Pretty much alright again.  Kinda typical of what Chuck is now, just one of many decent shows that are worth watching to be entertained, but nothing more than that.

The whodunit was about as hard to work out as the murderer in any episode of Columbo.  As soon as Damian survived the explosion, it was obvious he was the killer.  In fact, the only small doubt I had was that they had already done the least-obvious-culprit-being-the-guilty-party angle a few episodes ago in vs the Cat Squad, so it seemed unlikely they'd use it again so very soon.  ::)

The Ellie stuff was potentially interesting, but ultimately this was just another episode that was just 'there'.  You watch it.  You forget it.  And that's it.

Did my usual rewatch and as form every episode this season its even better the second time round. Lots of fun and that was the best BuyMore story of the season. And I will say this once again that my favorite BuyMoron is Big Mike. Jeff and Lester I could care less about but I love me some Big Mike. You can tell he is a real comedian as his timing and delivery are just so spot on. Love the job satisfaction line.

Lots of other stuff to love but I'm glad that Devon let his wife follow her path. Now it wasn't the end of clueless Ellie but it is definitely headed that way finally. What I see happening is is that obviously Chuck is Agent X and what this is the final realization of what Stephen said to young Ellie about there was nothing they could not do when they worked together. He wants them to work together to follow his research and follow in the familt journey together. The scanning of Ellie was activated by her work and it waited for a time to confirm it was her that was actually doing it before it released the encrypted files on Chuck that she will need to continue his work. She will eventually come to realize, probably in 4.22 that Chuck is Agent X and the families work will really begin in earnest.

Ellie Bartowski gets it. She is the one who can understand the genius that was her father and his work and will put it together with Chuck to improve and make him an even better Intersect. I really like this journey. This episode was another piece in the puzzle. If I had anything to complain about is that there wasn't enough Sarah but what we got was great as usual. Her going after the girl when she made a comment about being a fiance, she supported Chuck and loves that he believes in them as a team and that it is the 3 of them that make it work.

All in all a very good episode again. Season 4 really has been stellar!

Well said Uplink, totally agree with you! Enjoyed the episode.. can't wait for the final 4

Interesting that you found it so predictable that Damian was the killer. We had a poll in the live chat, and there were a LOT of people there. Everyone was amused after the reveal that not one person had chosen him as the killer. Not one.  :D

A good episode, I enjoyed. Haven't got much more to that; I liked all aspects of it :)

you have a point about that.  When the poll was finished I briefly thought "you know since no one picked him he's probably the killer" but it still was a surprise to me til right before the end.

EDIT: Sorry bout putting the speculation in happydayz will try to do better next time. :)

Loved the episode! One of the few spy stories where I've been unable to predict the ending! Best use of the Buy Morons for a long time, same can be said for Ellie. Beyond excited for the possibility of an Intersect 3.0!!!

Now for the wait :S

Well, not my favourite episode but a solid and suspensful episode. I didn't expect Damian to be the killer, so for me it was a total surprise. I felt for Givens when she went in that room with he bomb.

What I liked:
Suspense. And the murder story.
The recruiting scene at the beginning.
The team scene at the end.
Chucks ring tone used by his chosen one. ;)
Casey and Sarahs supportiveness. And the scene with the three of them at the ending.
Ellies new story.
This is one thing that comes not often from my side but: The buy more story. The pig vs. Big Mike lol
I just love the VV-theme.

What I didn't like:
Sarah wasn't used enough. I understand that she can't be the star of every episode. But I missed some elements about her in the last couple of episodes, Mainly her kickassness. And since she didn't have much dialogue either in this episode, I missed her.

The episode felt a little bit too fast-paced and was therefore confusing. At the beginning there were too many people in the room.

Sums up most of my feelings about this ep as well. The Givens scene was a very nice touch...illustrates how perception of a character can change drastically with just one little moment.

No worries. I know you're still getting familiar with the forum. The episode threads are strictly "no spoiler", as many of the posters and readers here try to remain spoiler free. If you see a point you want to discuss with spoilers, you can always feel free to take the idea over to the spoiler or speculation threads and pick it up there.  :)

I'm not sure how many participated in the poll, but there were hundreds in the room, so thought it very interesting that no one guessed Damian.

One of the things I saw, which may or may not be significant, ::) is what they showed when Chuck figured out who the killer was. It was almost a slow motion of an Intersect flash.  I don't know if they were just showing how Chuck's mind works, or if they were showing a new capability of the Intersect that Chuck is unconsciously using.

And in reverse! He was remembering in reverse order. But yeah, I understand what you mean. Is that an intersect thing? Or were they just showing us Chuck's 'aha' moment?

By the way, if I am not completely forgetting something here,  I think it's the first time that Chuck called Sarah his fiancee.

I don't know about what other people think about this episode, but for me it was AWESOME and AMAZING episode  and I totally LOVED it. This episode is definitely included in my top 3, It's just that everything in this episode was totally entertaining. I am a SUPER fan of Chuck and Sarah's relationship so everytime there was no intimate scene between those two in an episode it'll just become weak for me and this episode don't really have one like last week but I really liked the scene where Chuck and Sarah was walking behind Casey holding hands and when Sarah placed her feet on Chuck's lap, it was so cute and sweet.

Those scenes with Kevin bacon totally cracked me up. I also liked the plot of finding who's the murderer and the scene where Chuck found and as soon as he started telling them who he thinks did it, it was like I was watching NCIS but with different characters with lighter and much more fun tone, Chuck was like Gibbs there for a minute. Though it never crossed my mind that it was Damian I thought it was the girl(sorry forgot her name).

About the last scene with Ellie it was interesting it just rises my eagerness to watch the next episode but sadly I have to wait 3 weeks ;(. I will just do a rewatch on this ep. then I'll do Chuck marathon back from season 1-present until the new episode airs.

PS.
I just wonder are they drinking milk in the living room?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was my 1st time to see them 3 together after a long day of mission (should I call it a mission)?. Usually it is only Chuck and Sarah.
Sarah: Nothing is gonna keep me from coming back to you.

It was a flash.  They performed the traditional eye shot followed by symbols etc before they performed the reverse playbacks.  I think this is the first deductive-type flash I've seen from him.
