Can you believe that finale? If we weren’t already eager for a third season of Chuck, that would have lit a fire under our collective butts! We still have a week until NBC announces its fall schedule, so now what? Keep the momentum going, Chuck fans! Here’s a handy checklist of Watch/Buy/Share/Write campaign things to do today:
- Order Season 1 and pre-order Season 2 on DVD
- Send letter and Subway receipt to NBC (it needs to go out Tuesday to allow time to reach NBC; addresses here)
- Fill out the online comments form at Subway.com thanking them for their support of Chuck
- Watch the finale again on NBC.com, Hulu, etc.
- Send your photos of Finale & Footlong to mel@chucktv.net
- Send emails/email audio files/photos of finale comments and Subway stories to mail@chuckpodcast.com
- Send a video of yourself talking about why Chuck should be renewed to CNN (details here)

Updated @9:35AM CT: NBC’s Chuck page has one spot where it refers to the finale as the series finale and another spot where it refers to it at as the season finale. This is NOT how NBC will announce Chuck’s fate. We will receive an official press release and/or news from a trusted source such as Variety or The Hollywood Reporter once the decision is announced. You can still make your voice heard!
Updated @1:30PM CT: NBC has admitted that they made a mistake when listing the finale as a series finale on their website. It has been corrected.
But it didn’t even air yet…

Done..Done..Done..Done! It has been so fun watching this season and pulling out all the stops to make this happen. It has truly been a pleasure..even though my hand kept cramping while writing my letters. Haven’t handwritten a letter since high school I think! Thanks Chucktv.net!

hi, i’m an avid fan of chuck ever since it started airing here in the philippines, and i always watch the latest episodes in the internet..i would wait week after week for the episodes to be uploaded..i’m very disappointed about the possible cancellation of this show!!i would love to help but sadly i can’t ‘coz i don’t live in the states..but to all those who are supporting chuck & trying their very best to do what they can to campaign for a 3rd season, keep it up & more power to you guys!!=)

i wish i could have helped with the ratings, but i don’t live in the states. i’m in germany and i have to watch all the shows online. i LOVE LOVE LOVE Chuck! So please, guys, keep trying! Chuck HAS TO BE renewed!!

I dunno want you think but NBC is not a bunch of A-holes who find it fun to toy with the fans to the point of announcing the series cancellation through a small sidebox at the edge of the screen. That means nothing.
That said, I don’t own a magic ball nor do I have secret intel about the fate of this wonderfull show, but I do know one thing: Come what may, renewal or cancellation, it’s gonna be announced PROPPERLY, not with an out of context and place box by the side.
Oh and I believe the decision is supposed to be announced next week like, 5th of May, tough I’m not 100% sure of that one.
Still, if I’m just blinding myself and that’s the best NBC can do to announce a cancellation… Bring forth the flamethrower!
And I’m actually hearing NBC’s facebook account is calling it the SEASON FINALE, tough I don’t have facebook so someone else should check that for us…
All an all, this messy mix is just not the way for annything to be announced in a company of the size of NBC, to me, nothing is on stone yet
ok guys I know it is hard but we have to be calm…Now lets think for a moment…First thing is finale episode is definitely is not appropriate to be the last episode of the WHOLE SERIES why?? here are the reasons;
1)Finale episode of the whole series never ends with an exact “TO BE CONTINUED” but you can come up with an opposite evidence such as NBC website says “SERIES END”. Now the answer lies in here which side is more powerful? My vote goes to Chuck because it has a brilliant future, despite the low ratings, changing the day would exactly rise the ratings.
2)Finale episode of the whole series would never leave many unanswered questions. Why couldn’t Sraha confess her feelings for two times? Who are the elders, what is the ring? is bryce dead? These are serious questions that can affect the series in deep.
SO under these reasons, I am honest to tell that series will not end, oh by the way changing the network would be an idea also, but I am sure that nothing has ended.
OHH AGAIN I AM NOT CALMMMMMM…IF CHUCK IS NOT RENEWED, I WILL BURN THE WOLRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD…
Utku, while I would love to jump in your bandwagon, I must remain aware of the facts…
1)It would not be the first time a season ends with a “To Be Continued” only to be axed by the network after that. Farscape is one of such.
2)Unanswered questions and loose strings in series that get cut too soon and too short are common. Networks decide what they wanna keep and what they wanna cut, and they don’t give a heads-up to the creators like “Hey huh, we are going to cancel your show so if you wanna cut all the loose strings and leave things tidy for a finale, start now.” I remember watching “Invasion” and by the time the series was cancelled the show didn’t answer 1 question out of the dozens going around.

