She Said: Chuck 4.24, Chuck vs the Cliffhanger

Chuck vs the Cliffhanger, AKA Chuck vs the Mind Blowing Plot Changes

Well, Chuck me! Even after a re-watch, I’m still trying to wrap my mind around last night’s season finale. Obviously we knew Sarah would survive and that there might be some resolution of the Agent X plot, and hopefully a wedding, but there was all that and tons more. Many of us thought that last week’s episode was packed full, but this week’s felt like a 3 hour long episode (or should we say 3 weeks?) crunched into an hour.

Although this installment had a much different tone and style from previous season finales, it was highly entertaining. There was a lot of what I love/have been hoping to see from Chuck – teamwork, geek references, sharp dialogue, and Chuck taking control of a situation, even sans Intersect. As many suggested during the live chat, this episode was in some ways like Chuck’s version of “Phase 3”, complete with the hazy memories/flashbacks. Chuck didn’t punch his way through Thailand or swim through a leech-infested swamp, but in every other way he was in control this week. I’m sure all the other female Chuck fans will agree with me that the only thing hotter than normal Chuck is confident devil-may-care Chuck in tight leather on a tricked out motorcycle. There was no whining, no bumbling, just doing. When Hartley bailed on him (“I’m going to run away now!”), instead of giving up, Chuck just walked right up and asked to see Vivian – “I’m Charles Carmich…Chuck Bartowski. I’m here to see Vivian…she wants to kill me” (fanning myself to keep from swooning). I definitely don’t want the sweet, bumbling, geeky Chuck to disappear entirely, but it was nice for a change to see a determined Chuck controlling his own destiny without Casey or Sarah saving him in the end.

I feel somewhat vindicated that Vivian hadn’t entirely completed her journey to the dark side, even though I officially gave up on her after the last episode. Her near murder of Sarah is bordering on unforgivable, but with her family history, I guess things could have turned out worse. As it was, she didn’t end up killing any innocent people (that we know of, which reminds me of the movie True Lies – “Have you ever killed anyone?” “Yeah, but they were all baad.”) I can’t help but think about the awkward life Hatley and Vivian are probably now having on the run, without their vast fortune, barely knowing each other, coming to grips with all the unpleasant things that they’ve done and all the baggage they’ve collected. I hope for their sakes that they found a good therapist wherever they are.

Despite the overarching sense of danger, there were a lot of heartwarming moments in this episode. Even more so than other Chuck almost-series-finales we’ve seen, this one really felt like it was trying to say goodbye. We got the sweet flashbacks to Chuck and Sarah’s private wedding rehearsal, Morgan holding vigil at Sarah’s bedside in Chuck’s absence, Casey telling Chuck how he really feels about him, Chuck and Mama B saying goodbye, General Beckman helping Chuck save Sarah, and the montage of Chuck and Sarah moments (loved the dress!) going all the way back to the pilot as they left the church after the ceremony. I really think that had this been the last episode that it would have sufficed. However, as we get 13 more episodes in the fall, I would be remiss if it didn’t discuss all the new developments that Chuck’s fearless leaders threw at us during the last minutes of the episode.

The last five minutes gave us some pretty startling revelations, courtesy of Clyde “the Eraser” Decker (guest star Richard Burgi, who is certainly no novice at playing a major tool). According to Decker, Chuck, his family, and many of the people he’s crossed paths with (Shaw!) haven’t been in control of their own lives since well before he was born. They have all been the puppets of a character who I assume is destined to be the “big bad” of season 5. It’s interesting that we are pretty much back to where I thought season 4 was going to go after Chuck discovered Orion’s lair in the season 3 finale. Our favorite A Team is on their own now, with no CIA, but a sweet underground lair, cover jobs, almost “one beeellliiooon dollars” (pinky to mouth) and a major grudge to avenge. And as if that wasn’t enough to go on, Morgan had to…well.. be Morgan and Intersect himself with the glasses Beckman meant for Chuck. I know Kung Fu, indeed…

