We’ve been hearing rumors for weeks. Speculating for even longer than that. And now someone is actually going on the record (sort of) with Ausiello at EW about the possibility of Chuck coming back to our screens as early as the end of this month:
It’s good news (for me), bad news (for NBC): Since its numbers are down and its new and returning shows are mainly DOA (Southland was axed before new episodes even aired!), Chuck’s third season might get to premiere sooner than the March date that’s been bandied about thus far.“How much sooner†you ask?
As early as late October, my moles tell me. And while it remains unclear whether the little show that could (and has and shall again) would return to its Monday timeslot or find itself a new perch, NBC insiders who’ve seen the first four episodes are calling this season the best yet.
But wait, there’s more. If Chuck does come back sooner rather than later, the chances of NBC ordering additional episodes beyond the 13 it initially commissioned increases dramatically. And they increase further if it performs solidly… which for NBC, at this point, means my cat, Mr. Scooch, sits down to watch with me. (Seriously, anything above a 2 rating in the 18-49 demo should do the trick.)
Thoughts? I’ll admit, I’m stoked about the chance for Chuck to save NBC return early, especially since it does mean the chances of getting the full-season pickup increase exponentially, but at the same time I don’t know that NBC has time to launch the marketing campaign necessary to bring it back successfully 5 months ahead of time. Then again, this may mean we get a Chuck media blitz, and that can’t be a bad thing. (Dear NBC PR peeps: we are open to exploitation on Chuck‘s behalf.) Overall, thrilled! w00t!
Also: “NBC insiders who’ve seen the first four episodes are calling this season the best yet.” YES!
Nobody right now is watching NBC. What night are they talking. Wednesday the better night right now. Weakest overall competition. No promotion at this time and what NBC did with Southland I’m don’t trust the network will stand behind what they say about additional episodes. I believe TPTB were hoping for an earlier rather than later showing, But this move right now I don’t feel good for the long term
I think NBC should spend a few more dollars pomoting Chuck–I think the promos should utilize some of the strengths of the show–I’d like to see a couple of scenes used in the ads from The First Date–Some of Sarah’s great fight scenes and Chuck falling down the side of the building and being caught by Casey–I really think they would increase the retention of the ads and would at least have a chance of increasing viewers. They won a well deserved Emmy and you might as well ride a winning horse. They would be more memorable than the promos last time around and they are outstanding action and comedy.
I’m happy to here Chuck might come back early, but I’m also worried that NBC will not have time to promote it.The morons at NBC just can’t put it on as a filler.NBC needs to put on the last 3 or 4 weeks of season 2 to let people know about this great show and to advertise it.If they serious about doing this they should start now and not waste any more time.Just my opinion.LONG LIVE CHUCK!!!!
Before we start blasting NBC’s promo plans, let’s find out what they are, shall we? Who knows, come Monday we may have news that repeats of Chuck will air for a couple of weeks in advance of the season premiere.
It’s amazing that posters go straight to the negative here, whereas on EW they’re shouting for joy. If NBC decides to bring Chuck back in October, we’ll do everything we can to spread the excitement.
I agree 100 percent. Fans are stoked right now, and with the lousy shows on TV right now, Chuck will be welcome relief. I also have faith that it will do well.
The fan base has grown considerably over the summer.
It would be awesome if it came back this fall because really the olympics are not that long so the break wouldn’t be that big if they get a full 22.
Thanks for the tempering words. I’ll admit I was unenthusiastic about the news. I mean with a capital U. I think Chuck should be treated like their ace in the hole, not just the last card in the deck cause they’ve lost all their previous hand. But it is weird how different the fans are in Ausiello site than here, and in forums. I shall wait and see, hope for the best, and do my part in whatever I need to do!
It would have been better if they had started right at the beginning of the fall season. Where some might consider bringing it back early as a Hail Mary play, I think it demonstrates NBC has faith in the show and they know it can save their Network. Perhaps the shakeup in the Network exec recently has something to do with this.
Hi,
It’s a little odd timing, as I was in L.A. a few days ago and didn’t hear a whisper of this from the peeps at NBC or WB. Everyone there was in agreement that massive marketing during the Olympics was worth the painful wait, and that an early release would make it difficult to market (particularly with season 2 DVDs not set to release until February).
If this is indeed true, let’s get our engines running for a massive viral Facebook/Twitter/email/phone/Myspace/podcast/iReport/anything warfare to make sure the initial ratings are through the roof!
