don’t jump to conclusions. There are many reasons why Sarah is in DC. Shaw is merely one of them.

    • No way Sarah goes with Shaw. In my opinion if the Chuck & Sarah couple don’t materialize this season the show, in my eyes, becomes more and more painful to watch. I will not kid anyone and say I will stop watching it but it will definitely fall on my lists of priorities for Monday’s at 8pm.

      • If you have any understanding of dramatic story telling and pacing you will know that Chuck and Sarah will be together by the end of the arc (3.13). There have been too many hints, too many references, etc (particularly in the latest episodes) point to this. It’s practically a foregone conclusion. The interesting part is not them getting together, but HOW they get there. Have patience…it’s a virtue for a reason.

      • armynurseboy Sarah has kept her word in the fact she has kept it professional with Shaw and he starts to make them cheesy advances toward her. she will end it with Shaw in 3-11.That’s when we Shaw goes off the deep end around 3-12 or 3-13. when Chuck questions Shaw’s stability.

      • I was wrong about Sarah dumping Shaw in ep.11 it will be ep.12.

  32. i’m thinking this is the episode where Sarah dumps Shaw..

  33. Ya, it’s clear Sarah does end up going to Washington at the end of 3.11 for a new assignment. By the way, does anyone think the fact that Shaw was in Washington has nothing to do with Beckmen changing her mind about Sarah’s request for transfer? Ya, me neither.
If you read the synopsis it says that Chuck ‘chooses’ Sarah to partner with for a an important mission.
If she was still in town, and part of the team, I doubt he would have to ‘choose’ her. She’d already be there to take part.
It’s when she returns for that mission that he makes one last attempt to win her back.

I really do have to say I’m getting fed up with this extended Chuck and Sarah seperation. F&S told us to trust them, to appreciate the journey.
Unfortunatly the route they chose had bad weather, BIG pot holes, and at least one flat tire. When we get to the end of this, we won’t be saying, “what a beautiful place we’re at now.” We’ll just be saying, “thank beeping God, that beeping trip is over.” No matter if Chuck & Sarah reconnect, I think they made some serious mistakes keeping them apart for every episode of what would have been the whole season, but for one, maybe one and a half episodes. The pay off means little if there was no joy getting there. They are very lucky they picked up a back six, so they can at least try to take a bad taste from more then a few of the shows fans mouths.
I would NOT have watched year 4, if all I got this season was ONE episode of real Charah.

  34. I have to laugh because people are getting tired of the will they won’t they thing ALREADY and its only half way through season three…”Friends” waited 2 and half seasons to put Ross and Rachel together only to tear them apart for 7 SEASONS bringing them closer and then pushing them back apart. Sexual Tension in a TV Series is what keeps people watching! If they do bring them together they will split them apart just as fast to keep that tension going! Every popular show has that tension! This is no different and I applaud Josh for ripping apart the fabric of the team, because when they get back together the bond will be that much stronger and the show will be that much better.

I think for this show to evolve one thing needs to happen…Chuck will ask Sarah if she loves him and she will say no and turn away. But instead of just accepting it (like he has a million times in the past) he spins her around and says prove it and then kisses her.

Chuck has developed a lot more confidence as a spy now he needs to develop more confidence with Sarah!

SIDENOTE: Does anyone besides me thinks its ironic that Intersect 2.0 includes kung fu, medical knowledge and cooking techniques but they could not include the Power of Seduction? I just think it would be cool that Chuck flashes and he then has the power to seduce Sarah 🙂 That would be great writing 😉

  35. Erock has hit it SPOT ON in my books.
And I thought your second paragraph as soon as I saw the trailer!

Chuck and Sarah’s feelings contradict eachother, but thats a great dynamite to the core of the show. They clearly both have strong feelings for eachother, but have handled it in different ways because they had to i.e. Chuck explains to Sarah via Carina’s video that he gave her up in Prague to become the world’s-best-spy-in-the-making because she taught him everything he knows in the spy world and he loves her for it. Whereas Sarah has feelings for Chuck but CAN’T act on them, due to her being his handler and it would be unprofessional. She gave in at Prague and was ready to let go of her career to be with him, only for him to let her go, for what he thought were the right reasons.

Yeah I admit, sometimes it is frustrating watching them not being able to be together, BUT let’s be honest, we know they HAVE to be at some point. It just HAS to happen! But until then, it shouldn’t be frustating enough to start criticising.

