Zachary Levi Returns to Broadway in “She Loves Me”

Zachary Levi returns to Broadway this month in the revival of She Loves Me, the musical romantic comedy inspired by the same French play that produced the movies Shop Around the Corner and You’ve Got Mail.

Set in 1930s Europe, the story follows Georg (Zachary Levi) and Amalia (Tony winner Laura Benanti), a pair of bickering perfumery employees who also happen to be anonymous pen pals. Also starring are Broadway veterans Jane Krakowski (you may recognize her from 30 Rock) as seductive clerk Ilona and Gavin Creel as Kodaly, a womanizer.

The New York Times has a conversation with all four of the actors about the project, and EW has a series of great photos from previews. She Loves Me opens its limited run on March 17 at Broadway’s Studio 54. It will play through June 12. Showtimes, tickets and more available here.
