  1. 🙂

Mel, when is the next podcast coming out and will it be the last one? If not, how many more? Will there be anymore interviews with the cast or crew?

    • We’re recording it in about 5 minutes, and it should be out Monday or Tuesday. We’ll have at least 2 more after that, including an interview with Fedak next month.

      • So cool! Thanks, Mel! 🙂

      • Mel do you mind asking him about why we didn’t get to see chuck and Sarah In the dream house? I think alot of peoples wanna know that 🙁

      • And also if she gets her memories back, is a good question.

Thanks Mel for updating and really great to here that we could get couple more podcasts. They are really great to watch 🙂

      • I would appreciate it if you could also ask him why Chuck never showed the drawing of them in front of the house to Sarah when she was in the chair. That was a perfect chance to do it and it didn’t happen. Some people are saying that not doing that was nearly unforgivable and I can’t say I disagree.

      • As I said in the podcast, we’ll post a call for questions in a couple of weeks. Save up your requests and keep an eye out for that!

  2. wooow nice numbers! in the next couple of days the number will grow 🙂

  3. Now we are going into a deep breath before the plunge.
With that I mean the movie should air!

  4. what are the chances of a movie? or maybe an extra episode in the DVD of Season 5? I have nothing against the final or the last episodes but sure I want more 🙁

    • I agree. That would be a great question to ask him. Some more closure with extra scenes that they had to cut sure would be nice. I just need more Chuck, I’m going through pretty bad withdrawal right now. I feel a giant hole in my stomach, I haven’t eaten since before yesterday’s finale, and all I can think about is whether Sarah got her memories back or not.

      • Oh man I know how you feel. I’ve been crying on and off for the last few days. And my stomach feels the same way. Just empty. It’s like I feel hungry but I don’t want to eat. Right now it’s really hard because half of me wants to erase the finale from my memory and the other half of me doesn’t want to forget it. I’ve heard that the original cut of the finale was like an hour too long. I think he should give us the whole thing, not just 8 minutes of it. It’s the series finale. We deserve to have the whole thing.

    • Id say the chances of a movie are slim to none. It would have to make money for WB (or whoever they would be willing to license the rights to) and I just dont see that happening with Chuck’s pitiful ratings this season. Zac spoke of an online only movie but I honestly feel like that’s wishful thinking on his part. The impressions both Zac and Yvonne have given me in interviews was that they werent overly happy with how their characters journey’s ended. Extras on the DVD maybe, but I doubt they would give us stuff that is supposed to occur after the ending they had for the finale. F and S want to keep their (disappointing cop out) ending.

      • A straight to DVD movie…….very slim. ” Stargate SG-1 ” did a
couple but that show has a far bigger fan base. Season Five DVD
Would be more promising , an alternate ending could be done
easily at minimal cost for 5-13. Even easier would be a flash forward
Photo montage showing Chuck and Sarah with their kids. Never
        Give up hope !

      • I try not to Carmicheal52 but I feel like the ending we got last night is all we’re ever going to get. I would love a photo montage on the DVD but based on interviews Ive read so far with F and S, it seems like they at least (though certainly not the majority of the fan base) are happy with “letting us use our imaginations and make up our own ending”…which again I feel is an extremely cliched cop out from them. I guess I will hope for something on the S5 DVD but Im not optimistic. Its frustrating because I really was at peace with the show ending last night…like, I felt I didnt need more, the show had a good run, ect…until those last 5 minutes. It just left me really disappointed in F and S that they would give us an ending like that after all these years of fighting with them to keep the show going.

Not surprised by F&S, they seem to love the generation of angst regardless of how it impacts the fans. I was hooked and had to finish watching the series but will avoid anything F&S are associated with in the future. Overall I thought the cast did a great job. I am looking forward to the podcast. I really hope most of the fans are not as disappointed as I am, it truly did ruin the whole series. F&S deserve some heat for this. My dvd’s will be getting very dusty.