At least it would mean I could release the video interviews I shot in L.A. a lot sooner — we’d probably have a new podcast every 3-4 days.
Cheers,
G.
what does NBC’s schedule look like these days? I only watch… um… well I haven’t watched the third ep of Mercy yet. is there anything else on NBC i’m watching??
Woo-hoo! Some solid Chuck buzz to stoke the fires and get us all back into fighting form. *does the happy dance*
Whew! That dancing makes me hungry. I think I’ll go and buy something at Subway. (hint, hint) 😉
At first thought the only thing I want to do right now (if these records are sort of true) is jump for joy for Season 3 being my early Christmas present. But then my rational side kicks in, and I get worried for ratings and all that other jazz – you know, the stuff that makes me hate networks and the “requirement standards” they need to keep a show running.
…Meh, screw the rational side for now. I still want it by the end of this month. 🙂
Good new, bad news, ying, yang. We all know that this would be a great thing for those of us waiting that like instant gratification. I’m hoping that the good folks at NBC are THINKING THIS THROUGH. We got to them before, we can get to them now. Keep saying that they need to put on the last four episodes from S2 in advance of S3 so that we can get the buzz going. We need to pull as many strings as we did during the renewal campaign but now it should be directed towards getting new fans. And I’d really like more than 13 eps this year. It’s all good! Either way. Hey NBC! How about running “The Colonel” and “The Ring” as back to back eps? Kinda like a movie!
“the best season yet.” OMG OMG OMG I literally just died of happiness. I want to watch S3 NOW!!!
To me, this is great news! I think they shouldn’t move it to Wednesdays as someone mentioned. Come midseason Lost starts back up and it’s been a solid ratings powerhouse on Wednesdays.
Starting some season 2 reruns is a good start, then pump out some promo’s. Even if they get permission to use fan made vids, as some are more then worthy for air.
I’ll be spreading any news as much as I can to help get a full order and a solid pick up for a season 4.
I just don’t get it. What is true in March that isn’t true today? The Olympic promotion? Ok. That’s a good thing. But it also will have been off the air for 10 months, against established shows in midseason.
I say bring it on now. And as a fan base show Subway that we appreciate them being Chuck’s sweetheart (as long as it isn’t going to be Sarah anyway, lol).
It’s 2.5 average last year would make it a shoo in for renewal. It has a rabid base that will follow it anywhere and a sweetheart in Subway.
Why wait?
I’m definitely torn about this. I would love for Chuck to get the promotional boost of the Olympics, especially when the Olympics are in Vancouver, which means no taped delay of events= huge audiences.
OTOH, I wouldn’t complain if NBC brought it back now. HOWEVER, I truly hope NBC slots it on Wednesdays at 8pm. Why? Other than Fridays, that time slot is the least most watched time period of the week. The highest rated show is SYTYCD, which is getting a 2.5 in the demos. Second p[lace is CBS with a 2.0. These numbers are pathetic, and Chuck should be able to challenge second or even be first in the time slot.
But whatever NBC decides to do, I’ll support. If NBC decides to bring it back at the end of the month, we need to do everything we can to raise awareness.
I say get the show back on the air ASAP because who knows what will happen to programming if NBC gets sold to Comcast or some other entity. You know that programming heads will change if ownership changes at the network, and at the very least we’ll be into S3 if the craziness happens. Mobilize, Chucksters!
But let me add, the Wed 8pm time slot is fine during the fall, but come January it will be going up against American Idol
Wow, if Chuck is coming back earlier then expected I’m excited also. But also kind of scared, like previously mentioned NBC might not have time to do much promo. And with the winter Olympics airing on NBC around the corner that will mean another big gap between the episodes.
Well i look forward to hearing more news.
“the best season yet”
*dies*
THANK YOU!
As for the end of the month. YES
As Casey tried to warn Chuck in the season two premiere, the future can be a dangerous thing. No one knows what the landscape will exactly look like in March – NBC/Universal might be in different hands by then and they might decide to go in different direction with the network.
Right now might be the only opportunity Chuck gets.
I say, get the show on as early as possible in a time slot where it has a chance. Right now, NBC is incredibly weak, and if Chuck can carry it’s previous ratings it’s going to look like one of the strongest arrows in the network’s quiver.
If the show is truly as strong as the early buzz suggests, it might hold up against this fall’s mediocre new slate of shows.
I’m torn. More because an early release likely means the 13 episode arc is going to get elongated. This could cripple the chances Chuck had to present a tight, lean, and straight ahead storyline. A real opportunity to raise the bar and in the process the show’s awareness.
