That would definitely up the geek factor of the movie, as if it needed it.  But a great choice for the role of Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel.

Yeah, that wouldn't work, every moviescreen around the world would melt :)

But if it's true it's more likely just a cameo as Carol Danvers not Ms Marvel.

There were quite a few blog post articles about YS playing Ms Marvel on a few sites the other year, so it might just stem from that ie some one like Yvonne Strahovski might be suitable for this character.
