Ali Adler was keeping the title of the Chuck season finale to herself when asked a couple of weeks ago, but Ausiello has gone ahead and put it out there:

Ausiello: I think you mean titles. Remember, it’s a two-hour extravaganza. The first hour is titled “Chuck versus the Subway,†and the second is “Chuck versus the Ring: Part 2.†What does it all mean?! Hit the comments.
Props to one of the Sarah Walker Fan Girls who came really close to guessing the title when I guested on their podcast last week (I can’t remember which one of you fab femmes it was who guessed “Chuck vs. the Rings”). If we’d been video casting, my face probably would have given it away!

Better get season 4
Since Chuck episode titles usually have more than one meaning, does that mean that there will be more than one ring in the finale? Like the Season 2 finale?
Season 1 ended with an engagement. Season 2 ended with a wedding. If the pattern continues we could see another engagement. I would guess Big Mike, Morgan, or Casey…a Chuck and Sarah engagement wouldn’t happen for a few seasons but hopefully we can get there!
My thoughts exactly. I was thinking the writers would probably tie the story around back to when Shaw pulled out his “wedding ring” near the beginning of the season. Either his wife isn’t dead yet or something interesting is going to come up about his wedding.
I hope that’s not the case Kasey. I want Shaw dead before the finale. But I would like to see a John Casey engagement/wedding. And I think it’s the most likely. That’s where my money is.
I totally agree with wanting shaw dead before the finale. If they were to put Sarah and Chuck getting engaged (as much as I want it) then the show would not be as good.
So, a lot of people thought last years “Ring” was about a wedding ring but it was about the bad guys. This year my first thought was about the bad guys, but is it really about a wedding ring? Monday’s can’t get here fast enough.
I thought the title of last year’s finale was a double entendre. It’s about both. I’m thinking this year’s will be the same way (though maybe an engagement ring instead).
But then there’s also Shaw’s wedding ring to take into consideration. After all, he does have a beef with the Ring about what they did to his wife.
Considering Brandon Rouths last episode as Shaw is 3.13 I doubt the finally has much to do with him.
All rumors and spoilers are telling that Brandon Routh contract on the show was extended and he will be in the 2-hour season/series finale too.. So…
Care to link that? The timing of the spoilers only showed an increase of the Shaw character from 5 ot 8 eps. That means from 3.05 to 3.13.
I would also not rule out a telephone ring with a mysterious/game changing message behind it, either.
My bad, hit the comment thing too soon. Ring bad guys, wedding ring, and a phone ringing, thinking maybe all three?

you know according to the season final spoilers there will be a significant death…everybody was like given to the thought that it’s gonna be Orian who will be dead.,,,,,but i feel like it’s gonna be a different character .

