Chuck! Season 3!
And he is staying longer and starting sooner. (Just like a good Carmichael would. 😉 ) That is right. Longer! NBC is all-but-confirmed to be ordering 6 additional episodes. Not only that, Chuck may be back in January!
That is celebratory news Chucksters! But it is also a call to action. Chuck beat the odds and won third season thanks to the powerful combination of critical outcry and a dedicated fan base. Now we need to get the word out and help the show grow!
Earlier this month ChuckMeOut asked fans to help spread the message about the wonders of Chuck by emailing the pilot episode to fans… we’re asking you all to embrace that challenge and take it a step further with a more comprehensive “Refer a Friend” program. Personal referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations are an effective means of gaining new customers and dedicated fans. Let’s rally together once again and share Chuck’s pilot among friends and family to grow our ranks.

- Chuck is like The Princess Bride, but with spies…it blends a sense of fun, adventure, joy, and humor all with a smile, a wink, and an 80’s pop culture reference.

I know it seems like a daunting task, but I also know it can be done. How can I be so sure? Because 20 days before the season finale of Chuck in April, I had a crazy little idea pop into my mind. And even though I knew it was probably impossible to pull off, I still wrote the following words onto a Post-It in my home office: “Subway – Finale & a Footlong.â€Â And look what happened with that idea.
Trust me… the most amazing things can happen when we band together and simply try.
Cheers!

*Special thanks to Lou Sytsma and Leah Carter for their input & to the NBC team at ChuckMeOut.com for the genesis of this idea!
It is unfortunate, here in Canada we can’t watch the pilot. However, I have been working on friends every chance I get. Even a few strangers. The geek squad techs from Best Buy that delivered my new TV wanted to test and make sure everything was working right before leaving. I popped in the DVD with the Chuck pilot on it and let it run.
For some reason it took them close to 45 minutes to test the DVD player. Neither of them had heard of the show before, but they loved it. The first comment was that they loved the sound track, then they thought the scene with Bryce breaking into the intersect was awesome and when they saw the Buy More they were loving it.
If only the online videos would work outside the US :-(.
But I’m plugging it on Facebook, Blogger, Livejournal, Dreamwidth and Twitter [GGG].
