  1. I think by old life there sayign life without Sarah and Casey not leaving his friends and family behind.

  2. well we know that casey and sarah aren’t leaving… so is he going to fail?

on another note (spoiler) is this the episode we see Chuck carrying Shaw on his back (remember those pics a few months ago, with lester involved somehow?) where he’s wearing the flak jacket with 2 knives?

  3. Phew, I glad Casey doesn’t get cut from the team in ep ten. It would have been aweful if that happened.

    I can’t wait…Monday where art thou?

  4. The only thing I take from this synopsis is that Shaw will be gone in a couple of episodes LOL.

Old life? Sounds a bit odd to me, I don’t think the CIA/NSA would let him go that easily, not with all those secrets in his noggin.

  5. Wonder if Chuck is expected to kill somebody? Won’t that take something away from his morality? What will Sarah really think about it? No doubt in most TV series Chuck would have to be able to kill to survive and may have to kill to save Sarah. (Wonder if he will remember the comment to Jill that he will not let them change him)The sooner Shaw is gone the better-I am looking forward to the episode Chuck decks Shaw? Hopefully we are through with Shaw playing kissy face with Sarah–Sarah needs to kill the relationship on her own. I also enjoy her contacts with Chuck’s family in S1 & S2. Enjoy scenes where she prises over Chuck moving a lock of his hair, straightening his tie, leading him by the hand to the back room of the Buy More, kissing him sweetly when she first enters the Buy More (Yes I am old).

    • Taking away from his morality is a tough call… Sarah’s used to killing, but when she popped the agent in between the christmas trees, she was doing it to protect Chuck (“the greater good”). If Chuck HAD to do the same to protect Ellie (or Sarah), IMO it’s just a new angst-trigger to glitch-up his flashing once again.

    • Chuck is trying to find the balance between his duty a a spy and his duty to Sarah and his friends and family, the balance between the hardships of the job and being a good person. He lost sight of his own humanity for a while as he focused in on spy life. He burned Sarah in Prague, burned Manoosh in the “Nacho Sampler”, and gave short shrift to Morgan and Ellie. He got comfortable with lying. Then he decided he couldn’t lie to Hannah anymore. Then Morgan. Sarah encouraged him to not lose himself, and he seems to have taken heed. The road back to Sarah is one where Chuck has to find the balance that allows him to be both her professional partner and her life partner. He’d kill if he had to in order to save her, but his first inclination will always be to try to save her without having to kill.

      • Dr.Bob you are absolutely right!you,me and a very few fans who saw this downward spiral of Chuck since he wanted to become a spy full time meaning all the way in from the beginning of season 3 now granted he’s been lying and keeping secrets from his family and friends for two years when he was the asset. He was so focus on just being a spy is so strong Chuck is so new at this,he never realized that there is a dark side to the spy world, and when he starts to liying to family and freinds including Hannah in the real world tragic results will occour.

Chuck lost his humanity, the inability to seperate his spy life from his personal life with his family and friends.goodness and character. Qualities that Sarah fell in love with him to begin with.He needs balance

Sarah wants that balance for herself as well. She tried it Bryce Larkin that didn’t work out, then Cole Barker she new sooner or later he will choose duty over her,and now Shaw. well, same result. Sarah never had balance until she met Chuck.Besides her spy world Chuck gave her something that she never really had a normal life.A life outside of the spy world. A life with friends and family, it gave her balance, and Sarah love it.

Chuck needs to find the balance that allows him not only to be Sarah’s professional partner but her life partner as well.

  6. How can Shaw judge anybody? He’s the most imcompetant spy ever. And Sarah looks to be compromised by him so her judgement isn’t sound right now.

I hope she clearly dumps Shaw in this ep. She needs to work her way back to Chuck . For once I want Sarah to be on the giving end of things. With Chuck he’s always given without any reciprocation , like for instance her name.

  7. I wish Shaw gets killed, he is the reason why chuck’s ratings on tv is low because he is such a kiss up!!! he’s not even a competent spy, DUH!!

    • I think your right
but the show the show hasnt lost ratings
NBC is renewing this show for a 4th Season in Fall 2010-2011
If they do that, that means that the ratings are better than ever

      • When will we know officially that it is renewed–right now I only give it a 50/50chance of renewal.

  8. I really do hope that Shaw stops appearing in some way.. I don’t really care how they manage to explain why he’s not there as long as he isn’t. With Shaw gone Sarah and Chuck can get back to building whatever they where building before Chuck stood her up to be a spy.

    • I agree with you, Shaw needs to leave and never come back. I like Brandon Ruth as an actor… but really don’t like his character, Shaw!!

  9. Sara was hurt by Chuck in Europe and his relationship with Hanah. I think Shaw is a way to get back. Hopefully the writers and producers hear what the fans want? and they give us more Chuck/Sara moments!

  10. what will happen to casey now? is he gonna be a civilian till the season ends?

    • I have a feeling he won’t be out of the game for long. Team B is nothing without him and it’s downright bleh with Shaw. They have to get him back.

      • i suppose in epi 12 casey will be reinstated,,,,may be he’s the American hero.

      • I agree with you…I think that Chuck vs the American Hero sounds like Casey being the American Hero and getting back into Team Bartowski!!!

      • I think Casey will make a come back, perhaps this temporary separation allows him to help Chuck without compromising his duty as a spy. I wonder if Sarah told Shaw her real name because she thought he was testing her and he already knew her real name. Perhaps he wanted to know if Sarah would lie to him.

The sooner Shaw leaves the better–the reaction to Routh hurts our chances for a season 4.

      • i agree with you! Team Bartowski minus Colonel Case is not AWESOME!!!
