NBC To Air Chuck Marathon December 27

NBC continues to gift Chuck fans with reruns this holiday season. In the just released lineup for the week of December 26, NBC has scheduled three episodes to rerun on Monday, December 27.

The 3-hour block o’ Chuck kicks off with the season 4 premiere, “Chuck vs. the Anniversary”, at 8/7c, followed by “Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror” and “Chuck vs. the First Fight.”

As previously reported, on December 20, NBC will rerun “Chuck vs. Santa Claus” at 10/9c.

  1. that’s encouraging news 🙂

    • Adding on to my previous comment, I really think we should make an effort to watch these re-runs live and get some decent ratings.

  2. That’s Great! I have been wanting to see 4.01 again 🙂

  3. Good news! I wonder how they picked the episodes. Did they want only the episodes with Linda Hamilton? I wish they chose phase 3 but I’m happy NBC is doing this.

  4. Hope KrisOnWatch creates some video ads for this!

  5. Holla! Linda Hamilton is just too good to air once. 🙂

  6. I think this is a good sign that NBC still has faith in the little show that could.

All Mama B episodes, and all good episodes to get new viewers hooked on the show, and pretty much up to date with the main story arc of S4.

  7. This amounts to a three-hour-long infomercial for “Chuck” which, given NBC’s prior paucity of promotion, is a mighty step in the right direction.

    • Agreed, Doctor Bob…Between this, and the airing of “Chuck vs Santa Claus” on Dec 20th (though I still think “Chuck vs the Crown Vic” would have been a better choice of Christmas episode), this definitely seems to indicate that NBC is ready to throw more support behind Chuck! 🙂

      • Both great eps. I lean toward the “Santa Claus” because it gives me more Yuletide warm-and-fuzzies (the attempt to heartwarm Sarah when he invites her to spend Christmas with the Bartowskis, the bracelet scene, the “I’ll never let anyone hurt you” scene, and proving it, albeit unsettlingly, by icing Mauser.) The “Crown Vic” has the drama of Sarah throwing her knife about the room and being cold to Chuck, and Casey’s looming assignment to liquidate Chuck. A little light in the warm-and-fuzzy department.

  8. Is this actually a study to see if there is a syndication market–to partially justify a season 5 (or whatever?)??? Perhaps NBC does not think they have anything else that would interest the general public and they feel confident in Chuck’s regular viewers looking in? I am totally ignorant as to the why’s of rerunning Chuck’s episodes so soon but I will enjoy all of them. Perhaps we can pick up some more viewers for January’s new episodes.

  9. Any time you have a chance to draw more people into the “Chuck-verse,” the better. Hopefully the other networks will not be airing much of anything, and people will maybe give Chuck a try – or “another” try. THANKS NBC. And for those who have commented, I think you’re right. They’re up to something here. They’re not just putting all this “CHUCK” on for the heck of it!!

NBC execs have gone on record saying they love Chuck, and when its one of the only shows they have that holds steady and has more than half a season of episode ands its the Monday after Christmas they have nearly no choice but to air Chuck or to air a Dateline investigative report. The other option is a L&O:SVU or Office marathon. Maybe this was part of the 24 episode season deal.

  11. Nice. And here I thought nothing was going to be on during the break. Lets hope a good number of die hard Chuck fans tune in and make it worth there while. I’ll be watching.

  12. I’ll bet the Chuck faithful will provide some pretty strong ratings for a night of repeats. I agree this is a very good sign for the show. NBC is looking for ways to keep Chuck on the radar screen during its December hiatus.

    • I am glade they are re-runing episodes of Chuck, it seems like when ever we get some momentum we then get a break that kills the momentum. I am really hoping that playing re-runs during the break will allow some additional eyes to see it that would not have seen it before. I think we will get a season 5 due to us being so close to syndication (I am sure the WB would strike a deal so they could get the last 22 episodes that are required).

  13. anyone know when episode 11 is ment to air?

  14. Mel, i have been one of NBCs hardest critics and easily threw around my doubt that they loved and supported our show. well i am officially going on record saying that i am eating my words. i wont say that i am 100% convinced but ths was a HUGE gesture on NBCs part and i am very thankful. 🙂 Happy Holidays to All!

  15. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it seems like NBC has decided to replace the “CHUCK repeats” with other programming. Not really a surprise – they’re trying to use the popularity of the new “Singing” show to introduce a new program – and they’re replacing the “Chuck 3 hour Marathon” with some movie, supposedly.

  16. NBC revised their 12/27 primetime schedule yet again putting Chuck back on. http://bit.ly/fMxFxQ
