NBC has released the official synopsis for Chuck episode 3.13, “Chuck vs. the Other Guy”:
CHUCK QUESTIONS SHAW’S EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING – BRANDON ROUTH (“SUPERMAN RETURNS”) GUEST STARS – Chuck (Zachary Levi), Sarah (Yvonne Strahvoski) and Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) reunite to find the Ring operative behind the death of Shaw’s wife. Sarah has faith that Shaw is ready for the mission but Chuck is worried about his emotional stability. Meanwhile, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) considers leaving the Buy More. Adam Baldwin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay and Mark Christopher Lawrence also star.
They “reunite”? There’s a question about Shaw being “ready” for the mission? Intriguing. This episode airs Monday, April 5, at 8/7c on NBC.

Maybe this is why Shaw was pushing Chuck so hard to be a spy: so he could gain a weapon to exact vengeance for his wife’s death, as opposed to developing Chuck as a spy. I thought that was where it was headed after Operation Awesome and First Class, but then he has seemed genuinely interested in Sarah and I talked myself out of it; now this spoiler brings me back to that notion. Anyway, I cannot wait. It will be great!

I’ll agree! that’s been Shaw’s plan from the very begginging when he took over Team B to train Chuck as a spy and use him to kill off the Ring for revenge for his wife and In the process he uses Sarah to train Chuck for this type of mission.think Sarah will that found out in ep.12.
This kind of a suicide mission will put Chuck and Sarah in extreme danger which will bring them closer together.

I’m commenting from my last reply below about Shaw using Chuck through Sarah to to plan out his revenge against the Ring for killing his wife. Do you all remember toward the end of the episode “THE THREE WORDS” when Shaw was in Gen.Beckman office and begged Shaw don’t do it,they need to know,and it’s too dangerous.
That’s been Shaw’s plan from the beggining he went to Gen.Beckman told her that he was going to take Team B to plot his revnge against the Ring. Shaw might die a doomed hero.
Do not be surprised when Chuck ask Sarah do you love me want take place on episode 13 but in episode 19 just a thought.

I’m beginning to wonder if Chuck and Shaw, Bryce and Shaw, or most likely Sarah and Eve are related. We keep hearing about a twist and how Shaw has or will have a long term connection to Sarah and maybe Chuck (can’t recall which one for sure). Or, I’ve also wondered if Shaw isn’t using Sarah as bait for the ring. They killed his wife; why noy kill his girlfriend too? Maybe it’s that irrational conduct that has Chuck concerned.

Wow I never actually thought Shaw would be suffering emotionally, but then again I don’t have the smarts to dig as deep as most of you guys do and you all thought it might be this way. Congrats guys good sleuth work there.
I noticed no mention of Casey so I assume he’s hasn’t been reinstated as of the moment. I hope he does by this episodes end:? I wonder what makes Morgan decide to leave the Buy More again? He left once in the season 2 finale? then came back. what’s his reason this time?
At least we know Shaw’s wife is dead so that puts and to her being turned over to the Ring theory.

We have previously seen at least 2 occasions that Shaw has anger management problems. 1) when the went back and knocked out a changed Ring agent. 2) In vs The Fake name when Chuck is fake fighting with Shaw because the mobsters are watching. Shaw gets Chuck in a choke hold. He doesn’t relent even when Sarah yells at him.

How about this senario!What if Sarah was ordered to kill someone by a Ring Agent who was working for the CIA 5 plus years ago as part of her Red Test to become a spy and was manipulated by the Ring because Eve who is Shaw’s wife compromise her cover.
If this senario is true all H*** is going to break loose in ep.13 if Shaw knows that it was Sarah who killed his wife through orders from a Ring agent who work with CIA.
Sarah who did not know it was Eve Shaw’s wife is in extreme danger now and Chuck is the only one who can save her.

I find it interesting that in this teaser, the roles of Chuck and Shaw seem to have flipped…Chuck is the logical one who is now concerned with the emotional state of Shaw, instead of the other way around. I kind of like the possibilities this reversal hints at.