Monkey around with that, throw in the Olympic break, and we get another interrupted season with another momentum breaker. This time it could be a series killer.
Short term pain for long term gain. I chose the latter. Leave Chuck till after the Olympics.
Lou; What if Ali Adler is smart enough to do TWO lengthy story arcs? The first 13 (that would end on a cliff hanger) and a new story arc for the back 9?
That would be my preference. Please don’t change the original 13 episode arc!
THAT sounds like a plan! Plus, you could use the Olympics to promote the “return” of CHUCK and it’s “back nine” story arc. Yes, interruptions have hurt the show in the past, but big television events that promote CHUCK are not guarantees for the show’s survival. Let’s be honest. It wasn’t the Superbowl promo that “saved” the show – it was an idea by one of the fans to eat Subway sandwiches!
Bring it back now for the 13 episode arc. Promote it now with appearances by Zach and Yvonne on all of NBC’s MANY talk shows – do some kind of in-store Subway thing (Chuck posters or whatever) and get the ball rolling. NBC CAN promote the show’s return now. Then you can STILL do an Olympic promotion “post interruption” for the back 9 (basically a “second season within a S3” of CHUCK) and see how that pans out.
Waiting until March and the Olympics doesn’t guarantee anything. Roll the dice. An early return gets people talking, too. Either way, now or March, there’s no guarantee of an S4 for Chuck. The “new guy” (Gaspin) may just decide to clean house after this season and Chuck could go by the wayside. Bring it on now and let’s hope for a 22 episode S3 – and who knows? – maybe even an S4!!
VERY WELL SAID!
There it is! Let’s get this thing rolling. Subway, anyone?
I say BRING CHUCK BACK NOW – the sooner, the better. There’s absolutely no guarantee that a March return will do the trick. They could spend two weeks prior to the show promoting the heck out of it, getting Zach and Yvonne on Leno or Conan or whoever’s talk show, get Subway doing some kind of promo thing, and get started.
We put a lot of stock in the whole Olympics promo thing, but there’s no guarantee that that will be the solution to Chuck’s problems.
Perhaps a different night (some seem to think Wednesday would be good) and/or maybe a different time. Whatever.
The long wait just COULD be the death of the show, not a better shot at S4.
So I’m on board with the fans who say, if the timing looks right to bring it back soon, then bring it back SOON!!
How about they promote it with a weekend Chuckathon before the season premiere. Show the last 6 episodes of S2 on Friday and Saturday evenings 8 to 11 followed up by Zach and Sarah cohosting Saturday Night Live with musical guest Jeffster.
We chuckaholics could get on twitter as we watch like we do with chuckme mondays. I would gladly give up one weekend to promote Chuck.
I love this! Heh Heh!
YES! PLEASE DO SOMETHING, NBC, LISTEN TO THE FANS’ IDEAS!! PROMOTE CHUCK.
KRISTIN here we comes!
Seriously, folks, if this rumor has legs, let’s start the publicity machine going again.
It must be true, the chuckmeout website actually has some new content up. To me that is a sign, because it has been sitting stagnant for about a month.
As for bringing it back early vice waiting, I’m all for it.
I did buy into the short-term pain for long-term gain, until I realized that with only a few exceptions, just about everything on TV right now is crap. Chuck has a great chance to outshine the other networks in just about any time slot.
My preference would be Tuesday night at 9. In my opinion the only thing keeping the ratings high for NCIS LA is the fact that there is no credible competition.
I am also torn about the news. I see both sides, that an early comeback will build the momentum, but then the holiday and olympic breaks could kill it again. Just seems like NBC is getting trigger happy. Yes 22 eps would be awesome, but only if they treat it as the original 13 is one “season” if you will, and then use the back 9 as sort of the next “season” with new ideas and not just stretching out the storyline of the original 13.
Its true we dont know what the March landscape will be like. But at least chuck would be back in its original slot where ppl know to find it. At this point in time, I see it on Mondays either with Trauma the next to be axed and it at 9, or Trauma axed and chuck back at 8. I only say this bc the numbers say Mercy is in better shape and I dont see NBC moving it.
I just thought of another promo idea. Have Zach, Yvonne and the rest of the Chuck gang do public service announcements for the We Heart Chuck campaign. It would get people thinking about Chuck and help raise money for a worthy charity at the same time. Doesn’t that sound like a win-win proposition?
