After this week’s excellent episode and intense ending, Chuck episode 3.13, “Chuck vs. the Other Guy”, cannot come soon enough! NBC put out a teasing “we don’t want to spoil you” promo (see it on the right), but thanks to Chuck fan snickrz we have screencaps from the promo that give some tantalizing hints at what’s coming next week.
I think that in the promo we also can see how CHuck has a flash on Shaw!!

I haven’t be sure whether thats Chuck/Shaw over the past few days but with your blown up image, you can CLEARLY see that that is Chuck….. awesome!
Shirt in pic #1 has epaulet visible on left shoulder. Don’t seem to see it on #9. Collar on #9 also looks slightly broader.
That being said I’m still not sure which guy it is in #1- hair looks like Chuck, nose looks like Shaw. Less developed trapezius muscle makes me lean towards it being Chuck.

Can’t be Shaw. At this point, there is no way in Hades either the Show Runners or the Writers would have Sarah and Shaw making nice in 3.13. If they did, the whiplash would be so severe, a lot of necks would be broken.
She was packing to run with Chuck. Shaw pretty much forces her to come with him. There is no way she would consent to any advances from Shaw.

Thank you so much. I love the screen caps from the promo. Oh my god! the first photo, i kept watching the promo trying to figure out if it was shaw or chuck. I also think it’s chuck…. now it makes me wonder does that happen moment come before or after all the fighting.

It was a joke. A shoutback to the debate last month when the tackle through the window scene was shown in the promo. People were saying it wasn’t Chuck and Sarah at the table because it didn’t look like them. Well, duh, it was their stunt doubles. Jokes lose their funniness when you have to explain it… 😉
Yea, they use stunt-doubles for everything these days. Can’t have a lead actor out of commission because of a sprained lip. 😉
What is Sarah crying about?!
I have the awful feeling that she shot Shaw. I looks as though Shaw may have the drop on Chuck and Sarah shoots Shaw to save Chuck. That’s what I think anyway.
I believe that Sarah is crying at the onset of the episode when Shaw reveals to her that he saw the video of her red test and that Sarah shot his wife, Evelyn Shaw.
or maybe because chuck had to shoot him just a guess who knows …..cant wait to find out
The first pic is def sarah and chuck which im guessing is the end of the episode since they seem to be be in a bed alone. I know it ,ight not seem that way from the pi but in HD on NBC I know its them.
I think the most interesting pic is the one with the ring director, chuck, and sarah. I guess everything kinda comes full circle with shaw from his past to his present.
I don’t think that is the last scene of the episode because last season it just ended and this was sopost to be the season end. i think that it will end with a ring agent (mabye shaw with a gun to chucks head) then the screen goes black and you hear a gun shot and it says TO BE CONTINUED.
What? There are still 6 episodes after episode 13. Show got extended.

I did a little research to confirm that that’s Chuck in the first pic:
1. Shaw’s hair part is on the OTHER side of his head.
2. If you actually watch the promo, Chuck wears that shirt (gray button-up) in a separate scene.
3. Would you kiss someone after finding out they killed your spouse? Probably not.

well guys i gotta ask something though there was a preview before the series was resumed after the Olympics hiatus in which there is bit where chuck asks sarah “do you love me?”.and if you noticed in that she has the same hairstyle as in the first screencap. since we have not yet seen chuck asking that question in the episodes so far(till 3.12) it makes me wonder when is he gonna ask it and why does he look a little anguished and doubtful.
I have been trying to figure out where that clip fits in as well. That and the fact that Chuck and Sarah actually have 3 separate outfits on in the pictures above (none of which are the clothes from the promo scene where Chuck asks Sarah if she loves him) leave me completely puzzled. Somehow in one episode we’re going to get 1)smiling on the bed kissing Sarah, 2)Crying Sarah, 3)Sarah with a gun and a very mad face, and the 3)”Do you love me scene”. I so wish it was Monday.
The DYLM scene is in this eps. Likely somewhere in the middle. If you look REEEAAALLLY closely you’ll see that it’s the same pink blouse she wore in teh post-Olympic promo.
She looks a litle doubtful because she likely doesn’t have the courage to say ILY back yet. But she’ll let him know her feelings in less, ahem, verbal ways.
I can’t wait to know who is the killer… Chuck, Sarah, Shaw… and aboveall… why Sarah is crying?
What if it’s Casey since it appears like he’s going underground for third time in a row to aid his teammates or ex teammates depends on how you look at it.
I don’t think is Casey that shoots… not once again… Cannot be always Casey that brings to an end all the situations…
You never know wants gonna come next, we’ll see who the shooter is come Monday.
Could be either one of the three Sarah, Casey , or Chuck… we’ll find out.

