Non-News About Season 5

E! Online has a quote from Zachary Levi about Chuck season 5 that, well, it’s not news. The writers are just starting to plot out the next season, so there aren’t any spoilers to be had as yet. So why am I posting? Because it’s Zac talking about Chuck, two of my favorite things:

jemjoven: Anything Chuck related pretty please! What’s next for our favorite spy couple?
Since this will be the final season for Chuck, Zachary Levi told us to prepare for some awesome send-off moments, especially between Chuck and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski). “It’ll be our swan song and we all kind of ride off into the sunset together,” he says. “It’s great; we get closure.” Can that closure include little spy babies for Mr. and Mrs. Bartowski?

Is anyone surprised that they’ll ride off into the sunset together?

No babies, please! Geez, they’re newlyweds, let them enjoy married life for a while.

  3. Maybe they could do a time jump and start S5 a couple of years from now.

Little baby Bryce is just taking his first steps.

  4. “It’ll be our swan song and we all kind of ride off into the sunset together,”
I think him using the expression “swan song” implies a little sadness on his behalf :-s
But on the other hand i’m happy we`l get a great finale for an amazing show that against all odds lasted for 5 years. Unfortunately this is the last time we are going to see Zachary & Yvonne share screen time as a couple and that’s a bad thing from my point of view. I wonder how their chemistry works with other people (I mean from what i saw from their other projects what they had on Chuck is kind of unique)

  5. I’m hoping for a huge 2 part Ocean’s 11 type adventure with everyone helping [perhaps even JEFFSTER, unknowingly] and then the whole TEAM driving away into the sunset 🙂

  6. I’d prefer the alias ending – time warp the last 3 minutes 5 years ahead, chuck holding his toddler little girl’s hand and sarah with baby boy in arms, coming to the door of their beach house to greet General Casey who has come knocking to ask Chuck and Sarah to come out of retirement (Morgan would have to be stalking around somewhere, might even be a way to get ellie, awesome & others involved) They talk while walking off toward the sunset on the beach to end the series – this is very close to how alias ended, and was very satisfying.

Last year shooting starting right around comic con, for a mid september start, will shooting be delayed a month this season, given that chuck starts a month late – I am predicting not, that NBC wants to get chuck shot and hard wrapped as quickly as possible – but that is just a guess?

    • Filming on season 5 will likely begin in mid- or late-July, as usual. The premiere date has not yet been announced.

  7. I hope that they get to ride off into the sunset with Papa and Mama B. as well as at least meeting Mama Burton along the way.

as fit as the titlar character of the show. The final scene should end with Chuck. Unless of course, they change the show’s title to “Chuck and Sarah” in the final season.

Although, if they go full circle back to the pilot. They’d want to end with Chuck an Morgan, talking about their lives with Sarah and Alex.

  9. He said babies so is there going to be twins if theres
    babies.

  10. It would be nice to see zach and yvonnie acting together in a film they make a lovely couple on and of tv it would be great to see them in somethink else as a couple

  11. You are right Ali and i`m pretty sure producers noticed how good they tick on & off screen.
I really think they could be like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks as a on`screen couple, i only hope Hollywood people thinks the same 😀

  12. I just think it’s a shame they are making it the final season – I really think that with the game changing Cliffhanger – they could have really launched the show into many many procedural episodes with Team Bartoski/Carmichael being a Freelance spy team. With or without the intersect in Morgan – I still think the show has so much potential and had only begun to mine the depths of comedy available.