I read an article where awesome says everything is gonna blow in the season final,chuck is something knew every season….i got the idea like once chuck is a perfect spy he doesn’t need a handler any more …….if Shaw is leaving after 3*13 to be apart of the show, Sarah got to stick with chuck……so when he said next season will be something new i felt like Sarah will die and chuck will be like living his spy life, living with some average female girl…to show the fans how much this character has improved….to show how he could save the wold while living a family life.something Sarah couldn’t do as a spy.
next c/f saying anything could happen in season final…. i got that like significant death could be anyone.
also i read in some spoiler “Chuck will be extremely sad”……so if its orian who will die.they would have mentioned like Ellie and chuck both will be extremely sad.
also in the season final spoiler it was said that
Yvonne and Adam were shooting some crazy and very hushed scene.
and i heard some rumors like chuck saying if Sarah or Casey would leave the show it could be boring something like that.
when i read all these stuff i felt it’s gonna be Sarah who will die in the final epic…..you know guys when show runners when they want to go for a new season. they end the final of the previous with a death of a key character.so that fans will ask for more and will be curious about what will be like without this and that character…….so i feel chuck world is preparing for some very disappointing and heartbreaking final two hours…..two of my favorite shows other than chuck was prison break and robin hood…….in those two t.v shows too i had a bitter experience due to the death of schorefield and Marian “significant deaths”………….anyway this is only what i feel,my opinion.
NOOOOOOO!!! They can’t do that. I mean, I know fans haven’t been that pleased with Sarah since Chuck refused to run away with her, but I doubt they hate her that much to have her die now. What? Are the writers going crazy? Don’t they know that in killing off one of the three they kill the show with it? It can’t be her. I’m sticking to my guns about Chuck’s father, Orion being the sacrificial lamb in the finale.
Actually due to the mess that Josh Schwartz forced on writers starting with the awful episodes 3.07 and 3.08 that destroyed the show and main characters… the only option to have a possible Season4 at this point is to get rid of Sarah and killing her ensures that.
Really there is no chemistry anymore between Sarah and Chuck on screen, Josh Schwartz destroyed it completely, and because you can’t get rid of Chuck on Chuck show then your only option is to kill Sarah and give Chuck a loney hero spy journey on a possible Season4 and then create a new love interest for Chuck introducing a new main female character played by an attractive actress able to replace the previous one.
At this point it’s the only option they got in order to really save the show. Having Chuck and Sarah together would simply look fake and forced and anyway the majority of very disappointed viewers just don’t care about the couple anymore, many dislike the idea now, so… getting rid of Sarah is the only way to go.
Come on, even though a lot of people aren’t happy with Sarah right now, everyone agree Yvonne’s an amazing actress which has crazy chemistry with Zac. Getting rid of her would be crazy. Especially when you only have 2 female characters.
you are right chojin999b: i start to hate Sarah since epic 3*07, after that epic i became “chuck only”……since then i always wanted Hannah to step in to the show and to remove Sarah walker….but guys even though we hate her character, like “hope” said that doesn’t mean we want her to die……….
how much ever i talk bad about Sarah, i always wish and feel that she is the perfect match for chuck…..if she is the significant death in season final i must say am totally done with this show…..even though the name of this show is chuck i suppose the character that attract audience to the show is SARAH WALKER……….no actress can replace sarah.

I’m not sure why this is even part of the conversation. As I noted earlier, Sarah is not the one who dies.
It hasn’t been J.S.’s fault totally, the BIG mistake they made was hiring B.R. to be Shaw, let’s face it the man’s a vegetable he can hardly act to save his life. He’s the one sucking the chemistry from our cast not the other way around. Ooh, I really wish they’d hurry up and get rid of him. Heaven help the show if he stays on beyond 3.13.
Well Hope .. Fedak say there will be a serious relationship between shaw and sarah.. and i heard shaw will stay beyond 3.13 till chuck season 3 finale… The writers and producer as usual will make season 3 finale an dramatic ending..like season 2 finale which will create pity ..lots of sentiment so that we will campaign to support chuck for season 4….Then in season 4 (if countinue) ..the writers and producer again play with fans sentiments to get support for season 5 ..on ,,,and soo on…

Executive producer Josh Schwartz hired Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk wasting a lot of season budget on them for nothing more than destroying the show and main character as the ending result.

I think B.R’s Shaw did ‘exactly’ what his character was meant to do and did it well. It introduced an unstable element to the day to day lives of these characters and even though Shaw has no intersect (that we’re aware of) he is Chuck’s darker equal and in many respects exceeds what our boy Chuck is ever capable of doing even with his intersect.
Shaw was exactly Sarah’s type (more so than even Bryce Larkin in my opinion) and made it quite easy to “hate” Shaw’s character as he truly was capable of stealing Sarah away for good.
Chuck is always the underdog but finds a way to come out on top… that’s why I watch… 😉
i for one think that Shaw was a great addition…i might’ve not believed that but now when we finally see the bigger picture i realize that Shaw was a needed character for the show to get interesting in season 3
I disagree Gq… I agree that Shaw was a necessary character, but I think they should have picked someone who could show emotions better than BR. I recognize the writing has Shaw as a foil for Chuck but I think they could have easily found a better actor to play in his role. Instead they went for the “big name.” I think that they could have gotten a better actor who could have portrayed Shaw like he is supposed to be, “the spy that Beckman wants Chuck to be.” He is obviously darker, most of his motivation for the ring is based on revenge, but BR could have done a better job emoting, especially with the back-story of a “wife killed by ring agent.” That’s just my two cents
I agree completely. I don’t think it was the writing this season but the acting… of Brandon Routh. Put in another “Bryce Larkin” type character, a good actor and a likable character. Brandon Routh was not a popular superman if I recall too. To me when he acts he shows no emotions, his face stays the same throughout the show. Because Routh cannot display emotions particularly well, he came across as creepy and weird. His inability to display emotion, to me, seemed to cause his relationship with Sarah to seem fake. The only time I actually enjoyed his presence on the show was for the line by Zac, “It’s not like he’s Superman or anything.” Otherwise, I think that the plot and writing was not flawed, it was the acting. I think that is why a lot of people left the show. You can’t relate to someone who portrays emotions as if they were an emotionless robot.
i have to agree with you on that one…he’s not all that bad but they could’ve definitely picked a better actor than Brandon Routh for Shaw’s character…