Great quotes and other bits (lots of them this week!):
Bike/18-wheeler scene – such a classic movie scene
Special super-short opening sequence
“Your real name is Hartley Winterbottom” – Decker
“Nobody names a person that!” – Hartley Winterbottom
“Think angry thoughts” – Chuck to Hartley at Volkoff headquarters
“I guess I must have been a harsh boss” – Hartley
“Probably sweep the leg…I haven’t decided. I like to improvise” – Morgan, the “professional spy”
“Russians…so many Russians!” – Casey
“That guy might think he’s a hard ass, but I’m the Intersect!” – Chuck
And in the famous last words department: “Oh nice, slick new gig, slick new shades… what could go wrong?” – Morgan

Here’s hoping for a fabulous season 5! Thanks for letting me share my Chuck obsession with you all this spring. It’s been tons of fun and I can’t thank you all enough for all your support!

Chuck vs the Goodbye: 10 Years Later

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Chuck series finale. It feels like a decade …

  1. Great ep, but didn’t feel too finale-y for me since there was no Jeffster! performance. At least the wedding went on without a hitch.

I too was hoping they’d become freelance spies at the start of season 4 (upon discovering Orion’s trove of neat spy gadgets), but better late than never I guess. (I’m still sad about that explosion in “First Fight”.)

When they tried to have no-Intersect Chuck this season, it didn’t quite go so well. I hope he leaves the whiny behavior to this season and finally becomes the second Orion, with all the savvy and charm of the former one.

As for the new Mrs. B., that dress was completely stunning!

Had to laugh at Hartley’s terrifed look while riding the motorbike with Chuck.

Last, but not the least, freshly minted world-class superspy Morgan Guillermo Grimes is gonna be a blast methinks.

    • Although Orion strikes me as the fellow with double redundancy measures in place. I’m sure that there are other secret Orion lairs that could be discovered.

      • after what i have heared from Decker I would guess or suspect that orion is still alive and captured?!?

    • Morgan with the intersect …………. the show needs episode to fix this and get it back into Chuck or there will be 12 useless episodes of Chuck

  2. It was a great episode overall. I honestly think it may be best if Morgan keeps the Intersect (so he isn’t useless in the spy team) and Chuck takes a step back and becomes the “brains” of their operation.

The next season has been set up well and hope they are able to fully resolve the whole mystery while keeping Chuck’s marriage with Sarah successful (They can make some pretty funny story lines with it) and also involve the Buy More and Chuck’s duties in owning it.

Also they’re rich. I’m hoping for possibly a new home for them (it would nice to have a new setting).

    • At the beginning of season 4, I was hoping they’d move to the Encino house… it’s since been exploded to smithereens, but maybe they can use the money bequeathed to them by the Winterbottoms to rebuild it?

  3. Everything was great until they put the intersect in Morgan. We will have to see how it plays out at the beginning of next season, but I’m not liking the idea of Morgan being the intersect member of the team.

    • i totally agree with you chuck should be the intersect and not Morgan! Morgan is better as the sidekick and not the hero

    • Itabashi Zangitan

While it is a good idea to Intersect every member of Chuck’s team. To make them all super spys. Yes, even John Casey, could do with some intersect skills, seduction, speaking Thai, ballroom dancing, etc.

The Intersect is highly dangerous, and without its creator Orion or someone of that caliber like Pegasus or Agent X aka Hartley Winterbottom, Chuck would put his team in danger – IN THE LONG TERM. Chuck is not yet at Orion’s level to build and police his own intersect. Long term and side effects wise, Morgan could be in trouble and maybe as good as dead.

    • Nice review and good points

I don’t think it is intended to now focus the hero to be Morgan. Mel posted a comment from RDM that TPTB aware our concerns and assures us Chuck is still the best person when comes to having Intersect Need to see how they attempt to shows us

The conspiracy is a nice angle but again execution is my biggest concern more than Intesect. Chuck needs to be a hero without it They tried this season to show how dependent he was on it and how it effected his confidence at being a spy without it. Finale showed him stepping up and using his smarts which in the end he needs to be able to do anyway.

    • I really agree that so ruined this season for me … also then the “i know kung-fu” without being in a threatening environment really pissed me off this whole season they said that just chuck can controll the intersect and now suddenly morgan can do so aswell and even better it seems …

it was a load of informations and i am glad we ll get a new season but i really hope they do not let morgan keep the intersect …

but all in all question is did general beckman give chuck the new intersect or was it decker?