    • Right on Donovan! Sarah’s dad is playing a big part of her emotional issues when is comes to men because her dad been in and out of her life for years
as a child growing up. Now she is having them same emotional issues growing up.

When things get tough on Sarah emotionaly, she wants to runaway from the problem instead of dealing with it, and most times when you are running away like that you usually are running away from yourself.

    • Your right Intersect107! we know C/S will be together even to work their problems with Prague and the real name issue. to start trusting each other and working together as a team emotionaly and professionaly the romance will come later.

So hang on in there everything has a reason, let season 3 play it self out and everybody will be happy.

  36. *great dynamic, rather.

  37. And I cannot wait for next week’s ep! Looks so good.

  38. Episode 12 may enhance Chuck’s chances with Sarah but episode 13 talks about Chuck and the other guy–if this were the end of the season I would say let it go and forget about a season 4–the separation as well as Routh’s presence have been too long. I do not think Routh was well cast as Shaw–he reminds me of someone that went to jail and was the most popular guy on the cell block. Sarah needs to get rid of him- I still do not think Sarah and Chuck getting together has to be terminal for the series–they can pursue evil doers together as a committed couple. A lot of my friends have taken Chuck off their have to see list–angst has gone to boredom, to total apathy–Thanks F&S! A lot of the high dollar guests were a waste of money and sacrificing appearances of the regulars for budget has taken away a lot more than the guests have added. S3 has not been very good at all for me (my own opinion) they have yet to earn an S4. I think the return of Chuck’s Dad will add something extra—The Honeymooon Train-EP.14 sounds promising. Come on F&S SAVE CHUCK–FINISH OFF S3 WITH A BANG AND GIVE US A GOOD SEASON 4.

  39. The upcoming episodes sound very interesting but I hope it’s not too little,
too late. A good portion of the show’s basline of support may be gone by then
who won’t watch or see these episodes in time to make a difference for a 4th
season renewal. As Ive stated before I don’t think a major effort to save the
show will happen again if the ratings continue to tank.

Hopefully I’m wrong and things will pick up enough to get a 4th season renewal
and JS/CF will not make the same mistakes as they have in Season 3 going forward. We’ll have to wait and see…..

    • Robert H. I don’t think that JS/CF made any mistakes in regard to season 3 and if they did it was having Brandon Roth on the show a little to long as special guest star as Chuck’s mentor and a rival for Sarah’s affections along with Hannash for Chuck’s affections.Sarah should have been his mentor,But I guess they had to do that way to push Chuck and Sarah from a asset/handler relationship to a spy/spy relationship as partners/equals which is big difference because Chuck has to reach up to Sarah’s lever in the spy world and keep the good qualitities and characteristics that cause Sarah fall in love with him in the first place.

I think JS/CF took a big risk on the PLI,S this season and beleive it or not it worked, why? Because no matter how much we get mad about the PLI,S angst they know well watch it becuase it’s drama and we love drama.

Besides I think JS/CF have already said this is the last time for the PLI.S
      after season 3.

We all know that C&S will be together soon not only as professionals but as life partners as well.

  40. i hope this coming episode will bring good news to their relationship.

in my opinion, it’s just so ‘uncool’ for Chuck working as a spy without Sarah on his side.

  41. I’m sorry but I’m really tired of all the people who keep saying, “T want Chuck & Sarah to be together, I don’t know what’s taking the writers so long, I’m a big whiny baby, wa wa wa wa…”.

It’s a TV show people. I’m sure the writers know that we the fans want the proverbial happy ending for Chuck and Sarah. Yes people, you read correctly happy ENDING. I mean seriously, where else will they go with the show once all major characters are happy and content? I can’t see the show going far once that happens, and I for one am not ready to see CHUCK end. Not yet and not soon I hope.

So please, just sit back on your couch/chair/bed/hammock and watch your TV/computer/HAM radio and enjoy the show for what it is and have faith that the writers and creators know when the right moment is for Chuck and Sarah to be together and happy.

  42. heyy
Does anyone else think that since Bryce (and we don’t know too much about what their relationship was REALLY like) that Sarah has been attracted to guys that she knows nothing can ever really happen with… Barker for example. Sarah must of known that when it came down to it Cole would pick his job over her or that he would get sent somewhere that Sarah couldn’t follow him..
As for Shaw i don’t think anyone really knows what is going on, but we haven’t seen Sarah looking at Shaw the way she looks at Chuck. Honestly, I think that after Sarah saw the tape that showed Chuck proclaiming his love for her she started to pull away from him..

