the part that touched me the most was when Sarah was watching the video that KARINA HAD GIVEN HER at the end of the second episode. it showed how much both are affected with the situation that agents cannot fall in love, especially with one another. It just saddens me to see how untruthful Sarah has become towards his feelings but it just makes the plot more interesting. The fact that it has been obvious since day one that Chuck would eventually get the hot blonde and live happily ever after but in this case their love for one another is still being tested. Im just very anticipated to watch the coming episodes because of the development of their situations.
one of the thing that bothered me was the disappearance of Anna from the show. The feisty Asian girl who has proven to love Morgan with no strings attached and loves him even though he acts his ways. I just couldn’t believe that she would run away with a different man. but what can i say maybe the Hawaii weather messed up her brain
I can believe that Anna would run off with someone else, but only if Morgan…well, pulled a Morgan and did something in a fit of temporary Morganish insanity. Given how much she’s put up with from him in the past, though, it’s a stretch.
I hope Julia Ling can be brought back for the back six episodes, though. The Buy More is too dude-tastic without her.
The first two episodes didn’t really feel like “Chuck” to me, but I do have a definite favorite scene there – the bo training scene was romantic angst done right for a change, with Chuck and Sarah firmly in character, the music working perfectly with the emotions of the moment without taking over, and…well, I guess I enjoyed Sarah’s rage and Chuck arguing back more than Chuck whining and Sarah refusing to talk.
The death of Emmit was very uncalled for. i was so shocked when the assassin shot him in the eye! well at least big Mike is back as manager and the the whole buy more staff loves it! I.m just happy that the whole gang was back at buy more because if Chuck and Casey did not return, it would have been the end of Jeffster!
The “let’s be friends” scene at the end of episode three was difficult to watch because it seems the whole show is now reset with Chuck and Sara’s relationship, and Chuck being protected (protecting those around him) by Sara and Casey. Was sad for me because it feels as if the last two years of character and relationship development was lost in the “Six Months Later” segway in episode 1.
i thought the same thing, its kind of a bummer that 2 years of building a relationship has been pushed back so far cause of intersect 2.0…although they did set it up well and prevented it from getting boring or too comfortable…and this will allow for more character development
It’s not a total reset, not given the motel room scene in “Colonel” and Chuck’s outright confession of love in “Three Words”. Two years ago they barely knew each other, and Chuck certainly didn’t think Sarah would ever love him. That’s completely changed.
That said, when it comes to this relationship the writers need to make up their minds – I’m happy with Chuck and Sarah as friends and I’m happy with Chuck and Sarah as a couple; it’s the angst that needs to go. Chuck has plenty of other conflicts in his life that aren’t nearly as annoying and can keep the show interesting even if he and Sarah are in spy bliss together.
First episode was rushed, it could have been at least 2 hours….LOVED the final 2 minutes of Episode 2 – Sarah’s emotions were so real…realizing why she has falling in love with Chuck, his innosence,
Favorite moment was first seeing Ellie in her gala dress – holy moly is Lancaster gorgeous. : )
All kidding aside it was when Chuck told awesome Sarah would take out those to two guards at the door and his face while she kicked butt.
The end of episode 3.02 was definitely one of Yvonne’s best emotional moments of the series. Absolutely LOVED it.
And the bo scene! Zac and Yvonne did an excellent job with emotion and saying everything without actually saying it. Even if it wasn’t considered romantic, I still think it was one of the best Charah scenes we’ve had so far in the series.
my favorite part of the 3 episode was the training scene between chuck and sarah. You can totaly feel the tension between then. When she was screaming at him flash, atack, i was so thinking: kiss her you silly boy.
I also love it that she was so hurt that him didn’t run away with her, if anyone had any doubt about how sarah felt about chuck, now can be sure: she loves him…
ow, and that scene that she cry, well there were tears in her eyes, when she saw the video that corina (i love her) gave her that showed chuck declaring all his love for her….
BTW: I LOVE CHUCK!!!!
Dance scene between Chuck and Sarah – Awesome.
By the way, has anyone else noticed how the third episode of every season always seems to have a salsa dance theme integrated into it? First season was Chuck and La Ciudad, and second season was Sarah and Bryce…
There seem to be a lot of people who hated this scene…but I personally thought Chuck and Sarah at the train station was spectacular.
