SPOILERS: Rebecca Romijn’s Guest Role Is “Very Important”

Sandra at EW has some Chuck scoop for us in today’s Spoiler Room column. This is for episode 5.06, “Chuck vs. the Curse”, airing December 16 and guest starring Rebecca Romijn.

Chuck scoop please! I don’t like this extended break I’m having to suffer through. — Karen
Breaks are never fun, but at least when the show returns you’ll be treated to an awesome guest spot from Rebecca Romjin, who plays Robyn Cummings, an operative at the CIA who is tied into the plot to destroy Charles Carmichael and his young fledgling company. “And she also has a special skill,” adds executive producer Chris Fedak. “She calls it an art-form — but other people might call it torture.” And even though she’ll only appear in one episode, Fedak says she’ll have an “incredibly important effect on the rest of the season, especially considering the plot we have in motion.” “It’s going to lead into our midseason episode — which is our Christmas episode the week after,” he says. “It’s a very big story and a lot of very exciting things happen. And Agent Cummings is tied into that.”

Chuck vs the Goodbye: 10 Years Later

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Chuck series finale. It feels like a decade …

  1. My guess (I’m never right) is that her impact will be that Chuck will want to get out of the spy life. That is what will happen in the Christmas episode. C/S will talk about starting a family and what their life will look like after they are normal.

I expect the rest of the season to follow that theme.

  2. Bill – wrong? Is that even possible.
I have never know bill to be wrong.
After all Billatplay is never wrong…

oh wait … hmmm might be wrong there…

Even so having just watched all the episodes in season 5 today, I have to admit that that seem a very likely possibility, but I think Sarah might be the one to have the displeasure of the experience. I think that would have a more profound effect than Chuck being tortured.

  3. mystique in chuck sounds interesting

  4. I can see how what BillAtWork is saying might work, especially since in the last episode they were conplaining about not being normal. They could agree to quit but would first have to get their money back from Decker. They’d also still have the Buy More’s profits to live off of.

  5. Bill and JC, using logical explanations to predict Chuck story lines will most times make you incorrect. With that being said, it is the logical conclusion, based on this post that Agent Cummings will torture someone that C/S love and this will lead them to wanting to get out of their high risk lifestyle. But of course, I’m sure Decker won’t stop his quest, and drama/comedy/action will ensue…

  6. Those that know me know my ideas are known 100% crap. (Bill I think can agree to my Crappyness)
However that does not mean we can’t have fun with wild leaps of logical and lots of even wilder speculation. Sometimes it’s fun just to see how far off it can be.
(ps Bill say hi to the ff gang for me, I’m having password issues)

  7. Torture Chuck????

    I don’t think so!!

I think Sarah and Casey will save Chuck just in time:)))

  8. Mel, I have a quick question. I see that NBC.com isn’t allowing us to view new complete episodes online. I checked Hulu and found the same thing. Am I missing something? Will I still be able to see episodes thru my cable’s on demand service?

    • I checked with our cable company’s on demand programs and no Chuck here in the Pacific Northwest. It seems like it is getting harder and harder to find and watch new episodes of Chuck. Luckily we have DVR and Chuck has been shown on Friday nights…. so far anyway.

  9. Just a quick comment, it seems like many of the fans of this website are 40-60 years old and live in either England or the Pacific NW, like myself. Others have made comparison to the final episode of MASH for gosh sakes. No question, all Chuck fans are special.

    • We do have a fair number of fans from England who post here, but geographically we’re a pretty diverse group. In addition, according to our latest fan survey, almost 61% of our readers are age 30 or younger.

  10. My theory is that Robyn Cummings will be the lover of Decker and Casey or Sarah kills her when she tortures Chuck and his brother-in-law. So for the rest of episodes will be a quest for revenge for Decker.

  11. Or maybe, Chuck gets tortured and the trauma, unblocks the Intersect in his head.
In any case it is so sad that we have to say goodbye to such a great series. I wish they could do a movie and bring back the characters.

  12. I think the same as u Em.