I agree, there is still a ton of chemistry between Chuck and Sarah.. If Sarah was killed off, I would never tune into this show again.. This show is all about Chuck and Sarah. I could care less who they bring in.
I know the show is titled Chuck, but I’m done if and when Sarah is killed. Gone. No ifs, ands or buts.
I second that! No Sarah = no Cody. That’s 1 (accually I wrote 3 last year) less letters to NBC (and Subway) for a season 4 campaign. Count me out. But if Sarah stays, I’m on board completely for fighting for a season 4. But with no season 4, I could care less if season 4 comes or not.
If they kill Sarah, Chuck’s true love, not only will Chuck not be the same but the show would not be nearly as good
I think Orion will die. The show depends on the Chuck/Sarah relationship. There will be plenty of new things happening with the reinstatement of Casey and Morgan joining the team. If Sarah dies, just wait and watch the shows ratings drop immensely, I guarantee it will happen if she dies. And the writers should know that!

Riiigggght. Sorry to say this, but that would be a scenario if they DIDN’T want a 4th Season. Killing off Sarah is show suicide, plain and simple. Not going to happen. Most likely is that Orion dies (that is what my money is on). Next most likely is Morgan or Casey.
And BTW, 3.13 is Shaw’s last eps. There are rumors flying that he is in the last few eps, but that is only a RUMOR. From what I’ve been able to dig up, the only guest star in 3.19-3.19 is Scott Bakula as Orion. BR, as far as anyone knows, was only visiting the set.
Actually, I was thinking about a “what if” scenario where they brought Jill back and she was killed…that would qualify as a deeply emotional loss, in my opinion
I was kind of wondering about that myself. It would definitely be an interesting twist.
I would be fine with that hopefully Chuck’s feelings for Jill are long gone
Another wild plot twist idea I’ve had for some time… Jill returns because she catches wind of a plan that’s aimed squarely at Chuck. She still cares for him, maybe feels she owes him for her escape, and comes back to warn him. Mayhem ensues. She ends up as a significant death, taking the bullet aimed at… Sarah. Reason? Jill loves Chuck, knows they can’t be together anymore (she sees how Chuck and Sarah are these days) and saves Sarah so Sarah can continue to protect Chuck. Redemption in the end for Jill but a bit of a shock for Chuck and Sarah.
Honestly, I doubt it would happen. Still, twists like that are rare (and, rarely done well) in television these days. Just a thought of mine. 🙂

thanks mel this is the best news i heard in season 03,,,,,,if Sarah will not die wow, season 4 will be at it’s best,,,,,,,chuck will definitely give Sarah a decent spy life as well as a sweet family life…..after Sarah and chuck get together i know for sure, she will look at chuck not as nervous puppy but as bold lion where she feel well secured.once again thank you for the good news…..sometimes i feel the way you response and give spoilers, you are either, Josh Schwartz or c/f…..:-)
I hope that it is Orion, He has Clearly has stated in 2.19 that he has had to die more than once. So He can die and come back in season 4.
Or kill Lester what he has done so far this season is pathetic. It would be kind of cool to watch one of the ring agents kill him off like they killed off Emmit, simply because they hated his singing.

