This week on Chuck we learn more about Shaw, Chuck goes on his first solo mission, Stone Cold Steve Austin stops by, and Kristin Kreuk’s Hannah arrives on the scene. Plus we get an homage to an Adam Baldwin movie from Casey. Good times! Here’s the official synopsis for “Chuck vs. First Class”, airing tonight at 8/7c on NBC:
CIA agent Daniel Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) assigns Chuck to his first solo mission in Paris, ignoring Sarah and Casey’s wishes. During the flight to France, Chuck befriends Hannah (guest star Kristin Kreuk) and flashes on another passenger — the imposing Hugo Panzer (guest star “Stone Cold†Steve Austin). Meanwhile, Casey helps Morgan battle Jeff and Lester for control of the Buy More.

Run Chuck! 🙂
Hannah is a palindrome and Morgan warned you last season to never trust a woman whose name could be spelled the same forward or backward!
First Anna, now Hannah. Listen to your little buddy. His beard holds many secrets…
Great Episode, only thing it missed was some Ellie/Awesome action but I can live with that. But I thought it was great how both Chuck and Hannah were lying about what they were doing on the plane, and Casey/Morgan vs Jeff/Lester all I see coming from that is a goldmine of comedic moments. Again very good episode, not quite as good as last weeks, but still very g
I have never missed an episode of Chuck (probably like many others). It is the best show going right now!
Best show ever! The only one that I watch regularly. 🙂
Chuck is back with a vengeance. Loving this season so far. Can’t wait for more Kristin Kreuk and Brandon Routh, two of my favorite guest stars so far. Already dreading the two week hiatus for the Winter Olympics. Boo!
No More Mr. Nice Spy indeed. I’m loving the darker tone the show is taking. I’m not going to enjoy the two week Olympic break.
I absolutely love this show! It is like a drug, and every monday we get the big fix and during the week we live by bits and pieces via twitter and amazing sites like this one! Heres to hoping ratings are good, and we get a season 4!!!
So I am a new comer to Chuck but I absolutely love it! Definitely a convert for good. 😀 Have already got caught up on the last two seasons in 2 weeks (which I know – is sad) and I absolutely am besotted with season 3.
Great show looks like Chuck is starting to grow as they intersect. cant wait for Monday to come around thanks for all the fun!!!
Chuck is the perfect show for all ages and all viewers of all kind!! I love Chuck, Zachary Levi, and Yvonne Strahovski!!!!
Chuck is the man! Can’t wait to see what twists Hannah and Shaw throw into the mix this episode. I hope Morgan’s bark has improved!
tonights episode was awesome! shaw is growing on me. but i think hannah poses much more of a threat to a chuck/sarah relationship.
Loved this episode, and the promo for Nacho Sampler looks amazing as well.
They’ve really done a great job with Season 3 so far. Hopefully the ratings stay strong.
I absolutely love Chuck! Before, I never thought I’d watch it because it didn’t look like my normal type of show, but now…I’m hooked! I wish these episodes would come faster =]
Very excited for the episode tonight, and of course it would be awesome to win a Press kit!
Loved loved loved this episode. It finally feels like they’re getting this season’s tone down, though I do wonder if Casey’s brainwashing session with Lester was a tad over the line. I mean, it’s Lester. Surely you can get him to submit using less extreme methods. (I bet Casey as just longing to get out his special Hypnosis Kit For Idiots, though.)
I loved this episode! I’m totally a Charah shipper, but Kristen Kreuk was totally adorable this week! I hope she doesn’t turn out to be anyone nefarious…
Absolutely love Chuck, just like everyone else who visits or comments on this site. Cannot wait to see how the love “trapezoid” shakes things up.
Such an amazing episode. Can’t for week’s which looks even better!
First Class was fantastic; each episode is better than the last! Here’s hoping the ratings stay strong, viva Buymoria!
I an really glad to see Kristen Kreuk back into one of my favorite shows again. From smallville to chuck she has always done a terrific job finding great roles to play. Also I’m loving the whole Morgan and Casey complex they put in the show it really shows how Casey is changing due to Chuck, Sarah, and the Buy More. I can’t wait for next weeks episode.
The episodes keep getting better! I wouldn’t expect anything less =) Best show on TV hands down.
I’ve loved every episode this season! Chuck is just the perfect balance of everything I look for in a show.
And, I finally convinced my husband to start watching with me this season…it’s been great to catch him laughing because it means he’s not just watching to humor me.
I love Chuck. I’m glad us the fans brought it back. Plus I’m liking the new characters!
I’m loving season 3 so far and I’m sure it’ll only get better. We have to keep blowing it up so other people catch the Chuck fever and there’s a season 4 and many more!
Fantastic episode. Although I love Sarah and Chuck together I like it when Chuck interacts with other women on the show but I am a little scared that Hannah might be an undercover agent or ring operative.