Ok – here’s my speculation:
I’m thinking that maybe Shaw finally gives us a glimpse into why he’s been hanging around all year… When Sarah opens up to Shaw [again] – this time about her true feeling for Chuck – it makes Shaw snap…
After the death of his wife – I’m guessing he’s not really that stable – or he has trouble letting go.
He’s bent on revenge – and he’s been grooming Chuck for a big Ring operation.
[ Win at all cost kind of mission]
Not sure if he’s the creepy stalker type when Sarah cuts him loose – but he’s often seen watching everyone else on the video feed inside Castle.
Sarah feels sorry for him – Chuck is certainly more suspicious…

I’ll agree with your speculation Gringo Chuck Fan! The past episodes of season 3 ep.4 through 12 is like a puzzle the peices are beginning to come together now from Shaw’s perspective especailly sending Chuck on these solo suicide missions like he did on “THE FIST CLASS”.
First “THE MASK”. Shaw tells Sarah that he has feelings for her to use her to get close to Chuck.
Second “THE FAKE NAME”.Sarah who is a emotional wreck now went to Shaw’s apartment becuase she have no one else to talk to talked about Chuck’s dual life and how his lies and secrets are affecting his friends,family including Hannah and her.Sarah admitted to Shaw that she still loves Chuck.That when Shaw suduced Sarah at her momoment of weakness but he is angry at the same time.That why Shaw went off on Chuck at his apartment hitting and choking Chuck in front of Sarah eventhough she begged him to stop, but Shaw didn’t.
But ever since then Sarah been keeping her relationship with Shaw Stictly professional.
Third “THE BEARD” Shaw telling Sarah that he was going to blow-up Castle with Chuck in there did not win no brownie points with Sarah as far as she’s concerned,and did you see him give Sarah that look when she back Chuck up about him telling Shaw that he is not going to put Morgan underground because he found out about chuck’s secret.
Things will start to fall apart for Shaw when he tries to make a move on Sarah,that when she will ended with him and to work things out with Chuck maybe in ep.11 or 12 especally when Sarah finds put that Shaw used Chuck/intersect and her to take out his revenge on the Ring for killing his wife.Sarah does feel sorry for him.
When you Start to use people to carry out your own personal agenda,it usually ends up bad for that person who’s plotting out the revenge.
I got a bad feeling this is how it’s going to end for Shaw.He will probaly die a doomed hero’s death. We will see!

I saw in Wikipedia that Chuck will air episodes 11-15 until April 19 straight. Episode 16 will air on May 10. This means that the ratings of the next five episodes are very important for the survival of “Chuck”. The ratings of May probably will not be as important.
I think that everybody who loves “Chuck” (even those annoyed by some of the choices made so far) should help the show by watching it live on TV, convincing other people to watch it too.
Seriously people, the details are not important right now. Our heroes will soon be happy and free.”Chuck” is TV at its best, and if we let it go, we will regret it for a long time.

I believe that Chuck will kill Shaw to protect Sarah.I think Shaw is using the team to get revenge on the ring for turning his wife.Then he will get revenge on Sarah because she killed Shaw’s wife after she became a ring agent.The writers may even make a female villain from a previous episode turn out to be Shaw’s wife,someone Sarah killed or captured while saving Chuck. When Gen. Beckman said “It’s too dangerous Shaw ,they need to know.”Shaw kept it quiet by telling the general that it would just be a distraction and the team wouldn’t trust him if they knew. Since Shaw didn’t turn even after the ring turned his wife Beckman thought she could trust him, not knowing about his second revenge plot against agent Walker and the team.

it says “The team” which by my point of view means that either Casey will be reassigned to work with Chuck and Sarah or that Shaw will still be present by that time…or of course that could mean that Gen. Beckman would assign someone else to work with them…

it sounds like what it sounds like .. we have seen enough after 3.07 which as OD said they have wrecked the tokens of the characters. So now we will get a bunch more sarah with shaw. Its time chuck moved on she has been too badly damage by all this. It seems that 3.7 was not some play to protect chuck but sarah is swayed by a coffee and back rub.

My aunt is the one with the box wish i had your faith really not after this season with what happened in 3.07 was willing to give it a chance until 3.9 but it got steadily worse. It seems sarah really was not doing it for a play against shaw which has destroyed her character and any realistic relationship between her and chuck.
Thats why we had to have family nights around the aunts its patrongage of families favourate shows. The family order is no one watches the show any more.

So it seems that rumors and spoilers were more awful than anyone could have suspected…At this point I really think that we will see Sarah getting pregnant of Shaw.
The show is over, Josh Schwartz killed the core of the show. Just like he killed The O.C. before and Gossip Girl is like dead already… he managed to kill all the excellent writing and core of the show that Chuck&Sarah romance was all about. Now the characters are not themselves anymore and not only he is not going to order writers to fix the soap opera/telenovela nonsense bad writing mess he obliged to put on the show by breaking characters forever but he is now even going to push it further into the low quality soapish zone… Josh Schwartz is a really dangerous guy, he really thinks to be the smartest one around but truth is he has zero respect for the products he is assigned as an executive producer of, he doesn’t care about plot and characters, he just forces writers to write cheap soap/telenovela garbage because he thinks that that is “what people want”.. and he thinks to be a smart business man… This guy kills excellently written shows one after the other. He already killed 3 so far including Chuck.. what will he be allowed to kill next?

