PREVIEW: “Chuck vs. First Class” Plus Win a Chuck Press Kit!

This week on Chuck we learn more about Shaw, Chuck goes on his first solo mission, Stone Cold Steve Austin stops by, and Kristin Kreuk’s Hannah arrives on the scene. Plus we get an homage to an Adam Baldwin movie from Casey. Good times! Here’s the official synopsis for “Chuck vs. First Class”, airing tonight at 8/7c on NBC:

CIA agent Daniel Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) assigns Chuck to his first solo mission in Paris, ignoring Sarah and Casey’s wishes. During the flight to France, Chuck befriends Hannah (guest star Kristin Kreuk) and flashes on another passenger — the imposing Hugo Panzer (guest star “Stone Cold” Steve Austin). Meanwhile, Casey helps Morgan battle Jeff and Lester for control of the Buy More.

TV By The Numbers Looking for Help With Their Chuck Contest.

TV By The Numbers(TVBTN) is a web site run by Bill Gorman and Robert Seidman. They track the ratings for television show and based on those, prognosticate about the shelf life of various shows. The focus is on network shows because hard data is available due to the Neilsen Ratings. For further explanations of what the site is all about head over to the site where they explain everything.

In regards to Chuck, Mel interviewed Robert Seidman which you can listen to in Podcast 34. In that interview Robert answered some common ratings questions and talked about what kind of numbers Chuck needs to go past the third season.

Leading up to the premiere of Chuck, TVBTN has gotten its hands on some pretty cool Chuck swag. As per the site the prizes are most excellent:

Stream ‘Chuck’ Episodes and Win! (GIVEAWAY)

We’re happy to announce that the first half of Chuck season 2 will be available at NBC.com and Hulu.com beginning at 12:01AM on Saturday, August 15. This lines up nicely with our Chuck Me Mondays schedule, and for that we thank The Powers That Be at NBC and Warner Bros.

UPDATED 08.18.09: NBC ran into some issues with releasing those episodes in a secure manner so had to push them back a bit. They assured us that they’re working on getting the up as quickly as possible.

Chuck Me Mondays: “Chuck vs. the Sandworm” (Giveaway!)

HALLOWEEN – Chuck (Zachary Levi) accidentally runs into a fellow government agent who seems to be living a similar life. It turns out this agent is a gadget whiz, whose brain makes him a national security asset and a dangerous liability, much like Chuck. Chuck faces a predicament whether he should help turn this agent into Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) or help this agent escape his handlers. Meanwhile, Halloween, a holiday that means a lot to Chuck and Morgan (Joshua Gomez) as buddies, proves to be a little different this year as Morgan feels that Chuck is neglecting both their childhood and friendship.

‘Chuck’ Cast, Creative Team Thank Fans & Talk Finale on Chuck vs. the Podcast

As fans of NBC’s critically acclaimed show CHUCK continue to rally behind the show and ask NBC for a third season, a star-studded lineup from the cast and creative team came together to thank the fans for their efforts on Chuck vs. the Podcast leading up to the season finale, airing Monday, April 27th. From London, New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles, they were all eager to reach out and share their gratitude for the fan campaigns, excitement about the finale, and passion for the show.

“The grassroots campaigns to save CHUCK have been nothing short of remarkable,” says series lead Zachary Levi, calling from London. “It means so much to know that the fans are doing so much to keep the show on the air.”

Adam Baldwin, who plays gruff Colonel John Casey, expresses his gratitude as well. “I think the campaign by the fans for the renewal is very helpful, and I appreciate all the support that’s out there.”

The cast and creative team gave a few clues about what to expect in the season finale as well, promising an episode that will thrill fans and whet appetites for a third season.

“It’s going to be epic,” promises Joshua Gomez, who plays Morgan Grimes. “Whether you’ve been watching the whole time or not, you’re going to get your money’s worth. I think people are going to be really excited when they see it.”

“The finale is going to be a game changer,” teases Ryan McPartlin, aka Captain Awesome. “The finale is going to get the fans’ mouths watering for a third season.” McPartlin also discusses his excitement at fan reaction for the penultimate episode of CHUCK, and how he plans to join the fans in the campaign for a third season.

Other highlights include Bonita Friedericy (General Diane Beckman) talking about the strong female characters on the show; Tony Hale (Emmett Millbarge) talking about how important CHUCK is as a family show that all ages can safely watch; and writers Ali Adler, Phil Klemmer and Scott Rosenbaum talking about their plans for season 3.

This episode of Chuck vs. the Podcast will be released at 6PM ET on Friday, April 24th on www.chuckpodcast.com and iTunes.