I’m already Tweeting about it again. Let’s get going!
If all the other shows a crap maybe people will be more likely to watch a good show like Chuck!
I was the first who said it : “On another note: the NBC just canceled Southland and we might see Chuck much early but i hear they are in financial issues and with the low ratings they had it doesn’t sound good for a fourth season of Chuck” 😀
Some people talk about the show not being promoted if they start early but i say why not start early and also do the promotion during the olympics?
If the directors saw Southland and they didn’t like it and then saw Chuck and they like it and that’s the reason behind canceling Southland and move Chuck forward? Maybe even a back 9 episodes to make it a 22 season. 😀
Let’s hope Chuck can do better than Heroes, Jay Leno and the other shows on NBC and we will get a 4th season. 🙂
I am of two minds as to whether it is good or bad for Chuck to return in October. It is great for us Chuck Fans. It is a big ratings gamble for NBC. Although one advantage that Chuck has over any other show is the partnership between NBC and Subway. Not to mention that I am sure that The American Heart Association has also seen Chuck as a worthwhile show which has helped their cause. This should compel NBC not to just drop Chuck into the water and watch it either sink or swim. Subway has and will be investing heavily into Chuck and this should encourage NBC to follow through. Also we Definitely don’t know what events or landscape will be taking place in March. If they wait and something happens it could make things worse for Chuck’s ratings and/or mess up the perfect plan of it’s return in March. How many times did Chuck get preempted by Presidential Addresses? We obviously can’t predict that, or natural disasters or man made disasters, etc. Or even changes within NBC itself. I am just saying that the perfect March air date could be ruined by unforeseen circumstances and make matters worse for Chuck.
If it does come back in the end of October please please show your undying support for Chuck and Subway by buying as many Subway Footlongs as you can afford and can stand eating. If Subway notices another spike in their sales for the premiere it can only help Chuck in the long run. I bought 6 Subway Footlongs for Chuck Versus The Ring and will probably Buy More (Spelling pun intended) for the Season 3 premiere. Thanks!!
VIVA LA BUY MORIA!!!!!!
Earlier premiere of Chuck will DEFINITELY make my year!!!!
I love Chuck and Sarah but the two guest stars (Kristin Kreuk & Brandon Routh) will definitely spice things up ^^
Anyone with me with this one?
I’m with you! 🙂 I practically on cloud 9 that Brandon Routh will be in the show. Love him! I think he and Zac are friends; they worked together in a movie called “Stuntment”.
This part needs to be repeated from my last post:

Yeah, my thoughts EXACTLY. I really want the show to return ASAP BUT it needs promotion. Lots ot it.
I really don’t understand WHY the show is not more popular, IMO, Chuck it’s an awesome show! It’s really fun (lots more than BBT), romantic, full on action, has a great cast, very good acting, and that music is fantastic. Chuck totally deserves a bigger audience. What went wrong?? BTW, I’m a newbie into this show, one month in and I so love it!
LONG LIVE CHUCK!
I trust Chuck and Chuck fans will make this work. I was just over at the EW.com website, and the early return of Chuck is their most talked about post. I think one of the first things we can do is keep adding comments to that website. People have a tendency to jump on the band wagon. If they see a show is creating a lot of buzz, they are likely to check it out.
I plan to keep adding comments to the site myself because I have not run into anybody that hates Chuck. I have only run into people that love the show or haven’t seen it yet. If we can get people to watch just one episode, I believe we will have them hooked.
Also, this Monday night is a Chuckathon Chuckme Monday with 3 episodes: the Ex, the Fat Lady, and The Gravitron starting at 8, 9 and 10 PM. I know for some fans these were not your favourite episodes, but lets make an extra effort to trend on twitter – its another promotional tool we can use.
Playing armchair quarterback here, this is the sequence of events I’m seeing based on bits and pieces I’ve seen reported in the trades and reputable outlets like E! and EW, and mentioned by those involved in making Chuck:
* Gaspin (reputed to be a Chuck fan) replaces Silverman as Chairman of the network;
* NBC received ep 3.01 several weeks ago and thought it looked good but needed to see more before making any decisions;
* NBC’s fall lineup debuts to less than stellar praise from the critics or the fans;
* NBC pushes back Southland’s premiere date (possibly because of production issues, possibly to avoid competing against the Monk/Psych fall season finales on the 16th; not sure on the reasoning here);
* New shows like Trauma and Mercy aren’t holding up while former hits like Heroes and Law & Order: SVU are fading fast (in the case of SVU, likely because it’s on at 9PM instead of 10PM thanks to Leno);
* NBC sees first 3-4 episodes of Southland and is not impressed;
* NBC sees Chuck episodes 3.02-3.04 and IS impressed;
* NBC cancels Southland before it can cost them any more money;
* “Sources” (aka NBC) leak early return for Chuck to get the buzz going in advance of a promo campaign.