      • We saw Morgan with the Intersect for all of 10 seconds. How do you know Morgan can control it “and even better” than Chuck?

      • Well better because chuck needs a trigger to activate the intersect, Morgan on the other hand recieved the intersect and was supposed to know Kung Fu at once… That’s why I say that

    • I loved the episode until Morgan got the intersect download. I can’t express how much I dislike the idea. I’m tired of Chuck getting and losing the intersect bit too. The boys brain is going to turn to mush. Just let him be the one and only intersect and move on. I love the idea of them getting new spy gadgits thanks to the Volkoff money and technology. Just deitersect Morgan and reintersect Chuck and leave his brain alone. There are too many other good story lines that can be developed without rehashing old ones.

  4. Hopefully Alfred is only borrowing Batman’s cowl.

  5. Love Chuck, love Sarah and Chuck, love all the characters and everything about the show. This finale was awesome up until Morgan became the intersect, but I’m willing to wait until season 5 to see how it all plays out.

My favorite quotes came from mama B to Chuck.

“Chuck, have you ever even ridden a motorcycle? And I hope to god the answer is no.”

“Charles? I know time is of the essence but you are driving awfully fast.”
    “Sorry mom.” *accelerates faster*

I also loved it when the many russians landed to back Chuck up.

I just REALLY hope season 5 is not the end. This show is too entertaining.

    • we share the same sentiments, plus i always mush up whenever Chuck calls Sarah ‘baby.’ this show is the only thing that values family and relationship in its purest, simplest form and that is the main reason why i love it so much! this is the only US series i watch and am addicted to, and always talk to friends about. i can never get enough of Chuck, and i really hope and wish that somehow we could still have more seasons. but even if this is really the end, i have much faith in the producers and writers that even if the end turns out to be totally unexpected, it will all be for the best! …btw, it’s not too much to pray for a spinoff movie, is it? just trying my luck, you know?!

  6. You forgot to include in your quotes the best exchange between Hartley and Casey after Hartley see’s Ronald Reagan’s picture.
Hartley “Is he still in Charge?”
    Casey “If only.”

  7. It was a great episode until Morgan took something that didn´t belong to him. Again. It spoiled the episode for me, and honestly, if they really won´t try hard to make this work, I am not sure I will be able to watch Season 5. I never liked Morgan, there were moments I couldn´t stand him and he should be the new IS? As Chuck (and Dr.Samuel Beckett) would say: “Oh, Boy.”

  8. Hi all, Liked the episode all in all. As I Posted elsewhere on this site: Dekker talking bout the “conspiricy” & laughing @ Papa B being dead is interesting. Gen Beckman gave Chuck the Intersect shades – When Dekker comes for them he will automatiaclly assume that Chucks reintersected himself. So in a weird way Morgan will keep the Intersect “safe” for Chuck. This what I can see happening in the 1st 3 episodes next season: 1) Team Orion will make room for themselves & establish the Company. 2) Through Gen. Beckman develop a relationship with the CIA/NSA. 3) With Ellie’s help De-intersect Morgan & Re-Intersect Chuck (because Morgan can’t handle it) What ye think?

  9. I really enjoyed the episode up until the ending with Morgan, that bit I didn’t like. Especially as I’m still sort of in the dark as to what’s going on with Chuck’s intersect, is it still suppressed? If so, then damn, no I don’t like this new direction, but if Chuck gets his back then I can sort of see it being amusing, Chuck teaching Morgan to grow up and be responsible. There’s still a few issues to get around though, surely Morgan’s going to need a governor, is that the same intersect 2.0 as what Chuck had, was the “laptop intersect” in Chuck truly different from the 2.0 but just not shown itself yet [maybe that’s how he gets it back if the glasses were a one-time only thing]? I don’t know, the cliffhanger about someone being the puppet master was enough for me, the Morgan thing didn’t really need to be in there, in my opinion.

  10. Wow, I’m surprised how many negative comments I’ve seen about this episode. Talk about shooting a gift horse in the mouth.

I thought it was fantastic and can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for us nxt season.

  11. I can’t believe they missed one little final touch…

After Morgan said “I know Kung Fu” (and Chuck/Sarah/Casey looked at each other) the screen should have gone black and “TO BE CONTINUED” should have come up, just like at the end of season 2, when Chuck said the same line.