I agree 100 % @armynurseboy with your top post. Very well put. And not only have we seen her who she is beneath the surface, but Casey as well, especially in the Tic Tac.
Only confirms what I’ve been from YS and AB for their characters, emotionally broken and tortured souls who have led a hard life, yet Casey has begun to heal from the dark wounds of his past as we’ve seen from Final Exam on, and after The Other Guy, I bet Sarah will begin to heal as well. I love this season.

Pathetic answer. It’s kinda obvious that this site is affiliated with Josh Schwartz and his team and you use censoring to not let people tell what is wrong with what Josh Schwartz did to destroy the show. Whoever doesn’t please the master must be banned… no matter what, right?

yah you might say in epi 12 last part Sarah over looked Shaw and decided to runaway with chuck…….true but that indicates she is a very selfish character she is only concern about her needs and wants and dreams not chucks…if they had runawy do you really believe that CIA will have no concerns on that….
…from my perspective on the character Sarah walker she has lost all the good qualities that i saw in her season 1 and 2………i don’t say that the show was killed but i say that Sarah’s character was killed, i don’t have any good reason why i should like this character any more………..sorry if i was rude but this is my opinion.

anyways Sarah’s heart was broken after Chuck dumped her in Prague, therefore(and logically) she needs time to heal…from my point of view Shaw was just a rebound guy, though at some point she might’ve fell for him(for real)(because she thought Chuck was changing more and more from the guy she fell in love with by becoming a real spy)
at this point Chuck had to prove Sarah that he still was the same guy she fell for(which happened in episode 12)…
i don’t think Sarah is a selfish person, i just think that she was torn between the “apparent” love for Shaw and the “genuine” love for Chuck…she was just confused, and at that time Shaw seemed to be a better option…
this is my point of view and i could be wrong but that’s just how i see the whole situation…
i agree with you 100 percent. Sarh use to be this perfect girl who was too good to be true with all the qualities you would want to have in a woman( other than the fact that she could kick your ass). Now she is this typical hot chick. Hypocrite, selfish, and would jump in bed with the first hot guy she sees. I dont know why they did that….such a shame too. I will not be surprise if she is the one to die in the season finally just because of how they are now portraying he character. Either that or the writers must not have had any good girlfriends in their past because they sure as hell dont know how to make a woman look good and once again lovable.. Now see that’s exactly why I love what they did to her character this season. She WAS the stereotypical too good to be true hot chick you referred to in seasons 1 and 2. Other than her love for chuck and a little high school back story, she was fairly one dimensional. She was set up as perfect, maybe a bit mysterious, but at the end of the day she was just your typical guy’s fantasy who loves her man and is there to make him happy. I love the fact that we get to see her as a real person now, issues and all. Heck they even set this up WAY back in vs. the Suburbs when Chuck warned Sarah that she might one day turn into a real girl!
Finally, I normally don’t like calling people out on this stuff but in this case I kinda have to. To be upset that she’s no longer a good woman “with all the qualities you would want to have in a woman” because she ::gasp:: has her own needs, emotions, and issues, almost borders on misogyny to me, ESPECIALLY that comment about how you think “typical hot chicks” behave.

*……through out the season 3 show-runners were emphasizing on WT/WT they issue……not thought about how the tone of the characters would change, how fans would response.
*if the producers and the writers thought only thing that fans want is c/s relationship it’s completely wrong……there was so much fun we had in season 1 and 2 when c/s were just an undercover couple.
*a person becomes more pleasant to others around when he/she has bunch of good attitudes.’what i saw in season 3 is Sarah lost all the moral values she had by trying to chose between two guys’.
* non shippers say when there is so many other interesting stuff about the show why some talk about c/s relationship. according to C/J chuck/ Sarah relationship is the heart of the show so i suppose if the heart stops functioning the whole system is dead……..this is the secret behind low ratings, since epic3*07 the show is dead to many fans….but i want ratings to recover coz i love this show for ever.

i don’t know if you’ve read the whole interview but at some point Fedak talks about Shaw:
“Shaw’s the type of guy who has lived within her[Sarah’s] world. He is a spy much like herself, they’re cut from the same cloth and in some ways he’s the type of guy she should be with. And not insomuch as they were born to be together, or that she shares the same type of connection with Shaw that she shares with Chuck, but they have so much in common. She knows who Shaw is. Whereas Chuck is very much a person in flux and Chuck is changing.”
“When Chuck decides he wants to become a spy, that he wants to be a hero, he’s made a decision that’s fundamentally changed, from her[Sarah’s] perspective, who he is.”

ok so that pretty much sums up the “Why Sarah chose Shaw over Chuck(temporarily of course)” thing…read that carefully and you’ll see that everything starts to “make sense”
okay, I see that some people took offense to what I said about Sarah.. I read the interview and I understood exactly what their intentions were with her character.. What I’m saying is that the writer did not do a very good job projecting their intentions..Im gonna make a list of her past partners…Casey is not gonna be included because he is more of an older brother figure to her.