This season has not so much been a roller coaster its been a constant downer. Seems the fans that like chuck and sarah dynamic “shippers” as many of the so called core fans call them are not wanted as fans. Fair enough plenty of other things to do, love Mass effect 2 DLC coming out soon. This has taught me not to be loyal to TV shows and just watch what I want to. Shame I was hoping something would explain Sarah and chucks behaviour apart from they are acting like gossip girl extras. Sorry but really sarah is badly damaged by this ..

The issue lies not with the characters themselves which are fictional but with executive producer Josh Schwartz that has forced his narrow minded soap/telenovela visions on Chuck destroying characters and plot that were written in an excellent way by show writers during the first two seasons and still up to episode 3.06. How Season3 started was cool, it was good writing.. but then the show got cracked and destroyed since the awful episode 3.07 and then 3.08 aired.. Josh Schwartz with some interviews kept promising viewers that there was a masterplan and that the writing was very good… lies! He kept telling lies knowing that he forced writers to do a very lazy work and actually doing the opposite of excellent writing they were used to deliver.
Shame on Josh Schwartz! I once loved The O.C. Season1 as well but then Josh Schwartz killed the show with an awful Season2. The same thing he did to Gossip Girl which even doesn’t stay true to its source at all. And now Mr.Schwartz managed to kill the absolutely excellent Chuck series that once was for the first two seasons and beginning of season three.
And the most depressing thing is that Mr.Schwartz really thinks to be a very good business man and he keep forcing his wrong visions not listening to viewers and fans, he doesn’t care about anything, he must know that whatever mess he does killing one show after another there will be someone in the business saving him from the disgrace he puts every single production he works for in. How sad…
I was hoping that Chuck could have lasted many years but at this point there is no reason to continue this mess.
The only way to fix things a bit is to get rid of Sarah, have her killed or have her quit whatever.. the character is no good anymore, the romance is destroyed.. but anyway I doubt the show could survive another full season from now on and that well written Chuck/Sarah romance can’t be brought back, whatever the could come up with from now on would just look fake and forced. The character of Sarah has been wasted too much now to fix her. Chuck has been wasted as well but being the show Chuck itself it can’t exist without the main character of course.
If Season4 will happen I seriously doubt it will be able to last more than a bunch of episodes.. the majority of viewers will surely stop watching thanks to Josh Schwartz and all the soapish bad lazy writing of Sarah and Shaw sex and lust.

Timalay! do not ever believe what Chis and josh says when giving interviews when it comes to a show. They are the main writers for Chuck they can’t tell you everything that giong to happen on the show they will lie first before before they tell you the truth. They manipulated the truth
Chris and Josh knew that Shaw’s character was going to end at ep’13 and like the writer Lou W.Sytsma wrote in her review of Chuck vs The American hero about the Shaw/Sarah relationship it was a sham and the episodes from the show suffered because it.
Sometimes do not believe what the spoilers are saying either.ep.13 is a prime example of that “CHUCK VS THE OTHER GUY” based on what has happened toward the end of ep.12 “CHUCK VS THE AMERICAN HERO”.There always clues they give out from the previous episode that lesds to the next episode.
Sometimes you have read between the lines on what they saying especially when writers and sometimes actors/atrecess when they manipulate the truth like that.

Seriously what is wrong with you guys? Are you trying to doom the show before its even finished? Just watch the dam episode and then come back and complain!
Shaw will be gone in about 3 episodes, so stop crying. Im pretty certain sarah and chuck will be together soon, but remember that if we want season 4, and they are together properly like a couple then it might change the dynamic of the show alot, the producers need to think about that stuff carefully. Some of you that come on here just to shout about sarah and show is just not thinking properly so just stop commenting.

I have to agree with you viperfx everyone just needs to wait and see how the season will unfold. I hate hate hate hate hate the character of shaw and want him to die badly but I like the idea of him getting in between chuck and sarah. I think adding in characters like him give the show many more possibilities and another dynamic. I want charah to be together just like I want Booth and Bones, and Castle and Beckett to be together but you are able to do much more keeping them apart. I guarantee most of the people who complain would also complain if they put the characters together too fast, you just can’t please everyone. I’m just gonna sit back and enjoy everything that unfolds and wait to see what happens before I make my final verdict.