mehh.. even if sarah dies, they’ll bring her back in season four. they kinda have too, J&C always said that C,C,S are the main leads so they’ll bring her back if she dies… like sydney bristow. or we’ll find out that it’s a staged death or something. im not too worried.
btw, don’t call yourself a loyal fan to a show when you wanna see it go down just because the story doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. with all its drama, i still think chuck makes for a good tv. stop looking at just chuck and sarah’s relationship. look at the little things: chuck is still our goofy chuck, chuck is growing up into a fine FINE man, our boy morgan is now included in the spy world (which im sure there will be some funny story line coming up), the buy-morons are still around, JEFSTER’s awesome as always, ellie and awesome still gave us that lighter days.. and so on. Plus, i kinda see shaw as a character builder for sarah. He help her find her “soul” back. Chuck ain’t around so she needs to vent or lean somewhere (tsk tsk.. girlss). She’ll toss him(shaw) after, cuz once she’s in the right mind, she’ll fall for boy chuck. And like 75% of the fans, i think shaw has his own agenda.. good or not, doesn’t matter, it’ll be the thing that destroys him. And yes, i wish him and his darkness half way to pluto by now but w.e you know, he’s just one part. im gona wait for that one episode that’ll make it all worthwhile.
i actualy like shaw. i think he is a good character. i think that he is like bryce and though it did hurt Chara by forming Sham (Shaw/Sam)(plus the name just makes it sound like it is not ment to be) it will help them in the end.

Shaw is nothing like Bryce. Bryce had wit, charm and a good heart. By his own admission he was looking out for Chuck and knew that Sarah would find him. Shaw is humourless, has the charm of a viper, and a cold heart. He is not looking out for Chuck. He is sabotaging the mending of Chuck’s relationship with Sarah, sending Chuck into needless danger poorly trained, and treating Casey like a second-class citizen. A pox on him.

I do NOT like Shaw at all. Sarah was all I don’t like Chuck any more after he “Killed” that man but Shaw probally kills people all the time.
Shaw is not like Bryce. Shaw seems to be trying to put Chuck in harms way at every turn whereas Bryce either protected him or gave him a choice (except for putting the intersect into his head in the first place).
And he doesn’t have those beautiful blue eyes either. ~sigh~

Sarah isn’t going anywhere. Yvonne has a 6 year contract. That’s not something that can be swept under the rug so people chill out.

Actually, these contracts can be made null and void if the powers-that-be wanted to do so via a more-or-less mutual agreement (Star Trek: Next Generation and Denise Crosby, NCIS and Sasha Alexander, Gray’s Anatomy and Katherine Heigl) or in response to lines crossed by the star (CSI and Grey’s Anatomy [I think] both had to deal with that sort of mess recently).
That being said, and even before Mel’s comment, I doubted Sarah would be the one heading to the great television afterlife in the sky anyway. In spite of the mess her character has/has not become (draw your own conclusions, I have mine), she is still a central component to the show, as is Casey and, of course, Chuck.

i kinda want him out already. LOL not that i mind him, but whenever he’s around, the episode gets too dark now. at first it was fine and all. so yeah, how much longer will he be staying?
The confusion I think stems from the original 13 episode order from NBC for this season. Shaw is in it until that 13th ep, the originally-planned “season finale”. Then NBC ordered an additional 6 eps, making ep 19 the new season finale. Shaw is not in the back 6, which are being treated as a separate mini-season with its own story arc, because the original 13-ep story arc had already been worked out when the order came in for the extra 6. That’s my understanding.

I too am considering that the last episode title “Chuck Vs The Ring Part 2″As a double standard to it. Considering we had spoilers of an episode after that called “Chuck Vs the Honeymooners” I’m guessing Chuck and Sarah are really getting married somehow.

Well i have read a lot of the comments but i don’t Know why no one is talking about the first title Chuck VS. the subway. i think the first meanig is obvious, Subway. but, i Know this is a long shot but subway – trains – Train staition – Prage?!?!?!
i don’t know but i have never been to LA but do they have subways there i am from Minnesota & i Have never seen a subway.
Also is sarah is killed off might as well kill chuck too because then the show chuck is done. i just can’t see sarah killed.

