Doctor Nerd Surgeon Spy

(1/1)

Srh_Brtwski:
The mischeivous side of me found a way to retcon out the entire memory loss plot:

http://derricksfanfic.blogspot.com/2012/03/doctor-nerd-surgeon-spy.html

It steals a lot from the Doctor Who episode A Christmas Carol and the remake movie Sweet November, but essentially restores all of Sarah's memories, yet allows us to revisit the Chuck + Sarah romance yet again.

Note the story is in a semi-script short form, but should be easy to read.

Also it's a mash-up of Doctor Who and Chuck, with the main character being the Doctor and the companion being Sarah.  I didn't really put Chuck into much of the story.

Warning: the very mischeivous side of me included a PLI for Sarah, but it's so brief you won't notice it.  ;)

This is topical as Christmas is just around the corner and I'd like to say I enjoyed this story very much. You might get more exposure on FanFiction.net and I'd suggest posting it there if you have a chance.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!  :)

I am in the process of converting the story into a format acceptable for Fan Fiction (ie proper English).

With that regard, I am splitting the story into 4 chapters:
1.  Doctor: Told from Sarah's point of view, about how the Doctor entered her life.
2.  Nerd: Told from Chuck's point of view.
3.  Surgeon: Told from Ellie's point of view.
4.  Spy: The final chapter returns to Sarah's point of view.

That way readers will get the story with a "Burn Notice" sort of feel so the characters can tell us exactly what they are thinking.  Plus different bits of each part of the story will be split up over the 4 chapters so readers will have to put the clues together to get the whole story.

Trying also to retool the weak/non-existent spy story into more like the plot from Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Look forward to the tweaked version as well. I wouldn't sweat the proper english too much. One story, who's author I won't mention repeatedly spells decent (Chuck is a decent guy!) as descent. So, perhaps the bar isn't too high!  ;)
