Chris Fedak Signs on to Exec Produce ABC’s “FOREVER”

Chuck co-creator and executive producer Chris Fedak will be overseeing a new series this fall: ABC’s Forever, starring Ioan Gruffudd.

Deadline reports that Fedak will join the show as an executive producer, reuniting with Forever creator/executive producer Matt Miller, another former Chuck writer/executive producer. (Miller also co-created the CW’s sci-fi hit The 100 which was renewed for a second season.) This is part of a new two-year deal Fedak has with Warner Bros. TV which includes developing new projects.

Here’s the official synopsis for the show, which debuts on ABC this fall:

Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner, has a secret. He doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases, he does it to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years-the answer to his own inexplicable immortality. This long life has given Henry remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). Each week, a new case and their budding friendship will reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Only his best friend and confidant, Abe (Judd Hirsch) knows Henry’s secret.

“Forever” stars Ioan Gruffudd as Henry, Alana De La Garza as Det. Jo Martinez, Barbara Eve Harris as Lt. Marcia Roark, Donnie Keshawarz as Detective Hanson, Joel David Moore as Lucas, and Judd Hirsch as Abe.

I was already interested in Forever, because Ioan Gruffudd. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about. Erase Fantastic Four from your memory and go back to The Forsyte Saga, Horatio Hornblower, Amazing Grace…yeah, you know why. Add Miller and Fedak to the creative mix, and I’m definitely checking out at least the first few episodes.
