This is Mel from ChuckTV.net. I’ve been asked to be the fan liaison for Chuck, working with the Fans for the Writers and wanted to introduce myself to you in that capacity. The goal of the fan liaison is to act as both a link and a buffer between the writers and fans of Chuck. Should the fans have any questions or comments for the writers, I take those comments to the writers, and give the fandom any requests or comments from the writers. In addition, I help keep both the writers and the fans informed of any fan and Fans for the WGA support activities.In the coming days and weeks (hopefully not months!), I will be working with both the writers and Fans for the WGA to coordinate activities that Chuck fans can participate in to support the writers.
I would like to alert you to an activity that Chuck fans can participate in now, however. Les Moonves of CBS has indicated that he is ready to resume talks with the WGA. The CBS fandoms are doing their part by calling and writing to Mr. Moonves in support of his statement, and now we would like fans of shows on other networks to send Mr. Moonves to do the same. Here is the information:
Call 212-975-4545 which will take you directly to Les Moonves’ secretary and bypasses the CBS switchboard. It is important to be polite but clear. State your name, state or country and that you are a fan of NBC’s Chuck. Tell CBS that you want the writers to have a fair contract and are happy to hear that Mr. Moonves is willing to go back to the table and hope his example will be followed by other executives. Also tell them that you will not be watching any reality shows or any primetime news shows.
