We’ve been receiving a lot of inquiries about when Chuck season 3 will be available on iTunes/Amazon. We do not know. As soon as they are available, we’ll post about it here on ChuckTV.net.

Unfortunately for fans, this makes perfect sense for NBC to withhold Chuck Season 3 from iTunes or Amazon’s Video On Demand or any other online source other than Hulu.com. If we’re forced to watch the shows on Hulu, NBC gets the ad revenue.
Well, I appreciate the update. I am deployed and frustrated because I CAN get iTunes stuff but CAN’T get streaming NBC video. I also don’t see the challenge as Chuck is produced by WB. And for the final part of my rant, I question how much money is to be made by website hits vs. those of us who would plunk down cold hard cash on iTunes? Sorry, I’m Chuck-less and not liking it!
CUPERTINO, California—August 31, 2007—Apple® today announced that it will not be selling NBC television shows for the upcoming television season on its online iTunes® Store (www.itunes.com). The move follows NBC’s decision to not renew its agreement with iTunes after Apple declined to pay more than double the wholesale price for each NBC TV episode, which would have resulted in the retail price to consumers increasing to $4.99 per episode from the current $1.99. ABC, CBS, FOX and The CW, along with more than 50 cable networks, are signed up to sell TV shows from their upcoming season on iTunes at $1.99 per episode.
“We are disappointed to see NBC leave iTunes because we would not agree to their dramatic price increase,†said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “We hope they will change their minds and offer their TV shows to the tens of millions of iTunes customers.â€
Apple’s agreement with NBC ends in December. Since NBC would withdraw their shows in the middle of the television season, Apple has decided to not offer NBC TV shows for the upcoming television season beginning in September. NBC supplied iTunes with three of its 10 best selling TV shows last season, accounting for 30 percent of iTunes TV show sales.
Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh. Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and iLife and professional applications. Apple is also spearheading the digital media revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and iTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market this year with its revolutionary iPhone.

Check the date – that was from more than 2 years ago and the issue has since been resolved.
But other NBC shows like The office, 30 Rock and Heroes are being sold….why not Chuck?
I don’t know the degree to which this applies to the entire USA, but I discovered all three of the latest episodes were available via the Comcast InDemand service (even in HD!). For non-DVR types like myself this will let us re-watch the recent episodes. If the normal scheme follows, there will be 3-4 available in a rollover week-to-week.
I was going to buy my first season pass ever on itunes for Chuck but nooooooo they still don’t have it.
I am so with Cody, I was looking forward to purchasing my first season pass, I have all previous episodes that I purchased individually. Truthfully what is up with NBC, I have nearly had it with big networks, if it wasn’t for awesome shows like Chuck, I would completely stop watching all NBC shows(which may be the case if they don’t sign Chuck for a 4th season). What can you do, they don’t listen to the fans, all they care about is how much money they can make and how fast they can make it.
Today will be the 5th episode of season 3 Chuck. fingers crossed they’ll have it by tomorrow. Right now im going to buy some individual episodes of season 2.
While I understand the whole ad-revenue-Hulu-On-Demand situation, I still would like to be able to buy the episodes from the iTunes store and be able to watch them anywhere-even offline-instead of having to watch while being tethered to the internet. I haven’t watched any Season 3 episodes. Please put Chuck Season 3 on iTunes.
Episode 6 will start in 2 days, still no season 3 on itunes. And just a wild idea, what if the RING recruited Harry Tang as and agent, that would be so funny.
I think it’s about time us would-be iTunes customers started E-Mailing Apple, NBC, whoever is in charge of making this happen. (I believe Josh Schwartz said via Twitter that he has nothing to do with it, and that he himself has no idea what the hold-up is.)
I take a class on Monday nights, and while I can record the show on my PC using my TV tuner, the quality is… less than desirable. Besides, I have a perfectly good cable for running video from my iPod / iPhone to the big screen TV!
Chuck Season 3 is now on iTunes!
For some reason there doesn’t yet seem to be a season pass – you can buy individual episodes.
Before the Playstation Network had access to NBC shows Chuck was on sale as a Warner Brothers product, so assuming it is still done like that I would look to Warner Brothers as to why it is not up yet.
I had a dream to make my own commerce, but I didn’t earn enough of cash to do it. Thank God my colleague told to take the business loans. Therefore I took the sba loan and made real my old dream.
My first time on your site and am already loving the your content as well as some really good sites you happen to refer.
the best hardware video player for me are those made by Pioneer, for software video player, nothing beats VLC”~~
actually sorry for bugging you about that the first time but i did a little research afterwards and the reason it is not on itunes is that nbc did not renew its contract with apple. For some reason nbc wanted to sell episodes for 5 bucks a piece and apple did not agree with this so the contract was terminated late december. As for amazon I have no idea why not but hopefully this will quell the annoying posts
Not sure if NBC actually has much to do with it not being on iTunes. Chuck is actually produced by Warner Brothers. Before the Playstation Network had access to NBC shows Chuck was on sale as a Warner Brothers product, so assuming it is still done like that I would look to Warner Brothers as to why it is not up yet.
The whole NBC/Apple contract dispute is OLD NEWS, almost two years ago. It doesn’t get newer if people repeat it over and over again.