That’s just my take on what got us to yesterday’s near bombshell. What happens next? The fans rally behind Chuck and NBC, of course, and Chuck returns triumphantly with a 3.5 rating in the 18-49 demo, and we get a fourth season pickup announcement in January. 😉
Mel,
You have exceptional skills as an armchair quarterback. Superbowl winning armchair quarterback skills.
That is my perception as well.
I know the Olympic promotion might have been good, but lets face it there is so little good entertainment in the fall lineup of all networks, that I think this is the perfect time to bring back Chuck.
As for timeslot – I think there are lots of timeslots to choose from that would work for Chuck. I have heard a lot of people suggest 8 PM on Wed nights, and I’m sure that would work. Since Chuck is classed as an action comedy, why not replace the failed comedies and put it on Thursday at 8 PM. Community and P & R as I understand it are not doing that well.
If Chuck comes back early, why couldn’t Chuck put the shoe on the other foot and do funny, cool, Olympic promos to promote the Olympics instead of the other way around?
Yes – I could see Casey, Sarah and Chuck in a Bob Sled, or Chuck and Sarah in pairs figure skating.
Laughing just thinking about the possibilities.
LOL! Love it.
As I’ve read all these posts, I’m even more certain that bringing Chuck back early is a good thing. SO many of NBC’s new shows are duds. No spark at all. With any luck, they’ll get somebody to produce promos that delight the fan base (Chuck to the rescue?) while sparking the attention of bored viewers who might stop by. We do need some ingenious person (far more ingenious than I) to come up with the next Subway campaign going into this, though, and it needs to start NOW. Even if NBC doesn’t put the show back on early. Buzz is buzz.
I think the genie is out of the bottle now. Considering the response here, at EW.com and on the NBC Chuck boards they would have a mob of angry villagers with pitchforks outside their offices if they don’t put it on early.
Gord had a great idea (we started a thread on the NBC board for ideas to promote the show). I’m cutting and pasting it here, but Gord rocks! Hope you don’t mind Gord!
“I thought of anonther way to tie in Subway and Chuck.
Subway ads with Chuck, Casey and Sarah pulling up in the nerdherder to pickup subway sandwiches for a stakeout. There are so many funny ways they could do those ads.
For example:
Close-in shot on the inside of the nerdhearder – dramatic music playing in the background.
Sarah: “This is an important mission, are you ready Chuck?”
Chuck: “Shouldn’t I just stay in the car”
Casey: “Listen-up Bartowski, we all have to do our duty – now go out there and don’t screw it up”
Chuck exits the car enters the Subway
Clerk: “How can I help you”
Chuck gets the order for all three of them, and as he gets back into the car he says “You know, this spy stuff is pretty easy”.
Casey grunts, and Sarah says after she has a bite of her sandwich – “you forgot the extra pickles”.
Chuck shrugs his shoulders and puts on that silly apollogetic smile of his.”
Like so many others I would like to see the show come back earlier. There are a few shows like “The Closer” which is coming back this winter and possibly even Castle that I think might be difficult for Chuck to compete against. I think the night and time slot will be important particularly if people get hooked on another show during the Chuck absence.
Like most people I want to see Chuck season 3 with 22 episodes to start next week, however if our chances of seeing a season 4 become a reality by waiting then waiting is the thing to do. I think we can at least all agree that we all want a season 4. In the mean time eat Subway sandwiches and buy Toyota automobiles–I gave credit for my recent purchase of a Toyota Avalon to Chuck during a Toyota consumer interview. Every time I eat a subway I mention Chuck-most people making the sandwiches look at you in a strange way-sometimes with a knife in their hands.
If Chuck is going to get stellar numbers when it comes back in few weeks (I am trying to spread good karma here.), it needs to stay away from Monday Nights. Not that Chuck can’t kick box the other shows on other networks, but those shows have a very dedicated fan base. I am all for Wednesday nights, kind of like a “help you over the hump” kind of thing. All of the shows on Wednesday are weak and have no creativity to them what so ever which will help Chuck out shine!