And don’t you want to get married just so you can recite Chuck’s & Sarah’s vows? I puddled up. And Morgan as the minister was wonderful.

One little quibble… if Hartley & Vivian have disappeared with new identities, what’s become of his mother?

  12. Seeing Morgan getting the Intersect reminded me of a certain Season 1 exchange:

Beckman: Our most valuable secrets have been sent to an idiot.
Graham: At least they weren’t sent to his friend.

    • OMFG that is one of my favorite scenes of the whole series. lol

      • Kon – great memory! I totally forgot about that line, but now that you remind me, I remember it. How perfect! LOL Although like him or hate him, we all have to agree that Morgan is not the same person he was in season 1 before he learned to be a “tucker” (of his shirts) and took on some adult responsibility.

      • “Morgan is not the same person he was in season 1”

        – Agreed, I like him much much more now than what he was in season 1/early season 2, and I’m actually happy he got Intersected. The reason why I brought that up was that I’m getting the vibe that Graham is currently rapidly spinning in his grave.

Since I’ve mentioned Graham… I’ve the feeling now he was a “right hand” or something of whoever is behind the conspiracy Decker was alluding to.

  13. It’s safe to state that the freelance spies was well received by the fans. However that didn’t create much chatter. I think having Morgan intersected at the end was good. It should keep the us fans debating the pros and cons until the season starts.

  14. I give it a 8.5 on a 10 point scale, with points deducted for shortchanging us on the wedding after shortchanging us on the proposal. After all that Chuck and Sarah had been through, they should played the wedding straight. And am I the only one wondering how Morgan could marry Chuck and Sarah? Maybe the answer to that will be revealed on the Season 4 DVD.

It will be interesting to see how they wrap up the series. I can’t wait for Season 5!

    • Isn’t it so that in the US u can get the permit declare a couple man and wife through out the internet? I ve seen that so often on tv not sure how that is in reality thought but after all chuck is also just TV … second , i don t think that the Wedding should have been longer since the most important thing here was they are married now and nothing came in between no raid from the CIA (even though they went rogue) but well and there were definitely way more important things shown in this episode than these two things which was not… i think

  15. Did not like the fact Morgan has the intersect now. He is perfect as the friend and always commenting on how cool chuck is everytime he flashes. Chuck almost has a relationship with the intersect stemming fr being a boy and the first program being uploaded while messing with his dads work. Chuck also uses his geekiness to do what others could not do when uploaded with the same intersect.

  16. It’s safe to state that the freelance spies was well received by the fans. However that didn’t create much chatter.

I think having Morgan get intersected was a good idea. It’s has given us the fans a topic to discuss the pros and cons about for most of the summer.

    • As soon as they introduced the idea of Agent X I had realized it was a foregone conclusion that they would go rogue. As you pointed out, most people not only seem to be okay with it but want it.

Personally I’ve never really like the idea of freelance spies. First because it’s already become the go-to story line for almost any spy show now that we can just blame everything on the Russian (which as someone who was in kindergarten when the Cold War ended pretty much means my entire life). More importantly, I’m a pessimist when it comes to people. What I think is right and what my neighbor down the street does aren’t always the same. The idea that one person (or a small group of people) will act as judge, jury and executioner (since I doubt Casey will give up his guns) on whoever they deem as “evil” without even the level of protocol or oversight they would have while working for the government is uncomfortable to me. Even good people makes mistakes, disagree over right and wrong and will do stupid things if there isn’t someone there they are accountable to. Chuck now isn’t accountable to anyone. As long as he has that disk he could do whatever he wants and no one would be able to touch him. I know for some people that sounds exciting, but for me it sounds like a recipe for corruption. Especially since his first act was to use almost a billion dollars of blood money to create his group of mercenaries. That’s a lot of power without a lot of restraints. There’s also the fact that what one person views as “evil” isn’t what everyone does. Fulcrum, after all, was a similarly privately funded spy organization which thought they were on the side of good. They were “patriots” who wanted to fight the war on terror with every weapons available and “save” the country from the current CIA regime. All I can think of is that the people who in real life would end up running around with guns exacting vigilente justice would probably be the people I least want to.