First of all the desicion of a renewal of the for one more will be come up before the finale, secondary i personally find more realistic and practical for the season 4(if hopefully be renewed!!) a spy couple Chuck-Sarah than any other scenario… so that leaves Col. Casey outside the frame.. a dramatic loss(have a feeling about that) would be also Morgan which fits even more to the previous scenario (P.S. this also will make the show less expensive, increasing the chance of renewal)

but overall i don’t give credit for the storyline……i saw some key characterS step out coz of third party, low life Shaw….reason why i call him low life, no guy will hit on his friends cute,,,,if he is a genuine man.Shaw’s action is a disgrace to the spy world…..coz when you say a special agent he/she should be 100% Law or policies observe…… Shaw broke the cardinal law.
I’ll agree with you 100% on the last paragraph chuckonly! Shaw’s actions as a special agent and a mentor to Chuck is a disgrace to the spy world.He should know the policies and procedures when it comes to being a professional as it relates to the spy/spy relationship.
If Shaw is any kind of a man and a friend to Chuck he would never hit on Sarah like that no matter if sarah still has in love with Chuck or not.
Even if Sarah did the same thing to Shaw,he should put Sarah in her place and for the most part she’s been keeping it professional. It creats conflict in the work place.

I think the death will be Awesome. This ties in with rumours that I heard before the season began that something develops between Casey and Ellie, while Devon is “gone”. I had assumed that meant “away” but now it could mean “dead”.
A soap love story between Casey and Ellie and so Awesome getting killed? Really Josh Schwartz doesn’t have any clue about this show, its viewers/fans and characters. He already destroyed the plot, Chuck and butchered Sarah.. now he want to destroy the characters of Casey and Ellie too?
The show is dead meat, it won’t recover simply because Josh Schwartz will keep pusing the soap/telenovelas stuff that only a bunch of people with a bad taste that really never liked the show nor understood it nor its characters will enjoy.
Geez! All this is rumors. We do not know if Awesome is going to die. This is the first I’ve heard of it and I am a little skeptical. Please wait to find out what really happens before you lash out at the writers. Just because things have not gone the way YOU wanted them to go for this season doesn’t mean you can pass judgement. We only have barely half of the picture. The writers have a full view. We can’t imagine what is going to come up next.

Those rumors started because Josh said something jokingly at the SDCC 2009 panel about Casey and Ellie exchanging a “look” across the courtyard. It was only a side joke and everybody laughed. Seriously, that couldn’t happen. If Casey gets an LI like everbody else its going to be his long lost fiance.
Whew! That was a close one. I would prefer Casey and his baby mama getting together to Casey and Ellie. Glad it was a joke. Seemed too odd a pairing to begin with.
Sadly, this whole discussion is why the ratings have tanked. A great premise with outstanding talent and a diverse cast with lots of cool stories has digressed into a soap opera where the spy and comedy elements merely provide breaks between the teenage inspired angst. Consequently, the speculation has digressed from how adults would act and how a normal dramady would flow to speculation that belongs on a Days of Our Lives board. And, I’m not blaming or knocking anyone here. We’re reacting to the junk offered. It’s almost like mourning: denial, rejection, and then you just give up and accept the loss and try to mve on. I really want a 4th season, but not if it continues to digress to the level of angsty 14 yearolds. As an aside, while I’ll watch and fight for Chuck until the bitter end; CF and JS will never find their way onto my TV again regardless of the quality of the show. I simply don’t trust them anymore. They are better suited to teeny soaps (which is fine) and i’m not interested in that type of show.
Ever since Shaw joined the group, things been more difficult. Most of the missions they take involves the enemy trying to take down Shaw. His appearance practically jeopardized Chuck, Sarah, and Casey’s lives. I’m certainly not surprised if they killed off Shaw in the end.
However, they did say a “significant death,” and that could mean anyone. According to Merriam Webster, “significant” means having meaning. (i promise, im making a point here) Could a certain key character die from the line of duty? Or perhaps their death was staged, on purpose. Here’s my list of what ifs and purposes of their deaths:
Daniel Shaw: Death=Dies during a mission throwing himself in the crosshairs to save Sarah. Purposeful death=To go back into hiding because his appearance put the Chuck team in too much danger.
Sarah Walker: Death=(this can go either way) Tried saving Shaw and/or Chuck. Purposeful death=Wants to disappear, new alias, wanting to leave everything behind and take a different mission without Shaw and Chuck knowing. Or she doesn’t want to be a spy anymore and she disappears without a trace.
Chuck Bartowski: Death=(if he died, then the show wouldn’t be called ‘CHUCK’ right?) Emotions clouded his judgment. Caught off guard and takes a bullet for Sarah. Purposeful death=Leaves his life to be a real spy on his own. Since Chuck pointed out that Sarah does in fact have feelings for Shaw, he’s not gonna let his own feelings take over and decides to leave his friends and family all behind and be a spy. Just not with her.
Tell me what you guys think. let me remind you, this is just my opinion on that “significant death.”

