OK, these aren’t really earth-shattering spoilers, more like interesting bits of news, but since they’re from Ausiello’s “spoiler column”, we’ll go with it.

Ausiello: Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak confirms that Anna Wu will be MIA during season 3’s first 13 episodes, but there’s a chance she could pop up in the last six. “We’re still [writing the last] six episodes, so I don’t have anything first on that,†he says. “But I would love for Anna to come back.†Fedak adds that Julia’s absence at Buy More will be referenced early in the season.Question: There’s a $5 tuna foot-long with you and Mister Scooch’s names on it if you can give me any Chuck updates. —Jen
Ausiello: Can you make my half a veggie? If so, you’ve got a deal. Chris Fedak says the six additional episodes that NBC recently tacked on to Chuck’s season 3 total created an interesting storytelling challenge. “[We were faced with] the problem of either expanding the story we’re telling or taking the story and telling it more slowly. And what we essentially decided to do was tell more story. So we’re looking at the six episodes that have been added on as Chuck season 3.2.â€
That last answer should make several people happy, while the first…well, let’s keep hoping Julia Ling pops up in the back 6.
Yeah I want Julia back. She was a sweetie in her inappropriate short skirts. She would have been a good spy.
What will Morgan do without Anna? Maybe Morgan can have a girlfriend that is not a spy and not a buy more person. Morgan heart can be mended by an Anna return and we could have a nerd herd marriage.
Yeh it does kind of suck that anna won’t be bak for the first 13 episodes,she really did cap of the whole nerd herd crew.Does the answer to the second question mean that the storyline they originally created for the first 13 episodes will remain essentially the same?
That is my take on it. They might rework the final part of episode 13 for a smoother transition into S3.2, but I think they are going to keep the 13 episodes pretty much like they had planned. In my opinion, that is the best way to approach it. Slowing down the story just to fit in an extra 6 episodes would probably have resulted in some very substandard episodes.
Chuck me is this going to be a great season of Chuck or what?

Well, I will miss Anna not being in the first thirteen episodes. She, I believe, brings a sense of balance to the unpredictable Nerd Herders. She has a unusual mix of being tough, but also vulnerable.
While I will miss Julia on the show, it makes total sense for Morgan NOT to be able to hang on to a hot babe like that. Ana would most definitely be hit upon by hot guys (Jason Woo anyone?) with working cars and eventually she would figure out that she could do better, like, in a freakin’ heart beat. No offense to Morgan, because I identify with him quite a lot, but reality is reality. I predict great heartbreak for Mr. Grimes. If they leave it as “we’ll be friends” I will be very, very disappointed. It looks like both Chuck and Morgan (Chorgan) will both be growing up this season. Yay!

well pat, i am totally agree with u. me also missed Anna in the first episodes.there’s not a single actress who can replace her.She is a remarkable actress. i watch chuck regularly.
Anna’s character was less and less interesting and less and less dynamic. Even when given something to do, it always kind of fell flat. This show requires spark from its actors, and it just wasn’t there in this case.
will miss Anna, would have preferred them dump Jeffster and the Buy More. Really annoying part of the show
I would have loved to have an Anna Vs Hannah scene, but I imagine Hannah will be long gone by they time S3.2 is around.
I will just be glad to see Anna back, and can’t wait to see what she will do to Morgan.
It’s a good decision to make a 3.2. It won’t be bad for the original 13 and we get more developement.
I’m sorry to see Anna go. I would have loved if they expanded the anna, elli, sarah- friendship stories and I would have loved to see an episode about a girls and boys evening. Without Anna that won’t be possible.
Season 3.2, a fresh slate. Wouldn’t you love to have been sitting around the writer’s room when the news came in of six additional episodes? “Now what?”
This is like getting an additional (albeit short) season of CHUCK and what could be wrong with that? Six eps is pretty good for a story arc, so let’s see what Ali and the rest of the staff come up with. In Ali We Trust!
What a great year 2010 will be.
They say good things always happen in threes, so the next big news will be Chuck renewed for a full 22 episode S4 starting in September/October time frame.
By the way, I think the Sunday night premiere idea is brilliant. A lot of people that watch other shows on Monday nights are going to finally see what they have been missing.
After all, once Football is over, what else is on Sunday nights that is worth watching?
Maybe Casey’s phone call worked and Anna is now training as an agent somewhere 🙂
Now that could make for an interesting homecoming – Anna joining Team Chuck. Not the Nerd Herd Team but the spy team.
It’s too bad, I had figured that Anna’s return would be a good reason for Morgan to move out of Chuck’s apartment (and for Sarah to move in). Maybe that’ll be her first mission, remove hairy troll from asset’s apartment.
Ken-Good thought! I will miss Anna and would not mind her coming back in the spy world. All those sudden spy jobs would drive Morgan Crazy-Where did she go? What is she doing? What is Chuck talking to her about? I really enjoyed her fight with the ex-Giants defensive end—she probably was giving up 230lbs to him. I wish her well and hope to see her in the last 6 episodes.