    Over analysing?? NEVER 😀

  43. The shippers don’t ncessarily want to see Chuck/Sarah together. They want to
see that going forward as they work out their problems without seasons 1 and
2 hanging over them as being divided by asset vs handler thing without a lot
of outside influences. Season 3 so far has not gone that way and that’s why
a lot of people are frusrtated considering the effort that was put in to save the show last year.

    • I’ll agree with you Robert! most of the shippers do not necessarilly want to see c/s together they want to see them work out their problems. And it going to be them outside forces that is going to bring them together more stronger for them to work out their problems. It’s takes time,so be patient everything has a reason just let story play itself out.

  44. Interesting points across the board. 🙂

    My perspective:

I’m a relatively NEW Chuck fan/watcher. That means I’m also a virgin when it comes to some of the show’s built-in-acronyms, like, for example, WTWT, which I’m guessing means will-they-won’t they (get together).

I have been aware of Chuck on my radar for the past couple of years but just didn’t have time to check it out until about 6 weeks ago, when I downloaded a couple of episodes from Series 1 to watch purely just out of interest, to see if it was worth getting into.

It only took me about 3 or 4 episodes to hook me COMPLETELY, and I ran out and bought BOTH Series 1 and 2 DVD sets in short order.

And yes, some pretty late nights catching up watching! But lots of fun.

I’ve also had to do some hard-core catching up to get to where we are now with Season 3 and Chuck vs. The Tic-Tac, plus I’ve been reading a bunch of the forums for the past few weeks to stoke my new interest.

Here’s my take on things so far:

I think Season 3 is pretty good. Fedak and Schwartz have their work cut out for them as they struggle (my words) to keep Buy-More as a relatively relevant universe as Chuck’s spy involvement increases.

Remember, they had all but written it out by the end of Season 2.

Sarah’s choices make sense, for HER. She can only see a relationship with Chuck when her asset-handler relationship terminates, which is why she tried to go off the grid in Prague. It’s one way or the other. Both being a spy/handler and involved at the same time does not compute for her.

Chuck’s choices make sense, for HIM. He knows better that there is no such thing as going off the grid, particularly now that he has a MORE powerful Intersect 2.0 inside of his head, and so it only just makes sense that he plays along with Beckman and the support of the CIA and NSA for now.

Also, he instinctively knows that in order to win Sarah, he has to be involved with her spy-life, and let’s face it, he’d do pretty much anything for her no matter what the cost.

By the time Chuck straps on the Orion wrist-computer at the end of Season 2, it’s pretty much a cinch that he is in like Flynn on that one. 😉

These two are both drawn to each other, in every way, and deep-down, they both know it. They have just not let that idea out for air yet.

It may take several outsiders (Morgan, Awesome *and* Casey, perhaps) to help one, if not both of Chuck/Sarah see it in a way that makes sense to them in some sort of parallel manner.

It’s gonna be hard for Sarah to duck out of this one, though.

No matter how far she runs away from it, Carina’s reveal of Chuck’s feelings has hit her like a ton of bricks, even as I suspect Sarah has been struggling to sort it all out in some sort of slower, more accessible way that makes sense for her internally.

Anyone who does not see that struggle play out on Ms. Strahovski’s face needs to go back and watch Season 3’s episodes a bit more closely.

I have a whole boatload of thoughts about Shaw. Certainly he is a loose cannon for sure, but, the big question is, IS he a double-agent? Is he a plant for the Ring, or is he a potential rogue agent with his own agenda?

My guess is that Shaw knows far too much about the Ring for Beckman to ignore, and so she has unofficially made Shaw Chuck’s latest pet project to sort out the wheat from the chaff, as Chuck sorted out Fulcrum in Season 2.

Chuck is about dualities, and twists and turns. I have to admit I find it surprising that Ellie and Chuck’s relationship has taken numerous hits this season.

Is that simply because Ellie is now married and living with Devon, or that she still feels that Chuck is a bit trapped in his Morgan-influenced world?

Probably a bit of both, I guess.

Chuck is a fantastic show. Everyone should appreciate the wonderful things it puts out there every week. It is far from boring, dull, or predictable.