Everyone knows that Chuck wont be Chuck without the following characters:
Sarah
Morgan
Awesome
Ellie
Jeffster
The death could be Sarah, but i seriously doubt it, as the show knows that they would lose like 75% of the viewers, so taking that into account that’s definately not what i think the producers would do. As we viewers know, Chuck and Sarah need to be together as it is a love story, so that would also be gone, and this Tv Show has a love story which is in the top 4, so that is also another reason. I’ve been thinking a lot about this death and i believe it could be one of the following:
Big Mike
General Beckman
Cassey (Because Casey is no longer in the CIA, to me i don’t think he is a necessary part to the series, however he could be re-instated later in season 3…)
Devon is another interesting part, so i suppose he could die to, but as he is main cast, they might decide to keep him.
Chucks father is set to return in season 3, so in my opinion it is Orion who dies, but i could be wrong.
To me there is no chance they would kill Sarah off as she is the second main person, and in some episodes the first main person, so basically impossible, it wouldn’t be called Chuck without her would it really.
Executive producer Josh Schwartz already butchered the main characters and that of Sarah more than anyone else and made void the well written romance between Sarah and Chuck up to the point that any possible romance would look just pointless and wrong for Chuck at this point despite he got wasted as a character with the whole useless Hannah quick sex and lust thing.. but the show is called Chuck so…
The only option Josh Schwartz has left after his mess started with the awful episode 3.07 is getting rid of Sarah. And killing Sarah is the best option. There can’t be any hope for a Season4 until the character of Sarah exists on the show, the only option now is to reset the romance part that Josh Schwartz himself butchered and start from scratch.. have Chuck in an lonely hero journey story arc and then slowly introduce a new female character with a very attractive female actress able to grasp viewers attention.
Speak for yourself. I’ve been fascinated watching Sarah’s struggles this season, watching Yvonne emote the emotional turmoil the character is going through. I’m very much looking forward to seeing where she ends up after she’s worked through these feelings that have been buried for so long.
Yvonne acting is clearly confused. Just like that of other actors on the show. They don’t like nor understand what the producers are doing to their characters, it’s kinda obvious and Yvonne doesn’t know how to deal with her character anymore.
The only struggle on is actors having to deal with Josh Schwartz that doesn’t know what he is doing and viewers that are disgusted by Mr.Schwartz will and narrow minded soap vision.
agree with you Mel…Sarah is a very interesting character, and even though most of the fans think that the Chuck/Sarah relationship can’t be saved i’m not throwing in the towel just yet…i just can’t wait to see the next episodes and find out how all of this ends…it’s so exciting
I totally think they are setting up sarah and chuck to get back together. Casey told Sarah that he killed the mole, not chuck. And so far for the next promo shaw’s looking like he will try to kill sarah. (earlier in Chuck versus the american hero he said that he would trade his life for the person who killed his wife). and allso, why does everyone think it will be sarah who dies?!?!?!?!?!?!

