Oh my. Chuck is about to get even more awesome. The legendary Fred Willard and Swoosie Kurtz are joining the show for episode 3.15, “Chuck vs. the Role Models”, as Mr. & Mrs. Turner, a pair of spies who have been together for 30 years. Are Chuck and Sarah getting a glimpse of their possible future?

Well that’s nice but i was expecting Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers, u know from Heart & Heart? (i think that was the name of the show?). Still, hopefully they will be a great addition to the Chuckverse, maybe they will convince them that if that worked for them it will work also for Chuck and Sarah too 🙂
Wagner and Powers were outstanding in Hart to Hart, but the former is currently 79 and the latter is 67. They were talented, stylish and exhibited much of the same on-screen chemistry and charisma we love in Chuck and Sarah.
The problem is their age at this point. The casting call I believe called for characters in their 50’s.
Williard has a comedic edge (Not that long ago he played Amy’s dad on Everybody Loves Raymond) and Kurtz I know is great with the wise cracks to the men. We’ll see.
Willard is no spring chicken either. He’s around 70. Kurtz is in her 60s, I believe. Niether one is what I would call “50is”
They may be old, but I’m sure they will make a great addition to the Chuck cast. You know who they need on Chuck? I think the writters should make a ep for someone as awesome as Sean Connery. A little James Bond action anyone? 🙂
You are correct. 70 and 65 respectively. Well, I liked Hart to Hart back in the day. Perhaps Taliesinjoe was right. Wagner and Powers wouldn’t have been poor choices. They are great actors. They could have played, and sold, these roles.
