Chuck vs. the Podcast 102: The Final Countdown

“Chuck vs. the Bullet Train” was an absolute roller coaster. It kept us at the edge of our seats, right to the bitter end… literally! What will happen to Sarah? Will the sinister Quinn succeed at stealing Chuck’s life away?

We only have two back-to-back episodes to find out, and then Chuck is gone for good. And that brings up something important to consider… As fans of the show, Chuck and its cast and crew (both on and off screen) have become like close friends. It may seem odd to describe it this way, but you may indeed be experiencing extreme emotions of real grief. We devote some time in the podcast to talking about what this grief might look like, and how we can help each other get through it.

This will be an exciting week… watch ChuckTV.net for some amazing give-aways, including actual wardrobe pieces from the show. Also, ChuckTV.net, CNN.com, NBC.com and many other websites will be having special features this week. Here are just a few:

  1. Whoa, check around the 2 minute mark… Mel’s screen is flashing encoded images, and whoa, check her fact during it!

    Do you know Kung-Fu now?

  2. Hi Benfoleyukulele,

yes, there was something up with Mel’s webcam around that point. Perhaps it was transmitting a coded intersect alongside her video signal… Do you know kung fu now? Careful your memory doesn’t get erased!

    😉

    Cheers,
    Gray.

  3. Really enjoyed the podcast. It was a clever opening too!! I agree Mel, with you assessment that Ellie and Awesome will somehow work for the government in some capacity. Maybe furthering her dad’s research on the Intersect? I am seeing one last encore for Jeffster! As for Casey, I think he bids adieu to Chuck, and hopefully has an even more brilliant career and one that will Gertrude. As for Chuck and Sarah, I know you initially thought Sarah might be preggers in ep 12, and the loss would be the Buy More and Castle, but the loss I think was more “tragic,” so I think preggers is out (insert my grief here), and memory loss is in 🙁 Won’t be watching it live because I’m taking the coward’s way out and waiting till I hear reviews and specific spoilers indicating how things end, but part of my grief is that you, Gray and Liz won’t be around every week to calm my fears.

Thanks for everything. I feel like I made new friends!!

  4. I’m not sure I agree that Sarah’s memories have merely been suppressed. Quinn said that he was removing the INTERSECT through suppression, but I don’t think the “Flash-cards,” were said suppressors, I feel that he was intentionally removing Sarah’s memory for his own personal gain in order to ensure that she wouldn’t question the hit order on Chuck. Morgan has yet to regain his lost memory which makes me think that Sarah’s too are gone for good. Hopefully I’m wrong because I’d love to see Sarah experience an emotional trigger that allows her to remember her life with Chuck.

  5. In the promo, when Chuck was holding the glasses, it looked like he was on a rooftop with Sarah. Just as in the very first episode. And isn’t that where he was told by Sarah that he was the intersect? So I wonder if he’s going to put those glasses on.

  6. I hope Sarah dose get her memories back when Quinn parted part of the train with him and Sarah on the look on Chuck & Sarah’s faces with the real tears in their eyes was so sad i hope we gat a happy ending .

THANKS MEL LIZ AND GRAY FOR THE PODCAST I WILL MISS IT AND THANKS FOR THE THE POSTINGS

  7. First of all greetings from Germany and many, many thanks for your great work.
Take a look here everyday, will miss it nearly as much as Chuck:-(

I hate to contradict Mel in my first post but Sil is right.
    These are Quinns words:
“We will remove it (the intersect) with a suppression device….”
“I know you lose memory when you flash……, for you the cards are stimulant (to flash)”

But in the big things I agree with Mel:-). Sarah will regain her memory, no way this will end bad…perhaps the picture Chuck has drawn will help her to remember… okay, too easy…but the end will be wonderful, heartwarming, dramatic and funny.

  8. Thanks for the podcast and special thanks for that grief part. This really feels like someone close dying.

  9. Thanks for all the things you guys do and have done in producing Chuck vs the Podcast. It has been enjoyable:)

  10. Thanks for the podcasts!! I have enjoyed them!! I especially enjoyed how much you laughed about Lester’s Canadian references from this episode; about as much as I did. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed out loud at anything as much as I have at Chuck in it’s totality!! 🙂

  11. @Sil and Markus: with all due respect, I’m going to agree with Mel for the simple fact that she knows this show inside out and over the past 5 years has had an excellent record in figuring out what’s going on. 😉