First Mel said Sara is not killed. I wonder if you know more than you are telling. Next Shaw (BR) said noone would like his character and he is right A major death is the double murder of Shaw and General Beckman. Major event. Chuck is Saras salvation. Ending the last 6 episodes with C/S in each otehers arms would be what we obsessed fans would love. If what I read was true and JS does look at our comments the back 6 arc should bring the show back to where the hard core fans want it to be. Shaw is a waste of effort unless he was to briing Sara to Chuck. S4 could be missions of a couple for C/S. Living to gether could bring a whole new set of conflicts to the show.
I am sure Casey will be reinstated to the NSA. Ryan above suggested Beckman death, beat me to it!! I am sure that outcries of the C/S will get the attention of JS to atleast get the writers to have done such an arc for us. If not the hard core fans may not stick with the show. I for one will watch the show as it is my favorite, but I will still be upset becuse I once said it before C/S is the whole chemistry of the show and the 3 main characters should keep to what is a proven tract record. Hopefully, I am not far off but if I am S4 may be in doubt, But an S4 with true C/S romance would be very welcome.
After rereading my posts, I was right about Chuck killing someone. Shaw was the perfect person to shoot and actually the scene was awesome. Saviing Sara was also one of my things and I am glad that I was on target for that too! Anyone have any ideas about the last 6 episodes?
i really really doubt that any of the main characters will die, because us as the audience are to attached to them, and if one goes chances are the show will go. i don’t think the writers could be the stupid. Chances are it will be a infrequent character that dies, maybe Orion, this could tie in with the flashback of Chuck and Ellie as they were a kids, you know a scene were Orion is serving them pancakes or something like that.
The title ‘Chuck vs The ring’ might mean team B finds out the differnet parts of the ring (like fulcrum was only one part), and that maybe chuck prposes to Sarah?
I think maybe Chuck and Sarah get together in episode 12. If you look at the promo sarah asks chuck ‘why are you helping him?’ in a very unapproving tone, not exactly the way you expect her to act if she doesn’t love chuck again. The rest of the season can show Chuck and Sarah getting closer again, and hence i believe Chuck proposing to Sarah in the season finale is very believable! Let’s just hope the writers used there brains and understood that Chuck and Sarah together is much more effective in attracting viewers than childish angst story lines are!
Maybe Chuck has to kill someone to save a life. That would be an emotional death for the seson ending and his dealing with the guilt.

It took me a while to read through everyone’s post i must say they are interesting. Here are my thoughts
For Chuck vs The subway i think the story ends up once more to a train station, maybe union station again… Maybe chuck and sarah try to run off again.
For Chuck vs The ring i think it has to do with other section of ‘the ring’ one higher then the one after shaw and maybe Chuck attempts to propose to Sarah and loses the ring in the process.
As for the significant death i agree with people who say it’s Papa B.
Don’t forget, when we get back from hiatus, it says Chuck and Sarah open the scene on a train in the Honeymoon car. There was a spoiler that the train attendant knocks on the door and tells them theres a dining car in case they ever make it out of there honeymoon suite. Could be on a cover mission, or it could tie directly into the Chuck vs. the Subway episode which is right before the scene referenced above.
You guys know that they are not going to kill of Sarah Walker, because she gets married to Chuck and they have 2 kids. Chuck Jr gets the same ability as his father and you can see this in one of the comics that they published in season 1. The comic shows that both Casey and Sarah are alive and that Chuck is a spy, which alluded to the fact he would know martial arts. Go to the nbc website and check it out for your self. I bet is Orion who is gonna die.

Ok so we all know that like 75 % would stop watching if Sarah got killed, so that’s out of the question. The death is probably Orion or at least not a major character. But if it IS a main character, it can’t be Sarah cause amost everyone would stop watching. Now I’m curios, If Casey died would you guys also stop watching? Or if Morgan died? Or Ellie? Awesome? I just rewatched Chuck vs the American Hero. The bunker was blown up because Chuck brought the tracker there and three ring agents at least were killed when the bunker was blown up. In a way Chuck past his red test because he caused the deaths of the enemy agents, whether directly or indirectly, by bring the tracker with him. Though he did not actually kill them with a gun or his fists they were killed in the explosision that he directly caused.
HJ…..you are absolutely correct. Chuck did bring that tracker with him. He is so smart. I don’t think he gets enough credit sometimes.
Did Beckman say anything about that at the end of the episode when she was talking with Sarah? I don’t remember. Oh darn, I will have to watch the episode AGAIN! =0))
I am not sure if Sara would agree or not, but she definitely realizes that she wants to spend her life with Chuck out of the spy world. It looks like the writers are getting back on track. Hopefully it is not to late for the show to be renewed for s4.