I love to see Chuck season 4 but with new directors and writers that knows what market wants. Get rid of present directors and writers. Not good for chuck and the team.

oh man episode 11 was such a disappointment…
Sarah and Chuck were so close to kissing each other but Shaw just ruined the moment…damn!
i just hope that the next episodes will fix this mess…
it’s amazing but i still haven’t lost my faith in Josh and Chris…

I really want Chuck to get back together with Sara. In my mind that is the meat and potatoes of the show. Shaw should die and not come back. If a romantic mood comes into the show between Chuck and Sara there are many ways to turn. I for one think that the season finally if not sooner should have them together. Casey will probably be reinstated too! Even though Sara tells Shaw she no longer loves Chuck, I think she said it in the heat of the moment. I also think she will some how find out that Chuck did not kill the CIA traitor. She will keep it secret and that will bring them closer. If I am right thenthe series has a chance, if not, then I hope a 2 hour movie conclusion bring them together because seaon four will be in doubt. I hope Josh and Chris change their no Chuck Sara to a yes Chuck Sara before 3.19.

Here’s my guess.
The woman that Sarah killed during her “Red Test” as revealed in Chuck v the final exam is going to turn out to be shaws wife.
He either already knows or he will find this out. Again my guess, he already knows and everything he’s doing is to setup Sarah to lose Chuck. Thats why he’s so anxious to know if Sarah loves Chuck.
His agenda is all about avenging his wife.

From sarah killing shaw’s wife,Casey telling Sarah that it was him that kill the mole not Chuck and Sarah dumping Shaw prfessional relationship to be with Chuck,and Shaw finding out that it was Sarah who kills his wife.
His motivation is about revenge and using Team B

I am a diehard Chuck fan! For me the Shaw element has in many ways ruined my enjoyment of the show. Hopefully Brendon Routh will be gone and never return. Hopefully people will start watching again when he has left!

same here…i will always watch Chuck, no matter if Shaw leaves the show or not, it’s just that he became so annoying…
at first he was ok but now i can’t seem to figure out what he’s planning…

I was thinking about that too…it’s confusing…i’m guessing that after Shaw escaped from that hospital(or whatever that was) he forgot who actually killed his wife, therefore he is determined to find out the identity of the killer, but something just doesn’t add up…i guess we’re just gonna have to wait and see…

In less than 36 hours ep.13 of “Chuck vs The Other Guy will be on. What will happen? Here’s my speculation.
We know by the end of ep.12 that it was Sarah that killed Eve Shaw’s wife 5 years ago as part of her Red Test to become a spy manipulated by a Ring agent who was woking for the CIA because Eve has compromised her cover as a Ring agent. Ofcourse Shaw knows this as well and Sarah is now with Shaw not knowing she’s in exsteme danger.
Chuck who also saw the video image of Sarah shooting Eve along with Gen.Beckman is now looking for Sarah.He’s going to need some help on this mission. Will we see Casey reinstated for this mission only to help Chuck find Sarah and to save her from the Ring and Shaw? I don’t know.
Shaw will try to get his revenge on Sarah for killing his wife not by killing her but by trying to kill Chuck instead the man that she loves to make Sarah feel the same pain he’s been feeling for five years. Chuck will fight Shaw not only in defense of himself but saving Sarah’s life as well.
So will Sarah pull the trigger killing Shaw to save Chuck? Will it be Casey who’ll do it? Or will it be Chuck who will have no other choice but to kill Shaw to save Sarah’s life? I don’t know. Maybe Shaw might die a hero’s death. I just don’t see that.
Shaw is suicidal. He’s is motivated by revenge. We saw it in The American Hero,he wanted to die and he has death in his heart right now. It’s been 5 years since Eve died. Shaw has not gottin over that and to tell you the truth he’ll never will. You accepted it and move on. This obsession for revenge and using Team B to do it at first to only find out that it was Sarah that killed his wife has taking him to a dark place he want be able to come back from.
Shaw manipulated Gen.Beckman,Team B,and that includes Sarah most of all. She is Chuck’s boss in training to become a spy Shaw controls Sarah he’s controls Chuck for his own agenda using missions as a cover for his revenge againts the Ring.He basically manipulated the truth.Gen.Beckman worst fears have come true since the episode of “THE THREE WORDS”.
No matter who pulls the trigger killing Shaw,lives are going to be affected by this. What will be the fallout from this.
Will Gen.Beckman looses her rank as General or her authority over Team B because of what Shaw did? What happens to Team B Chuck is the team leader now will Sarah be his spy partner? yes and what about Casey will he be reinstated with the Government and be a part of Team B and if he does come back will he looes his rank from Colonel back to Major? we will see.
