We’ve got the exclusive scoop on the latest casting coup for Chuck‘s third season. Sources confirm that Steve Austin (best known as his WWF character, “Stone Cold”) guest stars in episode 3.05, “Chuck vs. First Class”, as Hugo Panzer, a master of close-quarters combat.
This episode also features guest star Kristin Kreuk as Hannah, a young woman Chuck meets on a plane to Paris who ends up working at the Buy More.
Chuck showrunners are doing an awesome job again this season.
Huh. Wonder which of the Big 3 (Chuck, Sarah, Casey) will end up kicking HIS @$$?
It’s going to have to be Chuck.
Although that fight between Sarah and Colt in First Date was amazing.
“Hey guys! I know Kung Fu!” Don’t forget Chuck!
“Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold!”
You guys are killing me. The news keeps getting better and better. How do they expect us to wait until March when they keep announcing all these great guests?
If it weren’t for this Chuckaholic support group, I’m not sure I could survive.
You know that the WWE will be a huge marketing push for this episode since they had a 3 movie deal with Steve Austin. And they will push it to watch it before there show starts at 8pm central time and “Chuck” starts at 7pm.
Wow this is Awesome. 🙂 I’m literally dying of excitement right now for S3.
Hi,
FYI, this was the “secret” video interview I got in L.A. — couldn’t tell anyone until the news officially broke.
We’ll be airing Steve Austin’s interview closer to when his episode airs.
Cheers,
G.
Wow, another big name guest star. Come to think, people who guest starred on Chuck ended up having their own shows (i.e. Chevy Chase, Andy Richter, Michael Strahan and Matt Bommer).
Chuck is the best.
And that’s the bottom line coz Stone Cold said so!
I don’t know what to say, i don’t watch wrestling but i think he’s a star and i wonder where the budget cuts are?
They said it will be buget cuts and so far i don’t see any indications of cuts.
I mean this guy is paid on one episode more than the rest of the nerds at buy more right?
On another note: the NBC just canceled Southland and we might see Chuck much early but i hear they are in financial issues and with the low ratings they had it doesn’t sound good for a fourth season of Chuck.:(

Thanks for not making my day. 🙁
Are you a Ryan Atwood fan? 🙂
The O.C was great until Marissa died. 🙁
No. Just the thought of Chuck coming to an abrupt and terrible end just put me on suicide watch. I’m sure millions will join me if that happens. I hope the cancelation of Southland does good for Chuck and not bad.
-keeps fingers crossed-
AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE!
Anyone else really want to see him smash some beer cans?
This is going to be crazy S3 can’t come soon enough! I hope they let Austin run with his character. “Listen up, you stupid son of a bitch!”
Guys, check this out!!!!

Chuck might come sooner like in this month!!! 😀
stargazer, we posted this news earlier today here. Come over and join the discussion.
Another great casting catch. Hopefully it WILL be Chuck that puts a hurt on him!!
According to EW.com – October might be the new March
http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/10/09/exclusive-nbc-may-move-up-chuck-launch/#more-3278
Ausiello is reporting that Chuck might be coming back as early as late October.
I have mixed feelings because I bought in to the notion that March would be good from a promotion perspective, but I believe Chuck can make a go of it now – the Fall TV season with a few exceptions is total crap.
They just better not be messing with our heads. That would be cruel.
Gord, we posted that news a few hours ago here. Come join the celebration!
I love this casting news, Stone Cold was one of my favorite wrestlers. Can’t wait to see how he does in acting like the ROCK!
Did anybody see the EW.com article Oct 9 from Ausiello that Chuck could be coming back as soon as late October as NBC Southland got cancelled. See below!
“It’s good news (for me), bad news (for NBC): Since its numbers are down and its new and returning shows are mainly DOA (Southland was axed before new episodes even aired!), Chuck’s third season might get to premiere sooner than the March date that’s been bandied about thus far.
“How much sooner†you ask?
As early as late October, my moles tell me. And while it remains unclear whether the little show that could (and has and shall again) would return to its Monday timeslot or find itself a new perch, NBC insiders who’ve seen the first four episodes are calling this season the best yet.
But wait, there’s more. If Chuck does come back sooner rather than later, the chances of NBC ordering additional episodes beyond the 13 it initially commissioned increases dramatically. And they increase further if it performs solidly… which for NBC, at this point, means my cat, Mister Scooch, sits down to watch with me. (Seriously, anything above a 2 rating in the 18-49 demo should do the trick.)
Are we happy, people? Dumb question. Allow me to rephrase: How happy are we? Weigh in below!
Yep, we posted about that last week here.
If anyone that confronts him is smart at all you do not hit him–you probably would just break your hand, have to have it rebroken and reset, spend 10 weeks wired together and then 5 months rehabilitating it. If you broke your right hand and could not write it could cost you a year of college–Gosh I wonder who that could have happened to—the idea is you just shoot him and forget it.
SarSar, I think they are spending big bucks on visitors as a way to save the show–may be wrong, I just hope they pay the regulars well–a short season with an iffy future–they have to make a living too and I hope the whole crew stays –losing even one key player could end the game. I would like to see a big chunk of money spent on promoting season 3.