I also think that NBC should think about doing two seasons this year (TNT did this with the Closer and I thought that it was a great idea.More DVD sells anyone?) Have season three be 13 episodes, and then a few months later start up season four with another set of 13 episodes. I agree with Zac that cable does it right. 13 episodes is a perfect amount of time to get the story across and leave the audience begging for more. This way having a season five would be a no brainer.
Whatever happens, the fan base needs to spread the word however we can. I think that everyone should dress up like a nerd heard or green shirt for Halloween. What a great way to promote a great show!
let me add my own voice to this joyful chorus: yey!
Will it or won’t it sounds like will they or won’t they. Hard to tell what may
or may not happen because so much is up in the air and could change instantly
depending on what happens with the rest of NBC’s fall schedule.
Really do like the idea of the back nine if ordered, can be split with the
original 13 to make a new mini season. Will anybody at NBC see these interesting ideas here and at least consider them? Fully agree early return
will need good promotion and a decent time slot but will that really happen?
If the show returns early will that mean a early season 2 dvd release? Would
be nice if that happened. Guess we’ll have to wait and see…..
I have a theory, that they put the rumour of an early return out to see what fan reaction would be.
From what I have seen on this site, the comments on EW.com and at the NBC message boards, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
At EW.com it is the most talked about post. Right here we have over 60 comments generated already.
If I were a betting man, I would say that this is the kind of response NBC was looking for.
It is also a good indication that when Chuck returns in a few weeks time, there will be so much buzz that it will start with amazing ratings as long as they place it in a good time slot.
I am all for the early return and agree with everyone that the success is really ours to make or break. Mel is right in saying that we don’t know what NBC has planned, but I humbly submit that their previous efforts have been lackluster, and with so few people watching NBC in the first place, we will need all the buzz we can get! I vote for Chuck coming back on Wednesday nights at 8. You can read my full comments on our blog (I won’t repeat them here) if you like. I follow the ratings over on www.tvbythenumbers.com and I think if you look at the numbers for Wednesday nights, Chuck would do well. It also gives Chuck a chance at gaining a good foothold before American Idol returns. Trying to be positive and looking forward to helping in any way I can!
Sorry, I left of our blog address: http://chuckthisblog.wordpress.com/
Enjoy!
If it does come back, I hope they do a good PR effort and put it in a good time slot. I never liked the idea of putting it on Monday woth Heroes. If any NBC execs are reading, put it on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Also, I wonder what this would mean for the season 2 DVD?
All for Oct. start. March is so far away. Chuck is only TV show I watch live & DVR. Also on NBC website. Subway Here I Com.
But where is the Chuck Season 2 dvd set? If our favorite show returns early the dvd set must also come out early!
I can certainly understand the skepticism of some. I talk about the show ad nauseum among my close friends and everyone at work (a Las Vegas Strip Casino). I’ve found that only a handful in my group has already watched or are interested in the future based on my seemingly feeble tub-thumping.
I’ve even used sexy photos of Sarah/Yvonne as logos of my fantasy teams while using Chuck/Sarah themes as titles for those teams. The league in which I am commissioner I’ve got a giant photo of Yvonne in the middle of the website on ESPN.
The wives of all the members of the league openly wonder who their husbands are looking at. Naturally, they think it’s some kind of porn star or something. My friends just tell them, “that’s Yvonne KG’s girl friend.”
Anyway, I’m stoked too. I’ll hope NBC does the right thing before passing judgement and we can all do our part to promote the show to help inusure it’s long-term viability.
I had another idea for ways NBC/Subway could promote the show.
Have subway ads where Chuck, Sarah and Casey pull up to a Subway in a nerdherder to get sandwiches for a stakeout.
So many funny ways they could do those ads.
Me I was so thrilled by all the news, that I went out and had subway for supper last night.
I will be there on Monday night too for Chuckme Mondays. We may not have too many Chuckme Mondays left before S3 starts. It may end up becoming a Chuckme Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. (Please not Fridays)
This is fantastic. It is worth mentioning that Ausiello isn’t the only person talking about this possibility. On the most recent episode of IGN’s channel surfing podcast (they’re big fans of Chuck), they were saying that with Southland canceled and NBC’s other shows performing terribly (because of Jay Leno), they would not be surprised at all to see Chuck come back.
I don’t suppose there are any rumours out there as to when they will announce the decision?
They better do it quickly, so they can start promoting it.
If this is true, shouldn’t they START PROMOTING?????
