When Gray was in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago, he scored several interviews with members of the Chuck cast for Chuck vs the Podcast, including upcoming guest star Kristin Kreuk (best known for her role as Lana Lang on Smallville). Her interview will be featured in a podcast closer to the date her first episode airs, but Gray did share some impressions on his blog:
Today, Zac and Kristin Kreuk were shooting a scene in stage 10 at the same time that Ryan McPartlin and Sarah Lancaster were shooting at the home set.Despite these time savings, there is still a lot to do…  Kristin told me that they shoot about 8 script pages a day, which is apparently quite fast, and makes for some rather long days.

First up was Kristin Kreuk.  Because there was a scene shooting at the time, our interview was interrupted and we had a few minutes to talk.  Boy, she is a sweetie!  But she’s also very intelligent, and passionate about helping people.  She is in the process of building an online community to strengthen teen girls, Girls by Design.  She also told me about how she loves to travel, but not in a touristy way — she researches different cultures, and does her best to go “off the beaten path.â€

She’s going to be a GREAT addition to S3. There are people who might not have liked the character of Lana in Smallville – but how can you NOT root for someone who at the age of three sees her parents get incinerated by a flaming 5 ton piece of Kryptonite??
Bottom line – she was great in her role as Lana Lang, and she’ll be GREAT in her role as Hanah on CHUCK!!! Rock on, Kristin!! Can’t wait for your episodes!

since kristin is in the castle does that she mean she is a spy… cause that will be serz awesum in a big big way. As much as i am against the whole triangle thing i reckon it will be cool if chuck had a fling wit a good spy,i think it will just prove to both sarah and chuck that they can be together (this will take place after both kristin and brandons characters go away).

CF#1: No the Castle set is often used for interviews.
Armando: Kruek is in more than one episode – as is Routh – not sure of the number yet, but at least 4 of them.
Geeker: From Gray’s blog, stage 10 houses the Castle and O-O sets plus it is used for temporary ones.
Rick: Its Hannah with two n’s. 😉 Love those girls whose names are palindromes!
Thanks OD. I was curious because Grey said the Castle set wasn’t being used that day but they were shooting in Stage #10. If Stage #10 houses O-O and Castle then the scenes must have been in O-O then. I would think it would be a bit early to have a newbie in Castle. Specially after letting Jill in. 🙂

OldDarth – Thanks for the correction!! You know what’s funny, I seem to remember Morgan saying something to Chuck in one episode about “never dating a woman whose name is a palindrome” (re: Anna) or something like that. Wouldn’t that be a hoot if it IS Morgan that is part of a potential “triangle” with Hannah? 🙂 Then you’d have Morgan & TWO palindrome girls (hopefully Julia Ling will be back as Anna – not seeing or hearing much about her lately, however).
I would love to see Hannah Vs Anna for Morgan’s affections.
I think they said in the Casting announcement at EW.com that Morgan would be interested in Hannah. I could just see part way through the Hannah episodes, Anna returning and fighting for her man.
Then again Hannah might just be Ellie’s replacement for Morgan, now that Ellie married Awesome.
Somebody he is interested in, but has absolutely no interest in Morgan.
There are so many comic possibilities.

Didnt the insider who revealed that hannah is going to be in the storyline say that chuck and her would have feelings for each other. Also i do think she is going to be a love interest for chuck as brandon rouths character will be a love interest for sarah, because it was stated that there will be a ‘love parallelogram’, andb/c both characters appear in sthe same episodes doesnt it make sense that both of them will be part of the parralellogram?

No surprise at all. Carina is in the second episode and Morgan tries for her even with a big scary boyfriend like Kurt Stromberg around. Of course he’s going to try for Hannah. I like Morgan a lot but I think he should stay away from girls for the next 15 years too.
Can Hannah just hook up with BR`s character?
NOOOOO! Please no. It’d be incredibly cheesy, plus I don’t dig her as an actress at all. REALLY hope they don’t have much to do with one another in the show. Sorry, as a big Superman fan I HATED her character of Lana in Smallville. She is tainted for me. But I like Chuck so much that I will have to tolerate her.

Besides, she just looks too young to be considered a serious love interest for a guy like Shaw, who I assume will be like a really top agent. Nothing personal against Kreuk but she doesn’t fit in a show like this to me. Just look at the pictures.. She has nothing on Yvonne or Sarah Lancaster, who look like women.
Kreuk would fit better in shows like Tree Hill or Gossip Girl. But like I said, I’ll have to tolerate her cuz I love Chuck so much.
I also want to see her with BR. It will be fun to see.
Seems like you dislike an actress because of another role she played… not because of the actress herself. Keep an open mind.

An actress is tainted for you because she played a character that you disliked? Riigghhht!! She was acting you know? Loathe Lana or love her, Kristin is a class act and I can’t wait to see her in Chuck. It’s not a show I watch but I will because I’ve missed seeing Kristin on my screen.
Also speaking as a woman of Kristin’s age, I would MUCH rather look too young then too old. I’m sure everyone would.

And it’s mostly her acting (way too melodramatic to my tastes. Something I never see in a show like Chuck, thankfully) that I just don’t like. Hopefully the directors of Chuck will be able to direct her better. And please, NO Shaw/Hanna hooking up. It’d ruin this great show for me.
If the Chuck director’s can make Nicole Ritchie look good, I’m sure they’ll do a bang up job with Kristin Kreuk. I agree she looks young, but not everybody can be a sexy, mature woman like myself. 😉

I watched smallville a while ago,i think Kristen can act,her role was supposed to be dramatic,and she did a great job at that,and plus she was really Funny at Eurotrip.So,it`s a great addition for me.

Kristin Kreuk will be best fit for Chuck. She is really a good actress – not only pretty and funny but can kick some ass.
