The official synopsis for the season finale, “Chuck vs. the Ring“, has been released. It contains a couple of major spoilers, so don’t look if you don’t want to know!
SEASON FINALE—CHUCK MUST SAVE HIS SISTER’S WEDDING AND HER LIFE—MORGAN FAIRCHILD (â€Falcon Crestâ€), BRUCE BOXLEITNER (â€Babylon 5″), TONY HALE (â€Arrested Developmentâ€), SCOTT BAKULA (â€Quantum Leapâ€) AND CHEVY CHASE (NBC’s “Saturday Night Liveâ€) GUEST STAR—When Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) and Awesome’s (Ryan McPartlin) wedding day finally arrives, Chuck (Zachary Levi) must save Ellie’s life and her big day from being ruined by Ted Roark (guest star Chevy Chase) and Fulcrum. Meanwhile, with the Intersect out of his head, Chuck is up against his most dangerous mission yet: figuring our what to do with the rest of his life.

Man this episode sounds i great i have a feeling chuck is going to choose the intersect therefore choosing sarah at the end, sounds awesome. I really wish they hadn’t mentioned the intersect yet since its not on any other spoilers, but o well =)

if you think about it if chuck gets the intersect out of his head he knows how to do it and knows how it works, I.E becoming the next orion?? he already has the computer skills and with a full knowledge on the intersect he would be a pretty prized asset and would need protecting. or he just puts it back in
i hate how this gives us no details on charah! damn nbc! josh and chris did say the finale is going to be game changing – maybe it’s going to be chuck as an actual spy without the intersect next season…though i fear that they are totally setting this up to be a series finale and not a season finale which really sucks…

Sorry, I guess I wasn’t finished… I swear, if this is Chuck’s series finale, not season finale, I’m going to be extremely bummed! No lie: it’ll be the next Great Depression all us nerd-honoring citizens of BuyMoria. At this point I don’t care what happens in the future of Chuck as long as two things happen: Chuck returns for at last 5 more seasons (even tho for right now I’d be happy for just season 3) and the Charah relationship moves along and doesn’t stay in the same place.
Because NBC hasn’t announced Season 3, the writers really have had their hands tied. They have to finish this season in a way that will make everyone happy, yet there will probably be some storyline that can be picked up if, and when NBC renews. Personally, I will be devastated if they finish this season with Chuck and Sarah together and NBC doesn’t renew to see where it takes them. I’m sure I can speak for most when I say we didn’t wait 34 episodes to see them together for only 1.
It’s funny to read this synopsis as the last bit of info isn’t posted on NBCs website ( with intersect out of his head).

I think we can assume that Awesome will find out about Chuck, and that leads into season 3….what about Awesome getting the intersect??
The only logical continuation of the intersect is to
give it to Elle and have Chuck in season three protect her.

If Orion dies in season finale, season three will have
Chuck try and get it out of her head.
This episode is going to be awesome, i tell you this is the best show on TV
actually it would make sense if Chuck does get the intersect out of his head… and then if the shocking death is someone close to Chuck it would set up season 3 as chuck trying to get the intersect back into his head in order to get those responsible… either way if this seriws gets canceled… then I have no reason to own a television or cable…
This is totaly bull hockey if they remove the intersect.. lets suppose his dad has created another better and more accessible intersect like near the end of show it showed Chuck actually accessing it rather than it blowing his mind.. so with that in mind MORE CHUCK!! YAY!!….Ok i can dream cant I?? Well it would be not so good for NBC to remove one of its top 10 cos this morning Chuck was listed # 10 on its list so maybe Chuck has a shot at renewal!
Yeah, I never really take those spoiler things seriously. BUT that is huge. Why did they put that up? Unless something bigger happens that makes that seem like not that big a deal.
Maybe he gets it out, realizes he needs it, and gets it back in.
i’m guessing the intersect will be out of chucks head in 2.21…leaving 2.22 to focus on life and stuff…but as usual there will be some Fulcrum shenanigans where they kidnap ellie….then whatever happens to get ellie back will be the setup for season 3.
Did anyone notice the similarity between the relationship between Rourke and Orion and Chuck and Bryce, somehow this is going to play into what Chuck is going to do with the rest of his life, maybe he will get the girl. I’m concerned for Ellie, what do they mean by Chuck saving her life or not? While their father’s death would be sad, I don’t think it would have as much impact as Ellie’s death would create. Ellie is truly innocent dad isn’t.
Maybe version 1.0 of the intersect was removed with 2.0 added. A S3 renewal is needed for to add to the storyline. Sometimes it feel so rushed to conclude everything this year.
I dont think bryce is coming back since hes not listed as a guest star in the synopsis…. Hmmm interesting. I have a feeling that chuck gets the intersect removed then someone gets hurt, which he thinks he could have prevented if he was the intersect so thats why it gets put back in. Either that or he goes to the cinema and the intersect and NSA hijack the film XD
Ellie is the one who will find out about chuck’s spy world. I have read it in one of the magazine scan in spoilerTV. Hmmm if the intersect is out of chuck’s head it means that Sarah’s job as chuck’s handler is over.So what will happen to CHARAH???
I’ll be so disappointed if NBC executives don’t renew Chuck. There’re so many other junk shows on TV year after year. At least Chuck is entertaining and offers something I haven’t seen on TV before.