It kinda bothered me that Anna got written of the show with a glib comment ‘Oh she ran off with ___’ I personally hope she got recruited by the NSA for her awesome ninja girl skills and comes back for those last 6 episodes.
I had to laugh when Chuck told Morgan that he and Sarah were just talking. In my neck of the woods that means you’re not dating but just having a physical relationship. Loved the end of 3.02, it was subtle yet emotional. They had a moment at the end of 3.03 that shows that their spark isn’t gone and in spite of everything its the actions that speak the loudest.
I was shocked when they killed emmit. I knew it was coming, but that it happened so fast, with out any preamble was crazy. I feel like emmit didn’t get the send off he deserved. Great to have Big Mike back though
I was concerned about how the Buy More was gonna be linked to Chuck but loved how the addictive cheesy puffs were from the store so Chuck had to return to get more. I also loved how they showed up at their party in the next episode. I wish Anna and Emmet hadn’t gotten eliminated so quickly. They brought spunk to the show.
I agree. I think it would be awesome to find out that Anna has been off honing her spy skills, only to return in the back six episodes as a kick ass spy type
Think the Ring recruited her?
That would be awesome if the Ring recruited Anna while she thinks she’s working for the CIA or NSA (very Alias-like even)
I didn’t read any spoilers so I was surprised that Emmett was killed off. Though its kinda sad but rather poetic that the music he died to was Wilson Phillips.
I liked the train station scene, it was poetic seeing Sarah be the emotional one for once while Chuck put the greater good ahead of his wants/needs/happiness.
The “it’s quite a mess we’ve made” scene when Chucks picking up after Morgans party. It was a really good scene to not resolve all their problems but show that they will eventually and give Chuck and Sarah a little bit of closure.
I loved the first three episodes, some people are worried that it has changed too much from the first season but I think its developing in a really good way.
Personally I loved the Chuck/Sarah flashbacks, she looked so sad when he gave put the ticket in her hand at the train station.
I really enjoyed the end of episode 3. When you see Awesome walk into the room with the assassin was such a “OH CRAP!” moment, I was honestly worried for his life. Too bad NBC’s ad’s ruined the surprise. But I am glad to know Devon is still alive.
Also, I liked the “fight” scene with Sarah and Chuck, like someone mentioned before, I could really feel the tension between the two characters, and Yvonne’s acting was great. When she was yelling at Chuck and trying to get him to flash I could really feel her pain.
I, too, am sad how Intersect 2.0 has kinda reset a lot of the development, but I realize that it’s for the better, because these characters need to be pushed around a bit and develop in different ways. Good start to the season over all, can’t wait for Monday.
I really liked the flashbacks, but i feel like they gave the entire series a much darker tone. Where’s the happy chuck?
I really like the scene in “Chuck vs the Angel of Death” where Sarah and Ellie discuss her relationship with Chuck, while Chuck does the same simultaneously with Captain Awesome.
I also like how Captain Awesome spoke Spanish, further showing his awesomeness.
I was really impressed by these episodes they were all so good. I mean of course I thought it would be great but most of the time I felt like I was watching a movie. I have to give props to well, all the actors but especially Yvonne because when she was mad at Chuck for leaving her at the station I felt her pain as if I was in her head. I also felt so much tension between Chuck and Sarah. But even with all that drama in the love aspect, the spy stuff still carried itself as enough reason to watch. Another reminder of why I LOVE this show so much.
I had no idea they wrote of Anna’s character. I think she may still return (hopefully). And as for Emmit, he got what he deserved but the Buy More won’t be as funny without someone like Emmit to make fun of and be the butt of all the jokes and schemes. I also look forward to seeing Chuck and Sarah’s relationship develop with the introduction of some new love interests for both of them. I love Kristin Kreauk so I am super excited about her appearance on Chuck!!!! It’s funny how they got two superman characters to join Chuck! Anyways, looking forward to the rest of season three and the excitement that comes with it!!
I really like the scene where chuck and his
double where dodging the lasers
I occured to me today, thinking back over the season 3 episodes that Emmit’s death may well be the first time anyone has been killed to a Wilson Philips song. Whether his death was necessary is another debate in itself, but it was shocking and unexpected none the less. I thought the scene was very well done and it did allow them to smoothly reset the situation at the Buy More, so to speak. Though, in the related scene, I am not entirely sure why Casey would lie to Chuck about what happened to Emmit, unless Casey didn’t want Chuck freaking out about what could happen to all his friends because of his spy life.