I believe that none of the 3 main characters (Chuck, Sarah, Casey) will be killed off. Their characters interact so well together and it would be the end of the series for most fans if any of the three characters were killed. A significant death could mean not a real character death but something else entirely – like the “nerd” Chuck replaced by the “super spy” Chuck. Or if the story of Casey’s former life is resurrected and he goes off as a civilian to his former love – that could be construed as a significant death – of the Colonel Casey. But the character could still be given a role in the show. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The question is as always with the hints we get from the titles of the shows and there is so many double meanings to them. Last year’s Chuck vs.the Ring had two meanings – Ellie’s wedding ring, and the introduction of the Ring as the new force of evil – although we were introduced briefly to the Ring in Chuck vs. the Predator (which I only caught when viewing the second season DVD.) I would presume that the Ring part 2 would be the engagement of Chuck and Sarah. And the beginning of a new relationship as a spy couple – a la True Lies or Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the fourth season! And what I have seen of the next story arc, we will not be disappointed. So grab your foot long Subway sandwiches and watch the show live every Monday and show NBC what Chuck fans are out there.

We have come to the point where Sarah and Chuck are at that point of no return – they both have made their feelings clear so now what?
Chuck can’t go back to being just the intersect and he’s NOT a real agent either.
The OTHER point is the series hasn’t managed to stay constant in the ratings, it certainly hasn’t climbed at all this season. I would prefer to see a real series ending then a cliff hanger ending and no season 4.
If ever there was a time we might see a season final it should be now or in Season 4. If it actually makes it to Season 6 – awesome but the current viewer ratings scare me…
I’m hoping that Daniel Shaw will be killed off. My guess is that he’ll find out the ring put a phony video of Sarah Walker killing off his wife. His wife will turn out to be the lady played by Kristin Kreuk. Shaw is on his way to kill off Sarah. Chuck is on his way to stop him. If the ring is smart, they’ll know that they can try to kill one agent. Shaw will want to kill Sarah but only get in a shootout with ring spies. Then Shaw will die protecting Sarah. Chuck and Casey will come in after to save the day. The romance part of Chuck has to continue in order for it to be the same quality show. You can’t have Chuck mourning the next season and possibly his whole spy career. The writers need to kill off ties with the Buy More as that could free up the characters into a whole new world. If you had General Beckman of giving the Chuck team a new cover where he inherited money from a rich uncle. Then have Jeffster get rich and live in Beverly Hills. You would have Chuck as his next door neighbor. Sarah Walker would be married to Chuck. Like Lara Croft’s employees, you could have Morgan as the cook, Big Mike as the butler, and John Casey as the chauffer. They could have an underground bunker under the mansion and travel by jet. I can’t see going off on a spy mission during a computer install around the world and then making it back in an hour. Chuck will have to do something like this to get better at the spy game. Of course Jeff and Lester would be noisy but bored millionaire neighbors using a telescope or something. Jeff and Lester could get into trouble “borrowing” spy gadgets just thinking their Chuck’s rich man’s toys. I just find the whole Buy More thing very limiting. Kill off the Buy More.

1.They will not kill sarah- Now that she and chuck are back on hey cant because if they do they will shurely ruin the show for millions of viewers they killed of shaw so my et is they will kill Awesome, Ellie,Morgan,Jeff,Lester or posibly… Chucks mom they could bring her back and kill her again.
2. There will be a season 4 after an episode like that and the promise of an epic finally people will be begging for more.

I would find it hard to believe that they would kill of Morgan, Casey, Ellie, or the members of Jeffster. The writers know about the backlash they received from Chuck versus the Mask, and I highly doubt that they want to go through with that again. If they kill off any of those people the dynamic of the show would change and they would lose viewers.
We know that they are not killing off Chuck or Sarah, so I’m assuming they are going to have to kill off a minor character. They said they are going to leave fans satisfied, so I’m assuming they won’t kill of anyone big. There would be too much backlash and knowing us Chuck fans, boycotts of the show.
We are too in love with Morgan, Casey, Ellie and Awesome and they know that, they wouldn’t want to disappoint the fans.
