Chuck is in the final round of E!’s Save One Show poll, which ends Sunday, April 11. Co-creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak sent over a note thanking fans for supporting the show:
“It means everything to us that our fans have time and again come to our rescue.  They are a combo of Sarah Walker and John Casey, always there to swoop in and save Chuck.  Hopefully, Josh and I scream a little less than Chuck and are cooler in the face of danger (see: cancellation) but we appreciate them just the same.  So, for the record, thank you.  Thank you for campaigning for the show.  We would rather not get into trouble in the first place.  But, where’s the fun in that? Again, thanks!”

I’ve been voting like crazy these past couple of days. What is this Nielsen box? Is this the only way Chuck gets screened to see how many viewers watch the show? That is ridiculous, especially w/DVRs and this thing called the Internet. If you’re a true Chuck fan, you’d stop reading my comment and go vote! 😛
FYI: You might want to go back to the ‘Ratings’ topic here from a few days ago. Someone recently posted some very interesting info on how Nielsen actually works. It’s surprising, informative, (and maddening too)

BTW guys, I know it’s a pain in the butt to vote so many times. What I do is I bookmarked the E! website (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b175352_save_one_show_this_itvote_now_in_final.html?utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=rss_topstories) and have my bookmarks open in my Firefox sidebar. So check Chuck, type in the code, hit Vote and click on the E! link again for more voting. This wouldn’t be such a pain the arse if we didn’t have to type in the random codes. But that won’t discourage us will it fellow Chuckaholics?
Keep voting & do some occasional finger stretches in between!

Also in the body of the post is this in reaction to assertions (maybe in the comments?) that the Save One Show poll is a meaningless exercise:
“This is not nothing,” Chuck boss Josh Schwartz told me of Save One Show during an interview last week. “It’s worth a lot. If we win, it’s precisely the kind of thing we will bring to NBC when we make our pitch for next season. It’s a great anecdotal snapshot of our fans. So it definitely means something to us and to the show.”

Heroes was let in as the wildcard. I think it is a stupid rule, but I am just going to keep voting for Chuck about 100 times.
I can’t figure these polls on E! out. The first round, I was able to vote multiple times (and I did, probably around 50 times a day for about three days, all by clicking and typing) and then it closed out and didn’t show the voting section anymore whenever I visited the page. This round, one vote, closed out.
What gives, E!? I want to vote my fingers to little stubs too! 🙁
Keep trying…I’ve been able to vote more than once in this final round, so don’t give up–maybe it was a glitch of some kind.
I just voted twice by copying the web site address and dumping it into a new browser. It’s a little bit of a hassle but it seems to work.
I bookmarked the E! website and have my bookmarks open on my sidebar. It’s better than copying and pasting the address. Hope that’ll ease some of the redundant stress of voting so many times!

I think you can keep voting more than once (not 100% sure, but hey it can’t hurt can it?). You might also try voting at work / school / whatever other place you go online if they restrict votes based on IP address.
Also, I think you actually have to hit the “vote” button versus just hitting enter after typing in the security word. Hitting enter seems to just reload the page without registering the vote.

Whoops, sorry I forgot to include a crucial detail about re-voting: To vote multiple times (at least, this is what I do) you have to re-copy the original URL:

into the browser URL address bar and hit enter and it should show the poll section again with a new security word. Obviously, select CHUCK and fill in the security word and click the VOTE button (don’t hit enter, this doesn’t seem to register at least on Firefox).
SIMPLE “REFRESH” MAY NOT WORK.
Once you vote I found that it sometimes alters the URL to include some ID trackers that may prohibit you from voting twice until you re-enter the URL as mentioned above (it adds information about the security word). Re-entering the URL like above seems to clear said tracking and allows me to vote again. I’m not really sure how their voting system works since they don’t publish active results, but hey–let’s keep trying =).

The ‘refresh’ click has worked fine for me, and works more quickly too, it seems–whatever works, I say go for it!!

