General Beckman Promoted To Series Regular

Chuck just added a new series regular for season 4: Bonita Friedericy has been promoted! Chris Fedak tells EW’s Ausiello, “She’s an incredibly important part of the show. She’s like the Charlie to Charlie’s Angels.”

Fedak also reveals that we’ll see General Beckman out from behind her desk again in the season premiere. “We’ll see her legs in the first episode,” Fedak reveals with a chuckle. “She gets to walk around.”

Congratulations to Bonita!

  1. This is awesome news, and I’m really happy for Bonita! Does anyone else think it’d be cool to see a flashback episode where we’d learn a bit about General Beckman’s backstory (perhaps past dealings with Orion)?

  2. I always felt that she “was and is a regular cast member” of the show! Duh! Season 4 to figure this out….seriously!?!?

  3. Season 4 just keeps getting more Awesome.
Every day I’m content with what I’ve heard about this season, but then I check ChuckTV.net and get names like Linda Hamilton, Lou Ferrigno, Stone Cold, Nicole Richie, Dolph Lundgren.
I don’t think I could be more psyched.

What would we do without you, ChuckTV.net?

  4. It makes perfect sense. Nobody else got a “Guest Starring” credit nearly every episode for three seasons. She deserves the upgrade.

  5. This is great news. Congratulations, Bonita! Er, Ma’am! 😉

  6. Hey, we’ll actually get to see her name in the opening credits during the theme song….

  7. About time the general gets some respect!

  8. Awesome news for Bonita! In my mind she was ALWAYS a regular, Haha I like the episodes where we get to see Beckman outside of her little hole in Washington. “She’s so tiny!”

  9. Cool. My only question is that if Chuck and Sarah are no longer CIA, why are we seeing Beckman often enough to garner a regular role? Curiouser and curiouser…

  10. I can’t wait to see how they integrate her in the opening credits!

  11. Hmmm, where in the credits will she end up? Before “with Sarah Lancaster and Adam Baldwin”?

  12. In the immortal words of the mighty miget – ” It’s about damn
    time ” ! Congrats Bonita.

  13. Awesome news. I want to see some more Morgan + Beckman interaction; imagine the inevitable Napoleon Syndrome developing.

  14. I bet she is glad now that Casey did not kill Chuck in the second season–jobs are hard to find!