I really really love chuck….but i have to be honest i laughed several times by how bad this last episode was. Seeing chuck be a super weapon (giving a matrix like line..”I know Kung Fu”) was just unnatural.
He is a nerd who is out of his place. Suppose the show comes back, the entire dynamic has changed. I could be wrong, but i don’t see where the show will go from here that will maintain what we know and love as the chuck world.
Has the show Jumping the shark?
Where will Morgan be that we still get to see him, and what about the rest of the buy more crew? They are as much of the show as any other part. Sarah is ready to quite her job for chuck, so now that chuck will be a true agent, why not just get together. Screw protocol, she did with Bryce anyway. And if that happens then we loose the forbidden love flair.
I feel bad for saying this since the entire season was top notch except the finale, but SHOULD the show come back, even if its possible for it to. The unanswered questions listed above are hardly compelling and definitely not enough to sustain an entire season.
Call me a hater but i think it should be over, and if it does come back ill give it 2 episodes and if they don’t change direction ill be done watching. What a let down…

What you received from the episode was different than what (i think) a vast majority of people received from the finale. Which isn’t a bad thing…kinda… I think you should watch it again.
What a great finale!!! (hopefully just season) They weren’t kidding when they said “gamechanger”NBC cannot expect us to not want more!! Hopefully by this time next week we will all be cheering because of a third season
Todd, while I disagree with you that the episode was bad (actually I’m preety sure I broke my record for laughs in front of the TV thanks to Jeffster), I can also see where you’re getting, Chuck is a nerd with no super training that is suddenly thrown into the world of espionage and clearly doesn’t know what to do. You take that away and well… it just doesn’t feel right.
But actually Fedak already said that Chuck isn’t going to be a new Jack Bauer (from 24) so, my reading of the issue, don’t think Chuck has become a super weapon, it probably won’t last. The creators know that’s screwing the premise of the show to its foundations…
And that brings me to my other point: You seem to have atleast enjoyed the show so far (if you didn’t, well, what are you doing here may I ask?) so I say lets trust the writers and see what they are leading us into before we start showing the “jumped the shark” signs. Considering the marvelous show that they have given us so far, I say the writers deserve at least a chance to show us what they have in mind with this Neo-Chuck.

Don’t worry, you’re over-analyzing everything
Trust the writers because they know what they’re doing,
Just think about all the amazing episodes they’ve given us so far

This is all the way from London, England. Chuck is a national obsession over here. Last night it came out at 2am english time and me and ten of my friends (who usually wait untill the next day) but we were so excited we waited for my uncle in the USA to send me it. I have got my whole school into the chuck phenomenon (marlborough college, wiltshire). My friends and I are doing our A levels but everything over here stops before Chuck has been watched!! Please keep Chuck

Yes, I agree with you, it’s over analyzation, but hey, this are the questions that will be on our heads for the long months to go until Chuck returns (positive thinking people!) so mainly in this week where the fate of the show will be unveiled, I think over analization is actually a good way to let go of all the pressure associated with the uncertain fate of the show…
That said, I forgot to refer to the Buy More issue. While Chuck and the spy stuff has long outgrown the Buy More, by reading the interviews of Joshua Gomez and Chris Fedak, I have the feeling Morgan is not quite out of the show. Dun ask me what’s in store for him, I dunno, but I think he’ll be around in some way. Emmet is most sureally a goner tough, as for Jeff, Lester, Big Mike and Anna, for those I keep a big ? tough I can see them pulling a “House” thing like that show did with Chase And Cameron.
without chuck tv will become pointless!!!! it has enough material to get us going for another season for the least! renew renew renew!!!!!!!

IF this was the series finale, I would loose the will to live.
Chuck has become a very integral part of my life, the character is just sooo relatable to us geeks and nerds.Its by far one of the most exciting and fun shows that I have ever seen on TV along side epic shows like FRIENDS etc…
NBC knows that Chuck is one of their best shows on network and one of the most viewed shows as well.They would seriously, seriously have to think really deep into whether or not to renew or cancel a show.
As for me, I’m just hoping and praying that they do let Chuck get a 3rd season because honestly, season 1 and season 2 were cursed with bad luck regarding show strikes, timings, episode cancellations etc.