  17. One thing that you didn’t mention Cay was the growth of Chuck, Sarah, Casey and Morgan as characters. The way that Sarah shared those heartfelt, original vows with Chuck during their dry run and the satisfaction and smile on Casey’s face during the wedding were both priceless. They have all come a long way from when we first met them.

As for Morgan being Intersected, that doesn’t really bother me. There are so many possibilities for having that be just a temporary situation or to have Chuck re-Intersected as others have suggested. While I’m not ready to have Chuck completely Intersect free, I do wonder who will be the villian (Clyde Decker, like Colonel Decker who was after the A-Team) and who will come to Team Bartowski’s help (General Beckman, Carina, Zondra, Hartley, Hartley’s mom, Mary Bartowski, Ellie). The list could go on and on.

Thanks for taking up the reviewers pen, Cay. Your observations give the rest of us a chance for sharing our own thoughts, however trivial they may be. I’m hoping you will be back for Season 5.

    • I agree. The growth of the main characters is a great part of the show. It would get stale and boring otherwise. I have really enjoyed the evolution of the Chuck and Sarah relationship (apart from the silliness during the first part of Season 3), but the one relationship that could have been played better in the episode was Sarah and Casey. There is a genuine affection between these two that goes beyond a professional relationship/respect, sort of a big brother/little sister thing, and I would have liked to have seen a stronger interaction, more than just a big grin on Casey’s face during the vows. I was hoping to see Casey walk Sarah down the aisle or at least a big hug at some point. Call me a softy.

With regards to the Morgan intersecting, that did not bother me very much and I am a little surprised that so many are up in arms about it. Morgan’s character has always been used for comic relief and this is just part of that. Chuck will always be the focus of the show regardless of the silly antics of the characters that surround him. I am willing to give this little plot twist a chance before pronouncing my sentence one way or another.

All in all a satisfying ending to a really good season (apart from a few hiccups along the way).

  18. Glad to know I’m not the only one dissapointed with Morgan being “intersected”. However, I will reserve judgement until I see what they do with it. Decker really set up some good mysteries for Season 5 and I did appreciate the A-Team paralells (wasn’t it Col. Decker they were always running from in that show?). I’m really wondering if Orion is dead or not. Great to see Chuck be the hero, looking forward to to the fall!

    • Col. Lynch, Col. Decker and Col. Briggs were all of the Colonels that The A-Team were running from through out the show.

    • Also, I don’t really see them resurrecting Orion even though I love the character so much.

  19. Nice reference to True Lies. I guess that it was as good of a way to get rid of the underdeveloped Vivian. Though I hope that Timothy Dalton returns for at least an episode or two.

  20. If they don’t de-intersect Morgan immediately in Season 5, I for one will assist Decker in moving the little Ewok off to the “Black Site From Which No One Returns.”

  21. I agree that Chuck/Zach was supper HOT in this ep. The only thing that could have mach Chuck/Zach even hotter is if he were wet and/or shirtless. A girl can only dream………mmmmmm Anyway, the ep was great and the Morgan intersecting thing was the only problem I had. They already done this a thousand times but I’m willing to wait till next season before I begin to judge that cliffhanger. It could be really funny or it could be just plain stupid. We don’t know until we see it.
The Chuck and Sarah wedding and flash backs made up for the whole Morgan thing. Also the best Casey line EVA “Russians….so many russions” lmao His face when he said omfg. His lip started twiching and I almost died from laughing so hard. so funny.

    • What, you don’t like the episodes where you see Jeff shirtless? = P

The Col.’s line was pretty good, but there are soooo many! Not to mention being the man of many grunts. I think that the special features in Season 2 have it hands down:

      “Find a goat, Start Practicing!”

  22. If anyone else noticed, the chip in the glasses weren’t destroyed, (At least I didn’t see it). So it could very possibly be that Chuck and Morgan are intersects, or perhaps the whole team, but then again Sarah is sexy enough without that in her head and we all know that the Col. doesn’t need anything like that to kick in some heads!