Love that they got Superman and Lana Lang!
Chuck is the only reason I got DVR. I’ve followed this show since it first premiered, own almost all the episodes on itunes, and participated in the Footlong campaign. Seriously, I’m so in love with this show that I’m actually writing my evaluation essay for english class on it. Gahh I’m so excited about this season and I really hope it gets renewed (:
I totally want Casey as my Lieutenant! I would never have any problems with anyone, ever!
So I just finished watching the new episode and it was exactly what I hoped the show would do after the gamechanger at the end of last season. So great. I really hope they keep going in this direction. This one won’t be leaving the DVR for a while.
Chuck is amazing, but John Casey is the definition of Awesome.
Chuck…Best show ever!!
I recently rediscovered CHUCK. Due to my work schedule, I saw the odd episode during the first season then lost track of it. Finally saw a re-run on tv a few weeks ago and I am now addicted. It is one of the more original and creative shows on tv. In preparation for season three, I hit the net and watched all of the previous episodes. 80) Wow.
I must admit, I was starting to get a bit frustrated with the ChuckSarah on and off relationship. Many years ago, the JAG series did exactly the same thing between two of their main characters. In love, but dating others and yet everyone kept commenting on the relationship. Circles. It was great to have a CHUCK episode (vs. First Class) where the relationship was not re-hashed from yet another angle. This episode was great and is one of my favs.
Here’s hoping I can win a Chuck press kit…
This show is one of few that was great from the first episode. The actors mix well and play off each other , Which is rare in the other shows out this season.
Shaw seems more enjoyable making Chuck a spy if he doesn’t kill him first. Love Sarah beside herself when she can’t protect Chuck. Even Casey is a worrywort. Hannah a agent? I’ll have another Footlong thinking about her future. I tell friends Chuck is only Tv show I make time for & to give it a try.
Casey brainwashing Lester was CLASSIC!!
I’m really loving the return of the series. Zac and the gang are awesome (though, I do miss Julia Ling a bit).
Show gets better and better. Would like some more Sarah though.
Love the show. Miss a little bit of the old Chuck 1.0, but version 3.0 is good as well – looking forward to where this story arc takes us.
Chuck never fails to entertain me and I hope the show sticks around for a while (and when I say a “while” I mean a very *long* time…). Solo missions, new adversarys and love interests — I love just about everything the show throws at the audience and this episode was no exception. Kudos, Bartowski, for proving your worth as a spy…
Another great episode! Why is Chuck only on once a week? How can I be expected to wait a whole 7 days for the next episode? And then a break for the Olympics -ok, don’t freak out.
The Hanna/Shaw arcs are looking like lots of fun, but put me in the camp that can’t wait for Chuck+Sarah
I couldn’t ever get into Smallville, so I’d never seen Kristin Kreuk before Monday’s episode. Not only is she gorgeous but her persona was natural from the start, and even though we know that the Powers That Be aren’t going to let her remain exactly as initially perceived, I thought her character was much more accessible than was Lou’s from last season. Closing with the teaser scenes of her in the Nerd Herd outfit was the icing on the cake!
No wonder Sarah didn’t want Chuck going out solo…here comes another love triangle.
I just got to say so far every episode of Chuck is the reason for me to stay home on Monday nights. I can’t wait what music they put on the show, what surprising guest stars come on, the Buy More Antics, and Zachary Levi as Chuck!!! Go Chucksters!!!
I was pleasantly surprised with Kristin Kreuk. Never really watched Smallville. Hopefully she’ll last longer than Sandwich Girl.
As much as I enjoyed the first two seasons of Chuck, I couldn’t help but feel that the show was spinning its wheels in some episodes. The third season has had much stronger writing, better stories that have kept all the elements the fans love about the show while still constantly expanding. There’s a real sense that the show is building toward something bigger, a feeling I didn’t really have last year.
Simply put, Chuck is the most fun show on TV to watch, and I’m glad I discovered it as it’s entering its prime.
I’ve had favorite shows in the past but I’ve always missed the occasional episode. I’ve never missed an episode of Chuck I just purchased the S1 and S2 DVDs. I already watched season 1 again and I’m holding season 2 to watch during the interminable Olympic break. 😛
Through the DVDs and blogs such as this, I never realized how much I missed in each episode. Its been fun going back and connecting dots.
“…Vs First Class” was a terrific episode. I’m happy to see the ratings are doing well and I’m optimistic for a 4th season.
IDK why there’s a smiley face in my comment. It should be a flabbergasted, tongue sticking out emoticon. There’s nothing about waiting 3 weeks for a new Chuck, (& Sarah), that makes me smile. LOL
Im Chuckbssed!!!! Love the Show!!! FROm GREECE!!!!!
I love Chuck!! I’ve been watching it for 3 years and never missed an episode. It’s my favorite show of all time. Everything about it is great.