    -marcus101

    • Marcus101 good perspective! If Chuck fails the red test to become a spy what kind of normal life Sarah was talking about telling him there is nothing wrong with having a normal life, yes it is!

First of all,a life at the buymore is not going to protect his friends and family from the Ring.

Second, what type of normal life Chuck can have with the 2.0 Intersect in his head?Return as the asset for the Government? Will Sarah still be his handler? Will he be sent underground? What is the chances of her staying with Chuck if he did had a normal life.

Third, there is a very good chance that orders to have Chuck ssasinated by the highest levels of the government and carried out by the CIA/NSA on the grounds of National Sercurity. From there perspective they can’t afford to have Chuck with the Intersect 2.0 ih his head and all of their secrets running around loose in Burbank fearing one day he’ll be captured by the Ring.Sarah knows this and Casey knows this as well. That’s way Casey kill the mark to save Chuck’s life.

Remember “THE FIRST DATE” Gen.Beckman gave Casey an order to kill Chuck for that same reason when Chuck had the 1.0 Intersect in his head.

So Chuck case he had to became a spy to be with Sarah. It was damned if you do and damned if you don,t senario.

  45. have the bestest feeling this will be one of the best episodes… 🙂 cant waaaaaait!!!

  46. Guys and Girls! I just watched ep.11 great episode. Shaw gave an order to Sarah to tell Chuck to kill the mark but Chuck did not do it,it was Casey who fired the kill shot that kill the mark but Sarah does not know it.

All she saw was a dead body laying there and chuck standing over him with the gun in his hand. Sarah assumes that Chuck pull the trigger.

Casey told Chuck that nobody can’t find out about this not even Sarah. Chuck ask Casey why did you do it? Casey repplied!I know you’re not a killer Chuck.

Episodes 12 and 13 is going to be epic/fantastic at the same time.

It’s ep.12 that Morgan, Devon, and Casey help win Sarah back for Chuck maybe by telling Sarah that he’s the one that pull the trigger killing the mark not Chuck and she can’t tell Shaw or Gen.Beckman about it.

  47. The actual synopsis for next episode found it on NBC.com

    “Chuck vs. the American Hero”
Chuck uses an undercover solo assignment to try to steal Sarah’s heart back from Shaw. Brandon Routh guest stars. (TV-PG)

  48. In ep.11 Sarah thinks Chuck kills Perry, she is upset and hurt and when Shaw ask her do still love Chuck?Sarah’s quick response to Shaw is no. Whch means a few things.

first She is lying to her self because she said too quickly.

Second- as handler/asset relationship Sarah does not love Chuck anymore. But Sarah did not say she didn’t love him as a Spy.

Chuck will do something really heroic in this episode to prove to Sarah that he can be a spy partner for her and still has the good characteristics and qualities that made her fell in love with him to begin with and her life partner as well.

At the end Sarah will choose Chuck over Shaw because her heart won’t lie when it comes to emotional love and Chuck will give her something that she wants, a dual life.Meaning a spy life/normal life with family and freinds. That one thing that Shaw can’t and won’t give her.

    • You might be wrong Bernard. Watch this and commnet : http://www.wikio.co.uk/video/2982922. One more, I was told Shaw present will be extended beyond 3.13 and will have serious relationship with sarah.

      • well from the promo it looks like episode 12’s gonna kick it up a notch…
        can’t wait to see it…

      • Bond!don’t get side track by the promo of ep.12.Remember in ep.11 “THE FINAL EXAM”When most everybody thought Chuck was going to pull the trigger killing perry but it was Casey who pull the trigger killing Perry.

who told you that Shaw presence is going to be extended beyond 3-13

  49. Fans of Chuck I’ve just read an article written by Joe called ” SAVING AGENT WALKER” very good article on the emotional and mental state of Sarah Walker.
    It’s on the chuckthis website.

she’s fighting for her very exsistance right now.

    please send me your response.

  50. How can one be referred to as a “Guest Star” when he’s been in almost every episode, geez. Nothing against Brandon Routh, but enough already! In case JS and CF have failed to look at the calendar — it’s 2010. Put Chuck/Sarah back together (angst or no angst) and put the action back into the show with a hint of romance. Good grief! It’s television entertainment. That’s why the fans watch it, or least use too. C/S have the chemistry, not S/S.
