Tonight’s encore episode of Chuck is one of the best of the season so far. Directed by Zachary Levi, Joshua Gomez totally owns this episode. Plus, JEFFSTER! “Chuck vs. the Beard” airs at 8/7c on NBC.
Chuck (Zachary Levi) feels like his life is falling apart when he can’t flash and gets left behind for a mission. While Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh), Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) go on without him, Chuck finds himself in a sticky situation back at the base. Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay and Mark Christopher Lawrence also star.

Scott Rosenbaum has moved on to become the showrunner of V, but he’s left behind some of the best episodes of Chuck, including Chuck vs the Sizzling Shrimp, Chuck vs Santa Claus, and most recently Chuck vs the Beard.
It was a pleasure to speak with him, and learn about his passion for Chuck and also for V. He also shares some cool stories about bringing Morgan into the spy world, and working with Zachary Levi as director.
You can support Scott by watching V on Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC… and of course, please remember to watch Chuck live on Mondays at 8pm on NBC.

Chuck is firing on all cylinders, after the one-two punch of Ali Adler’s “Chuck vs. the Fake Name” and Scott Rosenbaum’s “Chuck vs. the Beard!” The latter, directed by Zachary Levi, was Scott’s last hurrah before heading to be the showrunner for V. Most agree that it was the best of season 3 so far, and many put it in their top 5 for the entire series. On this podcast we talk all about it!

RATINGS: Chuck 3.09 Down a Touch Against Strong Competition
As expected, with a full roster of competition for the first time in weeks, Chuck‘s ratings saw a drop this week. Fast overnight ratings estimate that 6.31 million people watched “Chuck vs. the Beard” last night, pulling a 2.3 in the 18-49 demo. In comparison, last week’s episode drew 6.7 million viewers and a 2.4 in the demo.
(Yes, I’m late with the morning-after duties today; whose bright idea was it to schedule out-of-office appointments on a Tuesday?)
