I tried to keep any allusions to this development out of my advance review, but since Zac sort of spilled the beans in a recent interview, I guess it’s fair game. Here’s the latest Chuck tease from TV Guide:
How does Morgan handle being the Intersect on Chuck? — Bart
NATALIE: As we revealed last week, being the Intersect will go to Morgan’s head — but what the team should be worried about is what it’s actually doing to his head… and this doesn’t seem like something the Governor will be able to fix.
Maybe the writers are going back to the idea of only chuck being able to handle the intersect. Pehaps some of us fans (including myself) judged them hastily in saying they did away with that piece of Chuck lore. It will be interesting to see how this evolves.
As far as I am concerned the Morgansect went awry soon as Morgan put on those glasses.
From the promos and previews I have seen, the morgansect stuff isn’t the least bit funny to me.
I really hope they finish off the Morgansect arc quickly so we can get on with some decent story lines like the Gertrude/Casey arc, the Decker conspircacy arc, and of course what many of us have been waiting for the Sarah’s mom arc.
My apologies to those who love the Morgansect, but its just not my cup of tea.
Everything else about S5 looks great though.
This makes it sound more and more like there is a parallel between Morgan and Volkoff.
what does it mean??? You mean Morgan will die??? Or intersect will get out of his head and Chuck will download it??? What????
Poor Morgan! What if he can’t handle the intersect? Who will it be then? Didn’t Ellie say that was the last reload on the glasses too? I can’t make sense of this.
There doesn’t have to be an intersect, but if they want one for the show there is a simple and plausable method for getting the intersect back into Chuck.
Chuck and Ellie could build a new intersect together. Remeber Papa B said that there is nothing broken in the world the two of them couldn’t ifx if they worked together.
It means that, if they go the parallel route, Morgan will have a personality breakdown that leaves him in a position where he will need rescuing by Chuck and TB. This is like Hartley and Alexis
well they said someone is not going to survive in this last season lets hope its not morgan cause it would be so sad i never cry watching movies and tv series but i would seriously cry if that happened
Assuming the spoiler information is true, I kind of like this development. Morgan gets the intersect by accident but Chuck is special and it only works well for him. This has been a theme of the show.
Another possibility is that Beckman meant for Chuck to get the intersect re-load, but Decker sabotaged the intersect software. Decker’s plan was to destroy/hurt/manipulate (not sure?) Chuck, but Morgan got the intersect instead…
Mel said that Zac spilled the beans in a recent interview. Zac said that Morgan’s intersect has a trojan horse virus. I didn’t like Morgan getting the intersect but this twist gives us a much less humorous twist to the story. Morgan got something bad that was meant for Chuck with a serious potential impact. How the team deals with this and how Morgan is impacted becomes a major story line.
Really? A virus in Morgan’s intersect? Maybe this whole Morgansect thing will actually be interesting!
But wait! What if, for some reason, Chuck gets the glasses intersect up and running and chooses to download the glasses/virus intersect?
Saying that happens, I wonder if he’ll have to make the heroic choice of re-downloading the Virus-sect in order to save everyone…

I knew it, Morgan can´t handle the Intersect after all. Chuck is indeed special.

i believe that the intersect will eventually be extracted from morgana and downloaded back into chuck. the only way this seems to be possible is if beckman sends chuck another pair of glasses or if orion’s laptop still contains another intersect (hopefully intersect 3.0 which will be something completely different from the 2.0 that chuck had before). its so sad considering that the end of season four seemed amazing and then morgan gets the intersect instead of chuck making everything go downhill at least in my opinion.
all i can say is that it is saddening that chuck is coming to an end 🙁