My wish for a third season would be if the intersect is removed from Chucks head he should have major memories of what Fulcrum is planning. I would like to see the intersect reboot in Chucks’ head. Chucks father will update it, Byrce will be turned into a Fulcrum agent and killed by Chuck to save Sara. It would be great payback for what he did to Chucks’ life. Also it would make a great entry into seasoon three. I can only hope that Chuck becomes more involved with Sara as a subplot.
what if he got the intersect out but his dad died in the process leaving chuck as the only one with any decent knowledge of the intersect, fulcrum would still be after him and the government would still need him to build another one keeping Casey and Sarah around to protect him. while he is in the process of building the new intersect he still manages to become a spy, or is that a bit mad?? what ever the case i cant wait for the episode but im sad at the same time MORE CHUCK PLEASE!!!!!!

I just want to why everyone is focus on Ellie getting married. Um isn’t she having second thought due to Devon’s bachlor Party incident… if you ask me they won’t tie then knot… i know they’ve been together from the beginning but seriously, i rather see them break up… no offnce but a guy who says “Awesome” all the time could really get on my nerves… if Ellie smart she will leave his ass at the altar…. And as for Chuck and Sarah… I agree I like to see them get together and they better have a season 3 cause I didn’t watch this show for the last two years to see them together for one episode…I mean Come On!!!! NBC do the right thing keep it on the air…..
I think chuck not have the intersect in his head would be great… He can bcome a real spy and him and sarah could date for real…. but this does sound more like a series finale… not a season fanile… I just hope if the shshow is Cancelled that we the FANS don’t let it die… that we will band together and get it back on the air or at least a movie (Like they did with Firefly)

Cum’ on! There will be a season three. Have faith! Chuck will get the intersect out of his head, but then relize that it is hi burden and his responsibility. He will come to this realization thru some sort of tragity (a close death, possibly Orion, Ellie [but I really doubt it’s her], or even Casey. [Keep in mind that I haven’t taken the time to look at the cast contracts to see if the accually die or not. It could be a “death” like Bryce where he/she just appears to be dead.]) He will be convicted to but it back in (probably in season 3) and thus make Sarah return as Chuck’s handler (and solidifying the Charah relationship for good). Awesome becomes a part of what Chuck’s doing for the government and becomes some sort of spy of something. Ellie is more there for Chuck to unload all his feelings and thoughts on. As for Morgan? I have no clue! My guess? He starts living a double life with Anna (just as Chuck did with Ellie) and goes to help Chuck on some missions. There’s only one real problem I’m having now: that every TV show needs a real major conflict and lots of miniconflicts. My theory shoots holes thru most of the miniconflicts and only leaves the major conflict of Fulcrum. So either my theory is just sraight up wrong (which is the more likely of the two) or they find a way to insert more miniconflicts. Who knows? The only thing I know for certian is that Chuck NEEDS a third season! I <3 Chuck!
OMG! There is one question that has been driving me crazy since the show started. If Chuck gets the intersect out of his head then wouldn’t Casey & Sarah be sent away on another mission? The whole reason they are around is to protect Chuck since he has government information in his head. Do you think it’s possible Chuck may end up getting trained to be a real spy?
I really really REALLY hate to say this, but it seems like this is going to be a series finale rather than a season finale. NBC has to make room for Jay leno’s prime time bull crap evernight and because of that they have to make room for it. I think Chuck is one of NBC’s better shows, but it isn’t advertised the same as shows like Heroes, Medium, The office parks & rec etc.
It just seems like they are tying up lose ends. The main point of the show (The intersect) has been resolved. It is out of his head, and I think that Chuck trying to be a spy without a the intersect just isn’t the same show. The reason why the show is so appealing to me is that he is forced into the situations. Chuck doesn’t want to be a spy and has no idea how to be a spy. That’s why he needs Sarah and Casey. If Chuck becomes this awesome spy, which in theory would be awesome, then there would be no need for Sarah and Casey, plus then the show would lose all of it’s flair. The show just doesn’t work without the interset.
Along with this, all of the sub plots are coming to an end. Morgan has finally left the comfort of the Buy more and has joined the real world. Elle and Capt. Awesome are getting married. Chuck has found his father. Chuck has closure over Jill. Bryce will come back to the final episode and there will be some sort of final conflict there. Casey has been promoted to colonel. Chuck’s secret as a government spy has been leaked out to Capt. Awesome. And most importantly Chuck and Sarah are finally together. The only event that hasn’t been resolved is Emmit still being store manager. Unfortuantly this is just too small of an event to give us hope for season 3.
It just seems that the show has no future past season 2. I really hope that there is some HUGE event in the season finale that changes everything. But as of right now i’m really worried that this is the end of my favorite show.
i can’t wait for this finale its going to be huge it has to be, with them tying up all the loose ends, the game changer needs to be big to split them all again, chuck will probably get the intersect put back into his head but to protect other people and also to be close to sarah, you never know he could do it to stop Roark getting the intersect cube, and then he would sacrifice himself to save eveyone else (in the sence of him going with roark not dying).
