Chucktoid: Sarah vs. the Alarm Clock

Introducing a new series of mini insights into Chuck – Chucktoids, if you will – courtesy of G. Walter Bush, author of Unpacking Chuck and Unpacking Chuck 2.0.

Sarah’s oversleeping, wearing an eye mask, & angrily knifing her clock the morning after choosing to stay in Burbank rather than leave to join Bryce is metaphorical. Not yet able to fully face the primary motive behind her decision, the balance of S1 presents a slow and at times difficult awakening (especially the rest of “vs. Crown Vic”) to the depth of her developing feelings for Chuck and loss of internal control.