Hey everybody:
I am from Canada and find that more often than not the link to Eonline with Kristin opens to the Canadian site which doesn’t give us a chance to vote but when I change the site to U.S. then I can vote and since then I voted at work (10-20 times a day since the poll started) and at home. Every vote counts – I hope, even if it comes from Canada. I suspect it works the same if you are from Australia or Germany. Also I go to nbc.com and chuckmeout.com a couple of times a day to play the games and re-watch the previews (the full episode videos don’t work out of U.S.) and watch full episodes on city.com (I mean my TV or computer is running the show even though it is muted because I am working) – probably useless but just in case the network is taking note how many hits Chuck’s site get in a day.
I also programmed my TV to turn itself on to the show automatically every Monday in case I couldn’t get home on time (this is a symbol of support since watching live in Canada doesn’t count even if I am a Nielson Canada household which I am not). Every Monday my TV is onto the show at least twice, once on NBC and once on City TV, for S3.13 I watched the episode 5 times in one night (NBC, City TV and City TV in other provinces using time switching). Between Tuesday and Sunday, the latest two shows are available free on Rogers on demand. I also DVR for the summer. These are my ways of moral supporting the show.

hi, i am from ireland love the show havnt seen an episode of season 3 yet only clips on you tube it looks brill cant wait i have been voteing like mad to save chuck. i also think the way chuck is in danger is disapointing as many of my friends love chuck and our views are not taken into account cause season 3 is not on tv here yet but ill keep votin. Chuck is the best show on TV. 3 seasons and never a lull or bad writing/acting. Always fresh, always original. Heroes has had multiple chances to get it straight and has failed now for 2 to 3 seasons. The other shows just hit the airwaves and are already failing so honestly who cares. Lost is going, 24 is going and Doll House is already gone. Slowly everything I watch is going off the air to be replaced with awful reality TV and generic and unoriginal content. Please for the love of God can we please keep the one good thing on TV?! Hell, I will buy whatever crap they are pushing during advertising just to see the show continue!

Hey guys, here is another way you can vote multiple times:
If the website doesn’t let you vote multiple times, try running your browser in “PRIVACY” mode (Firefox go to Tools => Privacy, IE go to Safety => InPrivate Browsing). This prevents the cookies from getting stored on your computer and allows you to vote again because the polling website thinks your a new computer every time.
Alternatively, you can just copy and paste the URL into different browsers but that’s a little exhausting =).

2nd: vote and type the word.
3rd: i click on F5 to refresh the page (it’s more quickly).
4th: vote several times cause, in this particular poll, every person that’s voting is a desperate fan that sees his favorite show with the risk of being cancelled so there will be plenty of votes i guess, so all we can do is vote harder!
– note: i’ve been using the uk page and i’m a internet explorer user, not mozilla.
one more thing: the voting by twitter is still on i think. so all we have to do is type @kristinalert and #SOSCHUCK in one tweet. i’ve been seeing that a lot of people is doing this wrong, by not typing @kristinalert (without typing it kristin will never know so this vote won’t count! one lost vote, arrgghh).

This is very welcome but strange. I know they’re not in the habit of closing a poll page down when the polling is over so the page is still accepting votes.
This video is only appearing on the Canadian page at the moment. I’ll take it as confirmation of the win and HOORAY! but it’s almost like somebody slipped up somewhere. 😉
The voting must have been so overwhelmingly in favor of Chuck that they went ahead and taped the interview at what appears to be a NASCAR event over the weekend. Thanks Gord for pointing it out!

Maybe on the next poll they’ll actually turn the voting part off when they decree a poll is over.
Hey guys–I’m pretty sure that this was a slip-up. We should keep voting to make sure that CHUCK wins. My guess is that they taped all the “victory” videos beforehand since the cast members may be difficult to track down.

Yeah, that occurred to me, but since I did vote several hundred times on Friday and Saturday and a couple of hundred times before it shut me out the first time, my conscience is clear.
And I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it here, but E! doesn’t shut their voting mechanisms off when a poll is over. At least it appears as though it’s still accepts votes, so who knows when the final day and time is for voting? They never specified on the page. 😉

Someone on the NBC boards pointed out that the interview was probably taped in advance, along with all the shows’ stars that made it into the final round so that they wouldn’t have to track them down the day the winner is announced–wasn’t there a practice run for that Toyota Race one day last week that Zach attended (thus the racing gear he’s wearing)? Don’t know how that video would get out early….makes no sense.
Anyway, it would be a mistake to stop voting since the website is still accepting votes! Keep voting everyone!!!
Yeah, the “victory” video with Zachary Levi was pulled from the E! website today (it shows the thumbnail still but the video is unavailable). Additionally, the video was timestamped 4 days ago (long before the competition was scheduled to end). Someone definitely made a whoops and posted the wrong video…