first of all Bryce was Sarah’s boyfriend at some point so it seems logical to me that she slept with him(or whatever she did), as for Cole that was a brief moment, plus that basically he kissed her, and it did not affect the story whatsoever…
now with Shaw it’s different…Sarah was weak and Shaw was there to comfort her…you could say that he was in the right place at the right time…

Don’t know if Mel will rap me across the knuckles for speculating here, but I also think that is the last scene of the eps. We get C/S kissing, Benckman in the background trying to talk to them, and the camera pans to the window to show the Eiffel Tower. A perfect Bond-esque ending… LOL… 😀

My 2C
1. 1st picture: After Chuck asks “..do you love me” – Can be middle or the end of episode – Doubt they will end episode on such a perfect closer.
2. 2nd pic: Casey undercover in restaurant. I think Beckman will allow chuck to have Casey on his team/ or he is on it anyway. Sarah and Shaw dressed up for ‘Shaw’s mission’ at restaurant. I think he will want to do more than just kill Sarah – he is taking her to the Ring.
3. Pics 3/4/6 – Chuck Vs Shaw. Likely early/mid in the episode when chuck goes after Sarah at the restaurant. I predict Chuck saves Sarah, Shaw escapes because chuck can’t kill him.
4. Pics 7 & 9: Ring base – Chuck and Sarah goes in. Motive ? after ring leader / who ever made Sarah kill / after Shaw- if he is alive / based on intel from Shaw
5. Pic 8 and 10, 8 happens after 10, Very likely Sarah has to kill Shaw to protect Chuck – the intersect secret, likely at the end of the restaurant scene.
Let me know what you think, interesting to know what will come true. Don’t care either way. Chuck rules!

Chuck is holding a guitar hero guitar when he asks sarah if she loves him
Based on those screen shots and what I’ve seen from the NBC and CityTV promos plus other clips that have aired on talk shows, here’s my scenario for 3.13: (of course, I could be completely wrong.)
1. Chuck finds where Shaw took Sarah at the end of last week’s episode. Which actually turns out to be the Ring’s base.
2. Sarah sees the footage of her shooting Eve Shaw for her red test.
3. Shaw is about to shoot Sarah when Chuck shows up. Shaw convinces everyone that he wants to kill the Ring Director. Sarah believes him, but Chuck doesn’t. However, he goes along.
4. They find the Ring leader and kill him after a fight. Shaw kicks his body down an elevator shaft.
5. Sarah tells Chuck she’s leaving with Shaw to go to Paris.
6. Chuck goes home and sulks with a bottle of booze.
7. Morgan tries to take the bottle from him, and Chuck flashes and ties him up to leave him alone, then Chuck sits down and plays Guitar Hero.
8. Sarah shows up to say good-bye. Chuck asks if she loves him.
9. Sarah doesn’t say anything, but she plants a huge kiss on him. Then she leaves.
10. Chuck decides to follow her to Paris.
11. Morgan goes to Casey to tell him what is happening. Morgan wants to go to Paris to help Chuck and wants Casey to go as well. Casey doesn’t care, but Morgan challenges his manhood until Casey agrees (“Go to the closet and bring me my suit.”)
12. On the flight to Paris, Chuck flashes on something in Shaw’s background and realizes Sarah is in danger.
12. In Paris, Shaw takes Sarah to the street where she shot Eve. Chuck is posing as a waiter at a cafe.
13. As Shaw pulls his gun on Sarah, Chuck steps in and pulls a gun on him.
14. They get into a fight, Chuck loses his gun. Shaw knocks Chuck down.
15. Shaw gets his gun back and is about to shoot Chuck when Sarah tells him to stop.
16. Shaw turns around and Sarah is pointing her gun at him. But, she can’t shoot him.
17. Shaw lifts his gun at her, but before he can fire, Casey shoots him.
18. Sarah cries. Chuck consoles her.
19. Chuck and Sarah walk together through Paris. They find a small chapel and get married. Casey gives Sarah away and lights up a cigar after Chuck kisses the bride.
20. Chuck and Sarah go to a hotel room and start to kiss on the bed. As they lay back on the bed, the camera fades out………

One question: Why the heck would Sarah leave with Shaw to go to Paris if they already killed the Ring director?????? Sarah has for all intents and purposes closed off any possibility of a presonal relationhips with him so that is not the reason. If she goes to Paris it is for a mission. She had chosen to be with Chuck. The purpose of the DYLM is to show Chuck that Sarah does love him.

