Yvonne Strahovski and Joshua Gomez Tweeted a photo from the set today of the Chuck cast giving 10 thumbs down to just 10 days left filming the series (they wrap on December 7).
Adam Baldwin, Sarah Lancaster, Joshua Gomez, Yvonne Strahovski and Zachary Levi put on their sad faces as they filmed episode 5.12 today. Sad indeed, but can we take a minute to speculate on this photo? First, Josh is in tactical gear as is Casey and possibly Chuck. Ellie and Sarah appear to be in civilian wardrobe, more or less. Second, Ellie is present! Carmichael Industries appears to be on a mission, with Ellie! Third, they’re filming in the residential area of the Warner Bros. lot which…I don’t know what that means.
What can you glean from this photo?
So sad.. I don’t know what’s going on here, but it makes the end being near all too real. 🙁
Isn’t the house behind Zach and Yvonne the one they used as Sarah’s dream house in Chuck vs. the Zoom?
You may be correct, Gambs. I’m trying to remember the house from when I was on the lot; it’s the one where the Chuck writers have their offices.
I think the dream house had a white picket fence, and that she specifically mentioned the fence as part of the dream. If it is the same house in the photo, the fence seems to have been removed.

It is 5.12; I just updated that in the post. Been getting intel on 5.11, so my mind was on that episode.

I am so glad that I bought Kleenex. They were on sale at Walgreen’s, so I’ve officially opened them. I have 6 more boxes left. That better hold me over. Is it more ominous that “Awesome” isn’t in the pic?

They were planned as separate episodes, but part of the same arc.

But, where’s Awesome? Looks like Ellie may be on a mission with Team Carmichael, but I wonder where Devon is.
The reason why Awesome is not in the picture is because they only need 10 thumbs down for the 10 days left to filming the series 🙂
Maybe it’s the only 10 thumbs remaining as awesome and the others have bit it against the big baddies heading into the final episodes…. Muwahaahaha.. 😉
Maybe they’re just filming the scene where they’re moving furniture into the dream house. That would explain their attire and bruises. Or perhaps I just have had bad experiences moving furniture.
Chuck will continue or chuck fans will go to war with NBC! Boycotting all nbc shows and sponsors forever!! Chuck fans need to start boycotting NOW!!, and email, tweet ect.. nbc to let tnhem know how we feel about our favorite show (Chuck)!!!! Remember sponsors pay the bills for chuck, so attack the sponsors everyone. WE HAVE MORE POWER THAN MOST PEOPLE UNDERSTAND!!!
Mike, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but this is the end for the TV series. We had 5 seasons, a respectable run, and now it’s time for us to enjoy the remaining episodes before waving farewell.
Agree with Mel…not to mention the fact that what, 3 million or so people watch live? Seriously a boycott of any of the sponsors wouldnt even make a dent, and really the sponsors are still the ones supporting Chuck. This was NBC’s decision and one I actually respect. As much as I love the show, it wasn’t pulling the ratings NBC needs and honestly if it were on any other network, it would have been canceled after S2. So I actually say thank you to NBC for keeping it around as long as it has.

Everybody thought Star Trek was done in 1969 when the orignal series was cancelled by the same network NBC. It was reborn again in 10 feature films and four more TV series. So I will be looking forward to Chuck the Next Generation set 20 years from now the new will follow young Charles Stephen Bartowski who accidently downloads a new intersect program created by his aunt Ellie and meant for his father Chuck
So long as we don’t get a spin-off set earlier than Chuck as the first voyages of the mind altering Intersect. The first flash, the first time it’s used against baddies, the first handlers to work with an intersect. Hey… if you want your Star Trek tie in maybe we’ll get Scott Bakula to come back and be the “first” Intersect before Chuck had it (grin).
Then all we need is a bald intersect in the next generation series, a cool father and his son hanging around some new flashy top secret “wormhole” intersect and finally we can top it off with a woman intersect just trying to get home to her family only to find that the people she’s been with all along were family….
I’ve got future Chucks all mapped out my friend… 😉 lol
I agree, NBC had every right to cancel after season 2, but they didn’t. So I am grateful they have kept CHUCK on air for this long, and that we get a proper ending.

I think Ellie might be wearing a camouflage top (so she is definitely not playing her Doctor or typical Mom role). It is so sad that Chuck is ending. I hope they can do a movie. (Maybe make it a yearly Christmas event on TV… LOL).
I just discovered Chuck last summer online, and I have fallen in love with the show… only to find out it is ending.
I am not a huge TV watcher, but I have made it a point to turn Chuck on.
This is truly one of the best shows I have seen in years, and it’s one I can watch with the whole family.
i guess I’ll have to rent the series from season 1, and have Chuck marathons with the kids on cold weekends.
Too bad it wasn’t promoted better. It’s a high quality show that could have been the best on TV.

Neither of the houses in this photo have the same color or roof design as Sarah’s dream house that we saw in episode 1. That house had white siding and black shutters as I recall.
