The 2013 Theatre World Awards, which recognize outstanding Broadway and off-Broadway debut performances, have been announced, and our own Yvonne is among the honorees! Yvonne is being awarded for her Broadway debut as Lorna in Golden Boy last autumn/winter.
Other winners include Tom Hanks and Tom Sturridge who also made the transition from film to theater. The awards will be presented at The Music Box theater on June 3.

I was fortunate to see Yvonne’s magnificent portrayal of Lorna Moon on two occasions.She was unlucky not to receive a Tony nomination on the basis of reviews of her performance.Thankfully the Theatre Awards for outstanding debut are bestowed by actual theatre critics and not nominating committees which are purely arbitrary.
This honour is so well deserved and hopefully the first of many!!