albruno, Ted Roark, played by Chevy Chase, is dead. That means the chances of Chevy returning are…. very slim at best. Tough I would like to know what kind of cover up the CIA arranged to explain the dissapearence of such an important figure in computer technology.
Scott Bakula on the other hand I would love if the could keep around, tough I’m under the impression that actors with such a name attached are not cheap so keeping them around might be financially challenging.
The only thing that I was wondering… What about the fulcrum intersect? I don’t think that orion would have known about that to cancel it out from chuck’s head… anyways, I love the show, the finale was amazing!! VIVA CHUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
As we’ve seen this episode, Chuck destroyed the Fulcrum Intersect (but not before uploading it into his brain… again).
I’m not sure what happened over at NBC? Whether an webmaster had brain freeze or someone has a bad sense of timing. But this was classless. There is no point in discriminating against a single show while others have yet to be announced.
CHUCK has a proven following. Any one who has had advertising understands that for every 1 response given. There is usually another ten who will not respond.
I am not big into Nielsen numbers but someone needs to explain this to NBC.
the worst thing NBC could do is not to renew chuck…They have to dooo it, ecspecially after yesterday´s season finale..this can´t be the end of chuck because it´s the best show ever filled with action, fun, drama. it´s just awesome!!!

NBC better not cancel this show. Hopefully they will let us have a season 3. The writers have proven they are capable of wowing us and the actors are great in their roles. I have very few shows that I look forward to watching and even fewer that I actually make an effort to watch LIVE. NBC let’s hope you’re beginning to realize you’ve got a good thing going and let us Chuck fans have another season. I’m even going to go rogue and say how about a fourth season. I’ll keep watching and I’ll keep buying when they come out on DVD.

I’ve read all you’re comments and all I see is one common theme: bring Chuck back!! That’s all we want. I’m from Sydney Australia (Yvonne’s hometown!!) and you have no idea what I’ve had to go thru to see Chuck. First it was sold to a free to air channel. They even flew Zach and Yvonne out for the launch. All of a sudden the series was sold to a pay tv operator. And they have held on to it and delayed the broadcast. So instead, I wait every week until Tuesday afternoon or evening Sydney time before I can see the episode online. If there was a rating for the amount of desire and effort that goes into supporting a show, you’re looking at it! As some of the comments are from people outside of the US, they know what I’m talking about. NBC, don’t underestimate the show and it’s attraction outside the US. There are a lot of good shows that don’t get picked up outside the US, but this one has already got a following. Please give Chuck a chance!!

After all my emailing and subway buying to keep Chuck on the air, if NBC dumps the show I will have to start a BOYCOTT NBC campaign. Maybe I should throw Subway in there too.
amchunki, altough I’d say they are not 100% legal, downloading the episodes from torrent websites are really the best way to go for those outside the US. I mean lets not even talk about the fact that US ads usually mean nothing outside the US. The whole delay is just too much. Right now, here in Portugal they’re broadcasting the 1st Season of Chuck and if not for the internet, I would have no idea that the show has finished its second season and that is pending renewal. If that’s not annoyning enough, lets not forget that one can’t really come to the internet and hope to dodge spoilers for so much time, so it’s very non-practical.
My way: Torrent the shows I wanna watch and then if I really like them, buy the Season DVD.
Let’s burn NBC!!!

NBC has removed the “series” finale from the website. The only mention of finale on the site is the “season finale.” Let’s just hope it is a mistake and there is still hope for Chuck! I don’t think I’m going to be able to wait for official word. I NEED more Chuck!

It’s official, the SERIES FINALE thingy was a screw up all along.
People seriously, stay calm and be patient, it’ll take at least a week until anything concerning the fate of the show surfaces so until then hate comments towards NBC go to eleven in the scale of nonsense (yay I just did a 80’s reference!).
For now, the only thing I feel towards NBC is sympaphy for picking up the show that I now consider my all time favorite, and God bless them for that.
‘Las Vegas’ was another show that ended with a “To Be Continued”. Another Great show Cancelled by NBC.

I think that WHEN season 3 starts, they’ll keep the chuck-fu under control . . . it was a last resort triggered by the intersect, it didn’t kick in when they surrounded him or threatened to kill him, it only vested when they pointed the gun at Sarah’s head . . . they’ll probably have a storyline where he doesn’t retain the skills for very long, perhaps only until the threat is gone, something like that, and even if he learns it forever, I don’t think they’ll overuse it, because then Chuck would become less identifiable as a character and lose some of that charm.
I really hope this gets picked up for season 3 and moved to a different night . . . if it was on Tues/Wed/Thurs. the show’s numbers would be so much better . . . competing against House is death! And the critics love this show!
