Chris Fedak Goes Horror for Syfy

EW reports that Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak has sold a horror series to Syfy called The Woods. Information is scarce, but EW does have a brief description of the show:

A young woman returns to the mysterious wooded mansion her sister disappeared from when they were girls, only to learn that the sinister beings that took her sister are still there.

The deal with Syfy is to develop the project for the network with Fedak serving as executive producer, along with Liz Phang (who also wrote the script), Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.

This is the second project Fedak has in development. I have to admit, I’m a little more intrigued by this one and I don’t really go for horror. What do you think?

Note: This is not an invitation to bash the project, the creator, or rehash the Chuck finale for the millionth time. I’m thisclose to removing the comment option altogether. It’s a privilege, not a right.

  1. Whenever you have a new project, you never know what the end result will be, however, I loved the characters and “world” in “Chuck” Hopefully, since Chris Fedak is executive producer, he will bring the same level of quality and creativity to the series. I am not a “horror” person, but a story person. It might be fun to watch?