    • Also Decker stated that that device he used on Chuck was a “surpressing device” just as the “psp” was so he might just relearns it or reactivates it somehow…

but i would like to know if the intersect, which Morgan uploaded might have some new features (like: i don t know maybe see in the dark, x-ray vision, flying or what ever ( yeah i am just jokeing))

But maybe it does have improvements which might makes it important for chuck to get it for himself…

And also what happens to Morgan now since he doesn t have a governor?

  23. Sorry to be the downer but I hated this episode. All sizzle and no steak. Can’t stand Morgan and when he told Decker to ‘let him in Douche,’ I wanted to shoot the little sh!t myself. The wedding was pathetic, the whole Winterbottom family reunion was straight out of Little House on the Prairie. They have lost a fan, and I really loved this show. And a NightHawk? A real rider would have been on a Suzuki or a Yamaha, not a bloody Honda NightHawk, it must have been the name. Hell, a Duck would have been better. Well, that happens. Best of Luck all, I’m out of here.

  24. i think the end of season five should resemble a movie from 1993 called undercover blues.its where the show took the name angele del la muerte from.

  25. Who’s to say that Morgan will keep the Intersect forever. I for one, didn’t mind that Morgan got it at the end there.

I also believe that by the third ep in Season 5, Chuck will be “re-intersected” and Morgan will somehow lose it.

  26. Hmm just rewatched the cliffhanger it was an ok episode i would probably have it as my 20th episode. I think its the most poorly written season/show ender it was too rushed .. too much happened.

Do not like the idea that chuck is just some brain now and has to be saved by morgan the new superhero. I really liked honeymooners favourate episode i had hoped we would see more of chuck and sarah taking on the world as a cool spy team seems that will never happen again. I will see what spoilers come out to see if i watch or not.

Anyway just noticed something far worse than morgan being the intersect ..

CHUCK and Sarah are not married it was not real, if you look one they come out of the church they are both wearing those bag ties they wore in the practice session also look in the limo they are wearing those bag ties they did not get married.

Not to mention that morgan who was everywhere priest marrying them in the name of the federation even in a civil wedding it is in the eyes of the law and the priest is meant to bless the rings before they are put on. This was a dream had to have been therefore they are not married.

Mel did you ask that in the recent interview you had its seems really off …

    • I can’t disagree with you on the rushed part, but I still found it satisfying, even if it can’t hold a candle to vs Subway/Ring II from last season.

I also agree that at first I didn’t think the wedding was real because of the lighting, the timing (Sarah couldn’t have been in that good of shape by the next day!), and Morgan officiating, but after seeing the rest of the episode, I find it too hard to believe that it will all turn out to be a dream. All the puppet master stuff, going out on their own – it just doesn’t make sense as a dream because if it is, then they basically have no clear path for S5. Maybe Fedak is that diabolical, but I doubt it. Maybe we’ll get more explanation later for what happened between the hospital and the chapel.

As for whether they are legally married (assuming what we saw actually happened), I can’t see TPTB letting it all hinge on a technicality. I have friends who have taken the online courses so they can marry other friends and rings are not required for weddings. Basically, in LA county, you just need a marriage license within 90 days and to be married by a minister, judge, mayor or one of a few other government officials with at least one other witness. Anyone can become a “minister” for the purposes of weddings through http://www.theamm.org/. I think there’s significant latitude in what that minister can actually say, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many themed weddings these days.

      • One thing, if you didn’t see it, when Chuck showed up back at the Buymore after the honeymoon, he had a real ring. The use of the twist ties was, I thought, really Chuck-esque and cute.
Plus with that wedding planner taking all their money, I can see why they used twist ties for the rings

      • hi Cay and DRJBartowski

thanks for that i did not know anyone could marry i just thought all those elvis impersonators were licienced.

Yeah that is one of my hate endings its all a dream its right up there with leaving one of your characters dieing or seemlingly dead. Its the sign that a show finally is out of ideas. There has been alot of shows i stopped watching after they pulled that, it does not make me want to tune in to find out what happens next.

I really did enjoy the episode it just did not make sense, maybe it was just that it was too rushed. Certainly the recent interview on chucktv podcast they seem to think its real but they could be playing us.

The confusion made it hard to feel what i should have felt which is the wow cool they did it YES sadly i was too busy saying is this a dream whats going on why are they wearing those bag ties. It was sort of wasted that should of been a huge moment the pay off it sort of did not feel right.