  6. So happy to hear that the ratings for these last episodes were up. They’re equal to, or better than, ratings for some NBC shows that are being renewed, which makes me even more depressed that this is the end of the series…I guess I’m still in the grieving stages which is another topic I know,…(please don’t bump me out for going slightly off-topic). I really am glad that ‘Chuck’ went out on a high note as far as ratings are concerned.

Does this mean that Greenblatt will realize that the masses were alerted?

  7. Just fiinished watching the last Two episodes. Wow!!! what a way to end a show could not bring myself to watch it live too many comercials besides didn’t want to get all teary in front of my wife she would only tease me about it. I’m glad to see that the ratings are up for this last taste of something that was pretty spectacular and when the pvr and online results are in it will show that we fans did not give up on “our show”.

  8. With a strong finish like this, that may leave open the possibility for something more either an online-only movie you pay for (which I gladly would) or a television movie of some sorts. I don’t see this as a feature possibility in the theaters. Although the closest thing to Chuck was Get Smart and that spawned a couple of movies so Never Say Never….

  9. I was hoping the finale would garner a higher viewing for the last and final time. I really didn’t know what to expect from the final two episodes of Chuck. Watching them was so strange because I’ve never watched a show from start to finish before. Adding in the fact that I was watching the ending of Chuck, in the exact room where I first saw Chuck. I thought the ending was fitting for how the last episodes went. Ideally I would have liked Orion, or Bryce to somehow come back one last time, but oh well. I thought the ending was perfect though, just Chuck and Sarah. And that last song was perfect as well.

  10. It was awesome!!! I will miss Chuck do much.

  11. thank you Chucksters for showing up one last time.

    CHUCK 4evr!!!!!!

  12. I really loved this show, “Chuck” because I think every normal woman would want to have a one woman-man that was there for her in every way and truly loved her. Any woman would be proud to have a gentleman with those characteristics and qualities. That makes for a long relationship and marriage. I’ve seen it in my family and it’s a “good feeling”. “Chuck” was a feel-good show with a lot of action. The
chemistry between Sarah & Chuck was terrific!!!!!

    Holly Carroll

  13. Sarah does get her memory back!! The several times she’ remembered things (i.e. Irene Demova Virus from five years ago) proves the memories are still there, they just need time to resurface. Her viewing of her missions log DVD will also help.

The most satisfying answer to Sarah and Chuck resuming their blissfully ‘lovable genius guy nerd/sexy genius girl spy’ marriage, is revealed at the end of the finale. When Sarah asks Chuck to tell a/their story, she is inviting him closer into her emotional life is a very meaningful request. It means she wants to know.

Sarah told Chuck to “kiss me”, the deal was pretty much sealed. But there’s more. As the camera panned back, showing them on the beach, STILL KISSING …well, would a woman that still felt threatened and confused, be ‘still kissing? Hardly! Believe me when I tell you, Chuck and Sarah are madly in love, buying that house, and making a baby …even as we wish them the very best. Great series!!

  14. So 200,000 people just tuned in for the second hour? Huh.

  15. Just got watching the last two episodes there and it was a really good ending to the show. Though I hate the feeling of that it’s over.

Hopefully those final ratings or the Season 5 DVD sales get the crew to start thinking of another season or a film at least.

  16. I had a feeling ratings would be up when I saw so many users on the NBC boards after the show.

It was like the Chuck NBC boards from S3. Unfortunately, plenty were upset with the finale.
I personally thought the last 3 episodes are amongst the best Chuck episodes ever, but it seems on thing TPTB have a knack for is polarizing the fans.

  17. I was really disappointed by Chuck’s last episode . Loved the show throughout but never expected it to end this way. Where’s the happy ending everyone was expecting? Practically everyone splits up, we don’t know whether Sarah will recover her memories and if she will ever be in love with him again. How sad! I thought she would recognize the drawing Chuck had made on the bullet train, get her memory back and discover she was pregnant , with a “they lived happily everafter” ending. Hope there will be a season 6 to fix this and see the whole team get back together.
