Zachary Levi & Joel David Moore on the set of LET IT GO

FOX Passes On Zachary Levi Comedy Pilot LET IT GO (UPDATED)

FOX announced several pilot pickups today, and even though Zachary Levi’s new project, Let It Go, wasn’t one of the comedies on the list, I was hoping that announcement might come tomorrow after they finalized agreements or something. Alas, it’s not to be. Zac tweeted tonight that FOX has officially passed on Let It Go.

Bummer news, but perhaps this will free up Zac’s schedule for something even more awesome? Whatever he does next, we’ll be sure to keep you updated!

Updated – 5/10/12: According to Variety ABC is taking a look at Let It Go. We’ll keep you posted on their decision as the word comes in. Stay tuned!

  1. What are the chances of another network picking the pilot/show up?

  2. I’m not surprised nor am I disappointed. The creator of this series has a history of lame television shows and I feared Zac signed on to another one of them. It appears like he did. This frees him up to do motion pictures or find another series helmed by writers who are actually talented and creative. Hopefully real soon.

  3. To be honest, i don’t think this was the right show for him, im sure their is something much better for him to do.

  4. I guess maybe this can free him up for Chuck: The Movie now…

  5. I’d love to see him work with Joss Whedon. He Could be (an older) Xander in a Buffy reboot or something!

  6. This just means his still available for the Chuck movie this fall yea I know wishfull thinking

    • Well, I just read that The Finder is cancelled too, so that means Zondra can be in the Chuck movie as well.

  7. will we be able to see this pilot?

    • Unlikely since it won’t ever air on TV, but sometimes pilots get leaked on YouTube. If it does, we’ll post it.

  8. Was actually excited to check this thing out, my Fridays of being CHUCKless have taken a tole on me. Fingers crossed that the CHUCK movie somehow goes into development now.

  9. I am not sad about this. I think Zac is due, and deserves, a more serious leading man role. He has too much talent in different areas to be stuck on a comedy sitcom. The Big Screen for him!

  10. It’s not a disaster is this show doesn’t get picked up.

I was really hoping Zac would do some Broadway after Chuck. We’ve heard so much about him growing up doing theater, it would be great to actually see him on stage.

  11. TBS just picked up ABC’s cancelled “Cougar Town”. Maybe it’s time for season six of “Chuck” at a new location. That will give Zac something to do with his time.

    • Unless WB even WANTS to revive Chuck, it’s not going to happen.

The only thing that will make them do that is to see that Chuck can make money for them.

This is why it is so important for every fan to purchase Chuck DVD’s, merchandise, or anything they can purchase that WB can see on their bottom line.

  12. Copy that on buying the merchandise. As to the WB angle, Fedak & Schwartz got WB interested in the show way back when, and the deal was forged. If WB is given right of first refusal and expresses no further interest, F/S could pitch the show elsewhere. That assumes that F/S still have any interest in the show, Schwartz’s attention may now be on “Hart of Dixie”….not sure what Fedak is working on.

    • Schwartz also Executive Produces Gossip Girl, and has 2 other shows that just got picked up by the CW. He and Fedak are working on a movie (not Chuck) and Fedak is working on a couple of other projects as well. It will be at least another year before a Chuck movie gets serious attention.

      • In the meantime maybe Zac can be Zoe’s love interest on Hart of Dixie. We are not big supporter of Zoe and Wade and George is a bit boring.
