Chuck season 4 starts filming in about 10 days, so we’re starting to get some scoop. Ausiello has something for us, more of a scooplet, to get us started:
Question: Is John Casey’s daughter, Alex (Mekenna Melvin), going to be a series regular next season on Chuck? —Charles
Ausiello: She’ll be the next best thing to a series regular: a recurring guest star. (That noise you hear is Morgan fantasizing about their awkward first date.)
I think most of us assumed Alex would be back, but it’s nice to have confirmation, right? (That noise you hear is me giggling about Casey’s reaction to Morgan & Alex’s first date.)
Not to take too much credit, but I’m actually the one who asked that question to Ausiello. I can’t wait for the story-lines involving Alex and Morgan dating behind Casey’s back and what happens when Casey eventually finds out…..

Oh no! Morgan is putting himself in mortal danger! Chuck will have to flash to save his friend from the wrath of an unleashed Casey! 😉

Hahaha oh great….I’m super excited to see how they’ll incorporate Alex into the show, and I’m also excited to see a certain person’s reaction to Alex’s incorporation….*cough*Casey*cough*

Chuck rose to the occasion when he fell in love with Sarah, and went from being someone Casey ridiculed to being someone he respected and endorsed. Now it’s Morgan’s turn to grow up and Alex may be just what he needs by way of a catalyst.
Morgan has grown up alot in season 3 and earned Casey’s respect for distracting the tiger, finding Chuck in Europe, ect. I think Casey may break the rest of Morgan’s fingers but no major organ damage or loss of limbs.

Are we ever going to find out things about other peoples parents, just out of curiosity. Such as Sarah’s mum or Morgan’s? The series just seems so good at including all the aspects of the characters so…
We’ve met Morgan’s momma, in season 2 (“the Suburbs”). Her name is Bolonia, and she’s dating Big Mike, after an on-line dating match-up. She also showed up with Big Mike at Ellie’s Wedding at the end of saeson 2. I don’t recall if she showed up in any other episodes.
Is that spelling correct? On hearing her name I visualized “Bologna”-as in the food. I thought it was a hilarious joke on Big Mike’s food fixation.
She is a Latina, so I would think that Dr. Bob is correct on the spelling. Haven’t bothered to look it up on imdb.com though.
Yes Alex needs to come back. I would have been happier if she were a regular cast member, but recurring guest star is better than nothing.
I want to see an episode where Morgan faces having to make a choice between Carina, Anna and Alex.
Anna doesn’t have a chance. . .the battle between Alex and Carina. . .will be epic! (if the writers decide to have a battle anyways)
I think it would be just as fun to see the nontraditional reaction from Casey. Especially since he’s started to like Morgan. Of course they could always do the “act friendly around Alex, while Casey tries to kill Morgan in private” route…
Well from the last few episodes Casey, started to respect Morgan but also it started to look more like Casey becoming more of the unusal B.family. So maybe, seeing that his daughter happy, he could become happier about Alex dating Morgan…It Anna, Morgan has to worry about! Lol
Ooooo. . .I think you just hit on something Aaron. Col. Casey could get Anna to try to get Morgan to date her just to see if Morgan will be true to Alex. . .if he even gets to the point of dating Alex anyways. . .and if Morgan fails the test by going back to Anna The Colonel would then be capable of doing just about anything to Morgan for failing the test. . .or perhaps Casey will just eliminate the competition by ghosting any other girl so that Alex doesn’t have the heart break of Morgan going after someone else. . .of course that is if Col. Casey wants any guy to be with Alex. Lots to think about and hopefully the summer passes quickly so that we can have cold weather and Chuck again. (well. . .so that I can have cold weather anyways)

Can you see it now, Casey and Morgan on a “mish”, then Morgan gets a text message…better still a more “personal” message…kisses maybe from Alex…

I like Alex and I’m happy she’s back with the gang. I never really approved of the match with her and morgan but since it looks like it’s going in that direction and everyone is in favor of it, I’m willing to give it a shot.
I don’t think she would have been good with “Season One Morgan”, but we saw him begin to mature in season 3, and I think Alex could be the transforming presence in his life that Sarah has been to Chuck.
Goodness no, season 1 Morgan would have been a disaster. Morgan has been growing steadily awesome through out season 3, and I’ve got a feeling it might even get better during season 4. Can’t wait.

If Morgan goes after Alex then his stay on screen may be short–just long enough for Casey to shoot him—-wonder if she will be running around in her underpants–hope everyone changes to boxers–then I will not feel llike everyone is being taken advantage of for the sake of young minds-or mindless.

With no more Buymore and Chuck out of the CIA contiuing missions with Sarah would be difficult. This is what I think…
Sarah,Casey and Morgan will continue doing the CIA stuff with Beckman barking orders and treating Morgan with contempt and Chuck will be doing his secret stuff behind everyones backs whilst triing to look for a job…
I think Chuck and Sarah seperate mission will clash and Sarah will finally discover what Chucks been up too.
I would like to see more of Sarah’s past perhaps we will discover her real birth name , becaue i think Sam is another alias from her youth. Perhaps she will reveal it when Chuck proposes to her
Mary Elizabeth Bartowski will be Season 4 main baddie not knowing that Chuck has thwarted her during season 4 on his secret mission, only to discover at the end of season his true identity and perhaps redemption………
I pray that you are right about the whole “Sam” thing. When Shaw said that she never seemed like or looked like a “Sarah”, the first thing I thought when she said “Sam” was that she didn’t look like a “Sam”, either. I’ve always clung to the hope that she was merely playing Shaw, and that she’d never reveal her true identity to anyone other than the guy she’s loved since the day he fixed her phone.