Morgan and Corina – that was a great moment for the lovable loser.
As Cap’n Awesome put it, ‘Muy Awesome!’ The only real complaint I could possibly have would be the quick offing of Emmett, who I find hillariously annoying, but almost essential, and of Anna, who was the gal amongst the BuyMore Crew, no idea why she had to go. R.I.P. fellas, and hopefully some of these ideas of Anna returning turn out to be true.
You know, Bryce was ‘gunned down’ in the pilot for season one, and he came back for quite some time. Didn’t understand how that event went down, so maybe likewise Emmett could return from the season 3 pilot death? Eh, probably not, but I’m hoping for it. Gotta have an annoying antagonist to make BuyMore heroics seem a daunting task.
Honestly, I found it funny when everyone was referring to Chuck as “The Lemon” and how when Casey was talking with Sarah he wouldn’t let Chuck get too close to overhear what was being said.
One part I wasn’t overly a huge fan of was how quickly and suddenly Emmett was killed off but I suppose that was done for the Shock Factor (and because he was such a slimy character); personally, I would have made him suffer a bit through a kidnapping, torture and finally death.
I have to say that Chuck came back with a mission to really captivate viewers in a way that I don’t think has been seen from the show before. Taking it in this new direction (with Chuck being able to flash skills now along with information) I thought was going to be disastrous, but Schwartz proved that he knew what he was doing with the first three episodes. I love how they easily erased what I thought was one of the biggest mistakes of Season 2 (Emmett) with little fanfare or hubbub, exactly what the character deserved. Then they used the fact that Awesome knows about Chuck in a way that was expertly done. Not only that the writing seems to be putting a lot more emphasis on the relationships of the characters, with Chuck/Sarah going through everything they are and seeing Awesome worry about Ellie when they were in the middle of the action. They just seem to have gotten everything down in these first few episodes and I look forward to seeing how this season plays out, and to the next season (because the ratings seem to be holding strong, even more considering how screwed NBC is with their prime-time line-up)
I loved any scene with Chuck and Awesome interacting. We don’t always get to see much of Awesome and I think it’s great that the writers gave Chuck someone he can be truthful with about his spy life. It must be a relief for Chuck but I’m sure Sarah and Casey hate it.
I also like that Ellie and Awesome moved out. They’re married now and there’s no way a pair of newlyweds wants to be living with the bride’s brother. I can’t wait to see how Morgan and Chuck get along as roommates!
The tone of the first episode was very different from what we expected and love from Chuck but as the series goes on, I found episode 2 to be already way better and was releif to see the comedy back in episode 3.
It feels so good to see chuck again with brand new episodes…
Loved the scene which the show payed its respects to “ROCKY” with Casey ask if Chuck was ready and Chuck said “Let’s do this.” And “Eye of the Tiger” fading us out of the episode.
I was so excited to watch the new episodes from Chuck’s 3rd season. However, I was a bit disappointed by the first 2 episodes (especially the 2nd one) only to be completely blown away by episode 3.
Here are my thoughts on the first 3 episodes.
EP 1 – A bit more dark than the usual Chuck episode. Holy crap at Emett being killed and the word “pussy” being said on the show. I liked this episode but it wasn’t very good. I think they were just trying to cover too much ground with a single episode. Also, please stop with the Chuck Sarah will they won’t they crap already. And WTF happened to Anna? I think her scenes with Morgan and the rest of the buy more cast were pretty entertaining.
EP 2 – The worst episode for me thus far. I liked the fact that Carina returned but the episode as a whole didn’t really entertain me much. It was tiring to see Chuck trying to talk to Sarah about their status while in the middle of a mission – seriously, how long have the writers been doing this? And it felt like the writers were just trying to include Morgan and the Buy more Guys in this episode for the sake of including them in it. Morgan got some in the end though
EP 3 – Oh man, this makes up for the first two episodes. In one word, this episode was…AWESOME!
I loved the first three episodes of this new season, and the more I watch the more I love. The new intersect does change things but the show is still the same, only that better. I completely loved the emotionally charged scenes bettween Chuck and Sarah, Devon being caught into the spy world is indeed awesome, the Buy More is funny as always although I will
miss Emmett. I can see a bright future for Chuck this season and hopefully many more to come.
