Robert Patrick to guest star on Chuck

Finally, some Casey-related news! Ausiello confirms that T-1000 himself, Robert Patrick (The Unit, The X-Files), will appear in episode 3.10, “Chuck vs. the Tic Tac”. As we speculated in the podcast that hasn’t come out yet (;)), this will be a Casey-centric episode. Patrick plays Colonel Keller, “a mysterious figure” (are there any other kind on this show?) from Casey’s past.

In this episode we also meet Alex, a young Marine; Kathleen, a strong, independent, attractive woman around 40; and Stanley, a short guy in his mid-30s who is a total geek.

First superman (Brandon) and now T-100 (Patrick). Wow! We got some strong nerd refrences going on here. Nice! S3 is going to be ‘awesome.’ Man if I had a dollar for every time I heard or said that word i’d be rich. :)

  2. OldDarth says:

    Awesome casting!

  3. Alex says:

The first good news(well, Armand Assante is also a good actor) about casting I heard regarding Season 3.
I love Robert Patrick and while T-1000 is iconic, for me it will always be his
Superb (Emmy award nominee and Saturn award winner for best actor)portrayal of John Doggett in the two last seasons of the X-Files.
A great actor and a really nice guy, he would be great in CHUCK also…
(a possible rematch of Doggett versus Knowle Rohrer…lol)

Brandon Routh is also won a Saturn Award for Best Actor. Just saying.. ;)

      • Alex says:

movies are not the same as TV shows, the selecting committee that deals with motion pictures is comprised of external judges as well, while all the TV categories are selected within the Academy itself…which is a much bigger credential for acting achievement , just so you’ll know STARGAZER…David Duchovny never won The Best Actor(Saturn) in any of his seven years in the X-Files and RP did in one, just so you realize how good of an actor Robert Patrick is.

        • stargazer says:

That’s a matter of taste actually, ALEX; some people praise Al Pacino as one of the best ever and I’ve found his acting so over the top in some movies.

  4. Bucko says:

    Agreed on the casting. Fabulous.
But the title – vs. the Tic Tac – has my imagination working overtime.

  5. ises says:

I liked John Dogget. I liked Mulder and I loved Scully.

  6. Gord says:

He is perfect for the role.
Also, my gut is telling me that this Kathleen character is going to be a love interest for Casey.

Chuck just keeps sounding better and better all the time.

I hope this wont upset the shippers too much because I know that they all want a love triangle between Chuck, Sarah and Casey LOL.

    • Alex says:

only in the slash writers dream…and our nightmare(and speaking as an avid shipper…like everybody here knows…lol)

    • Mel says:

I keep thinking the same thing about Kathleen, Gord. I hope she is; he needs an attractive, strong, independent woman to keep him on his toes!

      • stargazer says:

yeah, maybe that’d make him less cranky! :P Aw, but I like his grunting. :D

      • Gord says:

It would be interesting to see Casey on a date. I could just see him being a complete 180 from his normal self – a shy, sweet, considerate, polite, gentleman – no grunting, no one liners and acting like a fish out of water.
It could be so funny, and of course Kathleen would love him for it.

After all there has to be a reason, Ilsa called him Sugar Bear.

  7. Yahooooo! says:

I’m so happy Casey gets more screen time, and we get more background info on his character. Thank you, “Chuck” writers!
