Chucktoid: Chuck Is…Abraham?

Introducing a new series of mini insights into Chuck – Chucktoids, if you will – courtesy of G. Walter Bush, author of Unpacking Chuck and Unpacking Chuck 2.0.

Chuck displays subtle parallels to the book of Genesis’ Abraham. The series begins with him ‘shepherding’ a flock of misfits at the local Nerd Herd desk before being “chosen” to receive the Intersect. Later, he also takes a wife named Sarah who initially scoffs at the idea of having children.

  1. I think that the key here is “subtle parallels”. I agree that there are similarities. I also think that Mr. Bush’s books are exceptional. The books and the insights contained in them have allowed me to experience Chuck in a deeper way, and has made re-watching Chuck much more enjoyable. My wife and I have had many fun conversations around the chapters in his books while re-watching Chuck.

  2. Hooray! Glad to see someone else is still a fan.