Then the whole morgan becoming the intersect, being in everything in the wedding it was like ok yeah this is a dream. On the whole there is not ONE episode this season that i would not watch again and again. Well done chuck team.

I just loved when chuck sparked out that gaurd for calling sarah a dirty one man i was on the floor laughing so hard and cheering chuck. There are so many favourate moments this season its hard to say what they were but sadly i have to say the wedding is not on there! It should be. There are a few moments i did not enjoy but on the whole a great season shame the ending was too rush.

I do think vivian was a waste compared to valkov and come on why did they not use ray wise as the main villian. It would of been chuck vs the devil!! Personally i would have liked to see vivian have a crush on chuck, he was oblivious but sarah was onto her and fought for her man that could have been such fun for a few episodes and we could have got a chance to see sarah go all blonde she male again. Sadly compared to volkov she just did not work.

Personally i liked push mix thats the best ending just perfect and i loved the music, the whole family feeling it felt like leathal weapon 3.

Maybe at the start of next season they will have them just do a few quick scences of the wedding or before it to explain what happend how morgan became the priest and why they had the bag ties. Maybe morgan lost the rings? or jeffster. Yeah maybe they did not have alot of cash so had to use them or maybe sarah was nervous so chuck used them to call back to their practice special c/s moment (keep quiet morgan and let them have their moments its not about you dude its about those 2).

DRJBartowski you maybe right .. yes i saw they were both wearing the rings in castle and they made a point of showing the ring in buy more.

I am really happy with the set up next year i really love the idea of freelance spies. Not so sure about morgan i do like him but in small doses i just hope we see more chuck and sarah kicking ass and working together. I am sorta worried we will not see that so much next season. Least i have honeymooners and first fight. And the awesome chuck fight in anniversary i know we did not see it but it was so cool.

  27. I have an idea…what if..
The past is repeating itself…Orion and hartley were bestfriends = chuck and morgan are bestfriends. Orion/chuck are smart computer guys that gave their bestfriends the intersect…Morgan ends up becoming a bad guys too like hartley=volkof….or clark kent and lex luthor…..

AND we’ve seen papa b, mama b, sarah’s papa, but we’ve never seen morgan’s dad or sarah’s mom…maybe one of them is the big enemy with the plan.

  28. One of MY favourite moments..

Decker, “I have no problem being the bad guy.”

    Casey, “Neither have I.”

[Casey tips the table and fights back. I actually cheered!]

  29. I’m actually watching it now. So far, All I’m thinking is AWWWW YEAAAAAH! I hope they don’t get rid of Short Skirt Long Jacket; it was my favorite theme sequence. LONG LIVE CHUCK!!!

  30. Hi all, If Dekker used a asurpression device, I can see Ellie spending 2 or 3 episodes repairing Chuck’s Intersect! Team B will have 2 intersects. It will still be the same team i.e Chuck & Sarah / Casey & Morgan. Think about it Alex was worried about Morgan – so Casey was worried bout him (vs Last Details). In that context it was easier to give Morgan the Intersect than 5 or 6 episodes of Casey training him & getting more frustrated! The writers can use those episodes on the main part of the Arc – the Conspiricy! Also by giving Morgan the Intersect it will Strengthen Chuck’s & Morgan’s friendship. So Morgan getting the Intersect might not be a bad thing! Does that make any sense?

  31. Loved the whole episode, especially when all the Russians came parachuting in after Chuck started to talk about ‘The Magnet’. Also pleased to see some of the C.A.T Squad back together bar one naughty pussycat! But what I absolutely hated was the part where Morgan (loveable but not intersect material) got the damn intersect! Why are they removing the intersect.. Well suppressing it so much then throwing it around? Morgan is a tool let’s face it, and I recall that the intersect needed a suitae candidate who was able to handle all of the data of the intersect? They should have left it when they got into Castle and said we’re going to be free lance spies then shown Chuck getting the intersect back.

I will be immensely disappointed if somehow Chuck manages to un-suppress the intersect and there is 2 of them running about! Even if it would e funny to see Chuck and Morgan recreate their favourite scenes from the Bruce Lee films! (Think they’re the one Morgan is obsessed with)