good guesses there, but Sarah is most definitely NOT leaving with Shaw.. I know some people missed that point at the end of “Chuck Versus The Other Guy”, but Sarah picked Chuck.. that’s why when Casey comes in, she says “if you’re here to plead his case, it’s really not necessary”.. that, combined with the smile on her face, and leaving the gun behind, leaves no doubt- she chose Chuck.. the main point here is that even before Casey came in, and by telling him it wasn’t necessary, we know she chose Chuck..
I do think Chuck will be confused, because he wouldn’t know it until later on,he will just assume she chose Shaw and that’s why they went off- grid together- hence the bottle and tied up Morgan..lol

1. Chuck finds out where Shaw took her, but it wasn’t the Ring base.
2. Correct, but that was easy from the CityTV preview.
3. Correct, Shaw was about to shoot Sarah. But, I’m not sure if it was a ruse.
4. Wrong. The killing was staged.
5. Wrong. Shaw convinces Beckman to order him and Sarah to Paris.
6. Correct, but not in that order.
7. Correct, but I saw that on Zac’s Bonnie Hunt appearance.
8. Correct, but it wasn’t to say good-bye. It was before they were ordered to Paris.
9. Wrong. She tells him that she fell for him all the way back in the pilot episode. Then she kisses him. Then Shaw calls.
10. Correct. After Morgan points out Shaw’s fight was a fake.
11. Correct. Morgan does challenge Casey’s manhood until he relents. Chuck was with them.
12. Wrong. Chuck knew she was in danger before the flight. The flash was not significant.
12 (again. Oops, I had two 12’s.) Correct. All the way.
13. Sarah was tranqed, but that’s correct.
14. Correct.
15. Wrong. Shaw says he doesn’t want to hurt Chuck. This is about Sarah.
16. Wrong. Sarah can’t move.
17. Wrong. Chuck shoots Shaw on the bridge.
18. Wrong. Chuck keeps Sarah from going over the bridge. He takes her to the hotel.
19. Wrong-unfortunately. No wedding. Casey lights up his cigar as he calls up Beckman on the laptop to show her the Ring Leader, get himself reinstated and get Morgan hired on the team.
20. Right. The camera does fade away as Chuck and Sarah lie down on the bed together.

As for the 1st pic., it’s definitely Chuck. Shaw now has a very good and definitive reason to hate Sarah, plus you can tell it’s Chuck simply by his hair. As for the DYLM scene, just watch the Canadian promo and Sarah’s answer will be given away. You can tell it’s that scene because Sarah is wearing the same top as the one in the promo during the Olympic break and her hair is also styled the same way. For people who are saying that they destroyed the Sarah Walker character this season, I completely agree with you. The Sarah/Shaw love interest arc was so rushed and flawed that it trashed the whole season as well as the Sarah character. But, there may be a logical reason for why they’ve trashed the C/S relationship this season. It’s the old (and in my opinion, stupid) TV trend that the show has to end as soon as the 2 leads get together for good. I think F&S must have known before the season premiered that they were going to have to get Chuck and Sarah together for good by the end of this season. But to them, that was something that couldn’t be done because the show would die (according to the trend). They had to find a way to greatly reduce the fans’ passion for it and push it way into the background so that Chuck being a spy would emerge as the new driving force of the show, and then when Chuck and Sarah did get together for good no one would care or think twice. I think they may have deliberately trashed it to the extremes that they did to all but eliminate the fans’ passion for it. I have to say, they’ve succeeded. I’ve read comments from many fans who hardly care about it anymore, and Chuck being a spy has become the driving force of the show. Of course, one has to ask, was all this even necessary? My opinion: hell no. That TV trend annoys the hell out of me, especially with a show like Chuck, which as so many parts to it. They could have pushed their relationship into the background to allow Chuck being a spy to become the driving force without trashing it like they did. My guess is they didn’t want to take any chances. It was a big gamble though, because it may have also killed the show, but of course we won’t know that until the season ends and the question of renewal comes up. I really don’t know why that TV trend exists. I actually think the show would benefit pretty well from getting them together for good sooner rather than later (the longer they keep them apart the more it’s going to hurt the show, so they have to get them together for good soon anyway) because all the other parts of the show would become more enjoyable to watch. For me, and I am a shipper, when they do the angst crap it just ruins all the other parts of the episode, and I believe this would happen for non-shippers as well.
As for the gunshot in the 3×13 promo, I would love for it to be Shaw who dies. I’m pretty sure the vast majority of the fan base (including me) hates him by now. He needs to make a nice exit and be gone for good. There’s also reason to believe it is him who gets shot because his arc was planned to be part of the original 13, not the additional 6. As for #19 and 20 in the list of Gambs predictions, those are reaching but I hope they’re true. It would be very cool to have an end like that.

This was the best Chuck yet. I finally have a real reason to fight for S4.I said Chuck would kill Shaw only I didn’t know how right I was. Sara was awesome in this episode.
