Not a huge scoop, but Ausiello gives us a little tidbit about some travel plans for Team Bartowski:
Question: Olivia Munn was awesome on Chuck last week. Any chance she’s going to be a series regular? —Jeni
Ausiello: I hear they wanted her to stick around, but she has a full plate, what with The Daily Show and NBC’s Perfect Couples. But maybe this will cheer you up: An upcoming Chuck—or an upChuck, if you will—will be set in Thailand. Not the REAL Thailand, though. A sliver of the Warner Bros. backlot made to look like Thailand.
Uh, thanks for clarifying that they aren’t going to the real Thailand. Anyway, what could they be doing in Thailand?

Will this signify the return of Roan Montgomery? “Remember Thailand!”
Will be nice to see Chuck and Sarah on exotic locations again!

I’m sure they’ll be chasing after one of Volkoff’s agents.
So, they’ve been to real countries like China (Hong Kong), France, Switzerland, Mexico, Russia, UAE (Dubai), Morocco (Tangiers), Czech Republic (Prague), and they’re going to Thailand. But, first, they next go to one fake country–Costa Gravas………
Yes, they get around
, and that’s not counting whatever country Ellie and Awesome went to in Africa.

What will Chuck be doing in Thailand?
Remember the episode where Chuck spoke Thai?
That’s not real Thai. That’s ‘weird’ Thai with a very thick Chinese accent.
Why do westerners always think that Thai is China. Thailand is different from China!
I hope they get it right this time! Because I love Chuck and I don’t want them to do something like this.

sorry for double post…
Chuck’s (Zachary Levi’s) attempt to speak Thai was amazing but the ‘Chinese’ woman didn’t speak Thai. It actually took me a few times to actually understand what she was saying! (And I’m a Thai!)

Let’s not be so harsh on the cast/writers. Thai must be a really difficult language, so it is really picky to complain about the accent.
Sarah’s german was also weird, and Chuck’s french wasn’t the greatest, but we don’t see everybody complainig and they are much easier do learn and pronounce than Thai.
I think the actors and writers have much more pressing issues with the ratings like that then to worry if their Thai accent is going to be “just perfect” and not sound chinese.

Thanks for your reply.
for me.
Okay you’re quite true Thai is a very hard language to speak. English is also too
To be honest though, I thought they should’ve hired a person who can actually speak Thai.
(I mean the woman, Not Chuck of course)
But anyways, at least Thailand is in Chuck! My favorite show!

Oh, I get it now! Sorry, I thought you were complaining about Zach’s pronounciation, not the extra’s.
, but don’t let that ruin the episode for you!
Ok, they probably could have gotten some extra who spoke thai well. I understand why you feel like that. It really annoys me when someone is supposed to be speaking brazilian portuguese, but is speaking portuguese from portugal

Let’s be honest how many people watching the show could tell the difference or even care? The scene was funny and thats all that matters.

Well that was nothing compared to what they did in season 1. Sarah and Casey where at a pier in Helsinki, Finland, and supposedly there where some guys in the background speaking finnish. But what they spoke wasn’t finnish at all, it was totally just something the writers though would sound like finnish, no language at all! LOL! :p
But these things shouldn’t be taken too seroiusly, I mean there’s so much more to worry about.

I believe Munn’s Greta character said that she was going to Thailand, so we might see her again, hopefully with a bit more sparkle than her first appearance. Maybe she could be Morgan’s PLI since people seem to be saying that Alex is too young for him.

Very sharp, Doctor Bob! Could Olivia Munn also have been after Volkoff all along and that be the reason for her Thailand trip?
I also think Alex is toooooooo young for him. Kinda creepy.

Morgan is about 28 or 29. Alex is around 22. That is not a huge age gap. Especially considering that Alex is probably the more mature one in the relationship.

You’re right about Morgan. He either already is 29 or is about to turn 29. Alex was born in 1989 or 1990 (“Honduras 1989″ caption: vs. the Tic Tac) making her 20 or 21. In some cultures bigger gaps than that are normal. In TV land it is less common.

I hope we don’t see Munn again. Too stiff and what a poker face did she have? And I agree about Alex and Morgan, Just…no. I feel bad for Casey already. I feel like it’s a slap to his face.

I’ve got to say, I actually don’t mind the whole Morgan/Alex thing. I think it’s going to make for some comedy gold, and really, the age difference works out nicely since it’s taken Morgan so long to mature enough to have somewhat regular interactions with ppl.
Just my humble opinion, though.

She was horrible. Unlikeable and she can´t act. She is a model, I know but it doesn´t mean everybody will be excited about her presence.

Assuming Chuck was turning 26 in the pilot (and that Morgan hasn’t skipped any grades while growing up) Morgan should be around 29 or 30 this year. Eight years is a bit of a gap, but Alex comes off as a smart, responsible girl and Morgan has matured into a nice and dependable guy. I actually feel like it’s less creepy now that he’s more mature than if he was still acting as he did while he was dating Anna, when his behavior was more inline with Alex’s current physical age.
Although if they do start dating and Casey manages to not kill Morgan over it right then, he certainly will if Morgan ever tries to break up with her.
