Rumors have been swirling. Conflicting reports have been published. But we finally have the definitive answer to the most important question on the mind of Chuck fans: the CNN coverage of our renewal campaign is finally confirmed! CNN.com Live will feature the Chuck renewal campaign on Thursday, May 7, between 1-2PM EST. They’ve tapped our own Gray, producer/co-host of Chuck vs. the Podcast, to appear live along side Josh Gomez and/or Zachary Levi – depending on schedules – during the segment to discuss the fan campaign.
Bookmark the page, set your alarms, write yourself a note, do whatever you need to do to make sure you catch this one!

Gray – I’d be careful about making the point about THE MENTALIST and how people don’t watch it together. That’s just speculation and we don’t want people to dismiss it for sour grapes.
CHUCK being a family show is an important point, I agree, and I we all know people watch it together, but I’d stay away from too much “fan” speculation on CNN. ha ha!
Just my opinion, but I think the strongest points are the ones you mentioned about alternative viewing (Hulu, NBC.com). And how CHUCK had actually seen an uptick in ratings with the collective fan push to get more people watching.

Which will it be on–CNN, or on CNN Headline News?

Don’t forget that the main appeal of the show is the LOVE STORY involving YVONNE and Zach…
I mean that is really why most of us watch. Yvonne is incredibly off the charts TALENTED.
I think that is the hook of the show if I am not very much mistaken!!!!
Please don’t let them say that the show is about geeks…this is the reason that the show is struggling, the perception of the show is a bunch of losers…the REALITY is that the show is about KICK ASS SPIES WHO FIGHT BADDIES and it just happens that the most amazing breathtaking spy is in love with CHUCK.
We all need to remind people of what the show is actually about and IT IS NOT ABOUT GEEKS. The geeks are a BACKDROP. It is about SPIES IN LOVE. And one of the spies is having toruble learning the ropes (chuck).
CHUCK is a great opportunity for NBC. Obviously, Nielsen ratings are outdated. What other show is so well connected to the Twitter generation? NBC is definitely reaching a large amount of the 18-34 demo and this renewal campaign proves it.

I just saw the interview and loved it. Watching Josh Gomez and Zachary Levi together was so fun–it made me smile, just like watching ‘CHUCK’ does. I’m truly hoping–and praying, that the show is renewed. It seems like the cast and crew have a genuine love and respect for each other and for the show.
I just watched Zach and Josh on CNN.live. And it was funny, it was good to see them talking about the show and how it might be able to come back for a third season. The interview was positive in all aspects. And Zach was right about us as fans really need to keep this train of hope going, even if we do get a third season. I really hope that it happenes I can’t see the show CHUCK end like it did, it left the mind to wonder way to much. Not to mention it the best show of all time.
NBC Execs should be getting physical notifications of that American Heart Association effort today. I hope they get their act together and let us know that Chuck is renewed and will have a full season. After all we’ve done…
But yeah, watching that interview was awesome. Many thanks to whoever helped make that happen!

thanks all! It was an interesting experience being completely live. Also I couldn’t really see Josh & Zac or the host, so I had to go only on what I heard.
Was anyone able to record it? I taped a version from my feed, but like I said, you couldn’t see a lot. I can’t figure out if it’s possible to go back to previous videos and capture from the screen. If anyone can do this or has it already, please let me know!

Nice job Gray, the message really came through and you did the best you could do with what little time you had. Zach really took the bull by the horns (as we say over here) when he said that it’s important to look not only for the current renewal issue but also to keep up (and even increase) the fight in order to promote Chuck and deliver it to a safest place in NBC’s list of scripted shows. Renewing Chuck is just the beginning.
